    I love your videos! I wanna be able to do this one day, but I still have to go to school. I am only 12 years old and still don't know what i wanna be when I grow up, but I'm thinking of being an engineer (because I LOVE doing Math) or being a reseller (because I wanna do business.) Keep up the good work!

    Hi! Showed this and your initial 'How To" videos to my sons and they both inspired them to start an eBay store. They are 11 and 12 yrs old. However, my 11 yr old pointed out that they will probably need more than 20 dollars to start because they need to allocate some money for postage costs, after they hopefully sell the item. They read that for a new seller, there is a Paypal Hold Time of 10 days before the payments are released. I will let you know how they do. Thanks for sharing!

    • @RunwayMUA
      @RunwayMUA  7 років тому +11

      I wish I could give this comment a hundred thumbs up!!!!
      A huge CONGRATS to your sons. It is so amazing that they want to start their own stores. Their initiative is terrific, clearly they are going to be successful in everything that they do!
      Second, your sons are totally and completely correct. Paypal does have an initial hold time on the funds and you will need to pay for shipping BEFORE the money for the sale clears. So indeed, there are additional funds that are going to be needed. (Shipping per item that weighs under a pound is around $3+). So if we were able to see all 5 items, that could be an additional $15 or $20 before Paypal pays out. I will be sure to mention this in my shipping video.
      I can't wait to hear how they are doing!!! And if they (or you) have any questions, please feel free to email me at flipping20challenge@gmail.com.

      Fab and Chic at 50
      I was telling my 8 yo he can post some of his things in my store to sell this summer and I will teach him how to weigh and package his items. Ebay also has the pay for shipping later option that comes out when your funds are released.

    • @jeremymckay4430
      @jeremymckay4430 7 років тому +6

      Let me clarify: new accounts will have funds held for 3 days after confirmed delivery or 7 days after estimated delivery date. In some instances, the funds will be held for upto 21 days. When paying for postage, eBay makes up to $15.00 available if you choose to Pay Later when you print your postage. When you select that option, the postage costs won't come out until the payment is released. Hope that helps.

    Thank you for sharing those pins on Pinterest about the different types and styles of clothing as well as patterns. This is something I really struggle with and I normally just have to go and find some other listing that's similar to what I've got and use their key words, but now I feel like I can make my own key words based off of those sources. Thank you so much! Btw I've been selling on eBay for 2 years, and I'm still learning from you.

Also you are easy to follow in your videos. We do have a Staples and Dollar Store here in the Ozarks. I feel like I am ahead of the game all ready.LOL So, I am going to give this a whirl.
    Some Questions: How do you keep your records for income tax? Where do you store your items? How many items can we list at first? Could you show how you organize your shipping supplies and inventory? What all do you sell on eBay? What kind of phone do you have for photos? Thanks for your help.

    Hi, so I agree with you that you should wash the clothes but that 1- isn't feasible for people living in apts that can't have wash machines & dryers in their apts 2- gets really expensive to go to the laundromat & 3- a lot of the clothes may have original tags on them. I think that throwing them into just the dryer on low heat will get rid of smells or buy a steamer which helps to clean & sanitize as well as unwrinkle the garments which just water. BTW I love your very informative videos.

      Danielle Hill Lestoil works very well on removing oil and protein based stains from fabric including old set in stains. Ring around the collar, sweat stains, some paints, tar, tree sap, smoke damage, and even some molds. Work the area with a small brush before washing. Any piece of clothing that can be saved, can now be sold.

    I just found you on UA-cam & love your videos - very informative & you are a great teacher. I work part-time & am considering reselling on eBay to bump up my income as I love thrifting anyway. I wondered if you would consider doing a video that breaks down what fees you pay to sell on eBay. I am interested in learning how the costs & profit break down. I realize this info is available on eBay but you explain things so clearly! Thank you. I do have a comment, though, about the Global Shipping Program. As a buyer in Canada, I do not find this program to be to my advantage. Most of the time unless it is something I really want & can't find elsewhere, I will not buy from a seller using this program because I know I will automatically pay more for the item. I have been buying on eBay for several years & have only very rarely had to pay custom fees & duties (I can only think of two occasions, actually.) So I would rather roll the dice when it comes to those fees rather than automatically paying them up front. Thanks again for your excellent videos!

    I realize this is an old vlog but wanted to thank you for sharing your wisdom. I just started and also believe in washing the clothing I sell. I have also gone to the extra expense and had a silk Tommy Bahama dry cleaned which will really eat up my profit margin. Do you think it would be a benefit to include in your item description that my items are freshly washed in unscented laundry detergent and ready to wear? Especially my silk dry-cleaned items? Maybe these are crazy questions but you mentioned in the first video of this series about the offensive thrift store smells that are attached to clothing. I am watching all your vlogs and can't thank you enough. You are awesome!

    Love your channel. Would love some tips on what types of packages to choose when it’s time to ship. I could always use a “For Dummies” level video about how to measure clothing properly.

    So glad to see you wash the items 😀. So many people don't and that is gross

      Couponing SegParsons Most people wash the clothes when they get them, so it's not surprising people send them unwashed. I, personally, would only wash them if they smelled funny or the peice is super wrinkly, otherwise it's a waste of time and money. (:

    Thank you for sharing your tips with us. Can I give a bit I have advice on your video photos? On the $20 bill you need to mark out the serial number. You can get a lot of trouble by having it on there and I don’t want that for you. I hope that helps
