I'm also pretty sure it's the sleepless who write the blurbs on the back of each stormlight book. After reading how they talk in Edgedancer, and comparing that to the different names they have for each protagonist in TWoK, WoR, Oathbringer and RoW, they seem very similar. Food for thought.

Respectfully, I said this in another video but you're better off dropping the no spoiler label and go all out. You often end up spoiling some major things anyway. Most people searching for this kinda content are people who have already read the books and want to find new things or relive the books in a way.

Honestly.. i wonder how many people who watch these are actually unaware of these spoilers in videos.. its like we are unnecessarily sensitive to spoilers but the only people who watch these have likely read almost all the main Cosmere literature

I find it very interesting you read Thaidakar as having a literal ailment. On my readthrough of RoW, it seemed to me that he just wants to find a way off world, and the Heralds are, like him, heavily invested cognitive shadows stuck within the confines of the world and subastral they originated on. Sure, he wants to get stormlight off world, but only insofar as stormlight is connected to Roshar and degrades as it is taken farther. If a way is found to sever that connection and allow for off-world travel, he is free to take his plans elsewhere, not relying solely on his agents to do it for him.
My opinion has definitely shifted on this upon further reflection, as well as with the release of TLM. When I originally made this video, we were just a few months removed from ROW revealing who thaidakar is, and I would definitely dive deeper into this if I remade this video today. Maybe I'll make an update on this before Stormlight 5.... 🤔
It seems the Ghostbloods are more "good guys" in "the Lost Metal" than they are in the "Way of Kings: series.
Sanderson said Kelsier is operating on a survival of the fittest mindset and he likely sees Roshar as a world to be exploited. They perceive themselves as a force of greater good but I wouldn’t call them ‘good guys’ either

Quick question. Are we sure the Set and the the group working for Trell are the same? I'm rereading the Mistborn era 2 books in prep and just finished Shadows of Self (Era 2 Book 2) so could easily be forgetting something we learn in Bands. However, I thought it was more like two separate groups whose paths to their separate goals happen to aligned temporarily. I thought Mr. Suit implied he just used them but his group had their own agendas. The Set imprisoned women to breed bloodlines to get a full Mistborn or stronger. While Trell's people seems to want to "Free" people from Harmony.
They appear to be collaborating closely, and it's more or less confirmed at the end of BOM when a servant of trell comes to kill a certain member of the set. But as of now, nothing is officially confirmed, that is correct

Yeah, the old ones were more than a bit long. Definitely excessive. If I could go back, they would all be as short as they are nowadays.
