lol Vince Neil and Bruce should never be in the same sentence. Back in the 90's when he was at his prime, he was a damn good vocalist. He just doesn't care anymore. It's one thing to lose power and range as you age, even the best ever, like Elton John are singing in a lower key. Vince is so out of shape that he blurts out fragments. And he can't even remember the lyrics most of the time. He will not survive the upcoming tour. Not without some serious weight loss and training
@@valuedhumanoid6574 Even in his 'prime' he was shit live. I loved Motley when I was younger, and the rest of the band always killed it live but Vince has never been much of a singer.
To be able to manipulate your voice at 60+ yrs old and reach those high notes is incredibly difficult especially, as he said, without a proper vocal warm up. He is well versed in his craft. Clearly his voice has changed and the head voice is a different part he now uses to reach those high notes. In his younger days his chest/ throat would seem to do the majority of that work. So you will get that change.
I think it's the opposite. The younger you are, more throat and head you can use. And it's easy to notice how "closed" his voice sounds now, that's because he is using only the diaphragm. Putting in other words, he is singing like opera singers.
@@andersonarbues2967 i think the main reason his sound has changed is because he used to sing with more nasal resonance in the 80s.(high larynx) now he’s doing the classical approach since late 90s. I might be wrong though I’m not a pro, singing is just a hobby. But yeah I agree he is using opera technique now
I've heard a few of his contemporaries recently and their voices are shot. It's wonderful to hear that he has been able to maintain such power, precision and control for so long.
That reminds me of a documentary about maiden. One of the guys featured in it, a journalist I think, heard a Maiden song on the radio and the was completely in awe when he heard Maiden with Dickinson for the first time. His reaction, "Bloody hell, they got better!"
@@TheGreatestVoice1958 Always remember, Bruce is an athlete. He has extra muscle where it counts, through his core. An opera singer needs power in the diaphragm ( the long muscle under the lungs) as well as strong lungs. Having muscle down through the ribs, stomach and pelvis is necessary too. Opera singers are POWERFUL! Floor of Nightwish can wack in a corral fence post with just a few wallops from a hammer!
I caught two concerts from the PowerSlave tour back in 1984, before they left for Europe and when they returned to the US. As a 14 year old kid and fan I was in awe of his voice and had great seats both times, I remember never wanting those two nights to ever end.
I’m so. Thankful his voice remained the same. After seeing Axl rose, and seeing how he doesn’t even sound the same, comes to show the master mind of Bruce.
Holy crap. These songs are two of the loveliest vocal performances from his entire career. The Donnington show and the Sao Paola Scream for Me Brazil show. It’s cool that he still likes this song so much, though we don’t hear them.
Actually most people don't sound like they do to themselves. It has to do with reverberation. It's a bit like listening to a microphone with a voice altering attachment.
That‘s so interesting that he mentiones the whispery singing. It‘s something I tell my students all the time - so often they will tend to sing airy because they think it‘s safer, better for the voice, and this is false. Singing super breathy will harm ur voice as much as singing too pressed
Don't practice, don't warm up before the show, smoke throughout your life and make sure you drink a lot of Newcastle brown ale, thank you good night. Shortest singing master class in history.
Can we get an AMEN for the medical team that dealt with his cancer and saved his voice?
@jean-luc paradis How many drugs are you on my guy?
@jean-luc paradis 😬
@jean-luc paradis what?
Sim. Amém...
NO.
The crazy thing is….his voice stays just as strong as he runs and jumps across the stage.
It does not falter.
I know I personally think his an alien 👽 x
He does not need (does not need)
A microphone!
His voice is fucking (fucking)
POWERFUL!!!
There is one right to his mouth
He did not need ( did not need)
To blow our minds (to blow our minds)
But that shit happens to him
ALL THE TIME!!!
You should hear Darby Mills from the "Headpins" circa 1982...and she's, like 5 foot nuthin'
No problems with "volume".😎
@@tinkerwithstuff The joke is lost on you.
Go back to school.
Bruce is looking like he lives in an abandoned castle in Transylvania
or in a box
which is exactly how a 60+ years old heavy metal front man ought to look.
Do you believe in.. destiny?
It does and it's metal as fuck
It's hardly abandoned when THE Bruce Dickinson has taken up residence.
Saw Bruce singing with Samson in a nightclub around 1981...i was literally about 4-5 feet away from him at the gig and he deafened me...👍
Very powerful voice. Seen Maiden back in the day a powerhouse guys!
Likewise, saw Samson at the Marquee, and you knew he was the band, no disrespect to the other guys, where’s Thundersticks now?
Who was playing drums at the time, Thundersticks or Mel Gaynor?
just shaking my head at how fucking powerful his voice STILL is.
The fact that he can still sing that way after having throat cancer it's just a marvel
Wow. I knew he could sing but it's so powerful without music. He is magnificent.
God bless you Sir Dickinson !!!!!
And Vince Neil is sat in the front row of the audience taking notes!
Eating noodles more like!!!

I met Maiden on the Powerslave tour, great guys,no childish ego's and what an amazing show!
He is really getting his old voice back, and I love it!
He’s one of a kind! Bless him! 🤘
SCREAM FOR ME SILENT AUDIENCE!!!!!
I love this so much. His voice is still so amazing after all these years.
Bruce is so talented he still has such a powerful voice !!
So happy he's got his long hair back
short hair suits him well too
He cut it back to shoulder lenght again. From Balls to Picasso to Skunkworks part 2.
Hmm. Looking a bit like malfoys dad...prefer it shorter
@@emankcin1701 😲 Nooooo! Why Bruce, why?!
Now he looks like the 80s rock singer we new all them years ago 👍😉
It's funny how Bruce more and more becomes Eddie
Nicko is Eddie.
we're ALL Eddies. But our "reality" doesn't even let us know before it's too late
No,that would be Nicko
whatever happened to Eddie, he was here a minute ago
More flesh though...

To sing Aces High with full chest back in 84 is just mind blowing

Someone had to step up to take over the role of evil Metal Wizard when we lost Dio. Guess the Mosh of Cardinals finally made up their minds.

Top 5 ever in the history of vocalists in Metal music.
Long hair or short his STILL sings fcukin brilliantly ever since seen him in 1982 with maiden to present day 👏👏👏👏🤘🤘🤘

Why wouldn't he?
62 years old my good Bruce. Long live
I didn’t realise Bruce had grown his hair again! Looking like a true Grandfather of Rock now!
I did not know I needed singing lessons from Bruce Dickinson!
Bless him, multi talented and down to earth🙏🌟💯
Loved he used material from his solo years. Tears of the Dragon… great tune!
I was sad when Maiden got rid of Paul.
Until I heard Bruce.
First two albums are still the best 😉

He is just amazing. What a voice!
As a Metal singer with Opera training (sing opera too), Bruce hits the nail on the head with this one
Is it harder to sing opera or Iron Maiden songs? I feel like Bruce has a lot more range than even Pavarotti and his songs require a lot more stamina.

His vocals have gotten better as he’s aged🤘🏻
They didn't. He can barely sing "Run To The Hills" chorus. Still very impressive that he can reach those notes at his age.
