Welcome to day 16 of the Kundalini Yoga Weight Loss Challenge with Mariya Gancheva! This set is a master exercise for the entire glandular system and especially your thyroid gland, responsible for the metabolism. We will chant WAHE GURU throughout almost all exercises. You will have to experience this kriya to understand its benefits. We will do a total workout for the thyroid, pituitary, and pineal glands. And we will sweat a lot as we release a lot of energy. It is good to meditate after this kriya as the body will feel lighter, the mind calmer, and your awareness sharper.

Wahe Guru - Wow! The divine inner teacher, the dispeller of darkness is beyond description! This mantra expresses the indescribable experience of going from darkness to light. It is a mantra of infinite ecstasy. Happy am I, Healthy am I, Holy am I
This mantra confirms each person’s birthright to be Healthy, Happy, and Holy.
Sa Ta Na Ma - this mantra is used to increase intuition and balance the hemispheres of the brain. Sa (infinity, cosmos, beginning) Ta (life, existence) Na (death, change, transformation) Ma (rebirth)
Sat Nam - truth is my identity. This mantra reinforces the divine consciousness in everyone. It is used as a greeting as well as the mantra for Kundalini Yoga exercises, inhaling Sat (truth), exhaling Nam (name, identity).

I too have discovered this! I LOVE chanting and I love chanting with others...it is so powerful...wonder if you ever pursued this, meaning found good chanting UA-cam videos or a little course? Makes me so elevated
I get bored easily so this is great! I’m never bored with these Kristen. Hatha yoga was too repetitive for me.
Also I don’t feel that safe in my body. This practice is helping me to be IN my body more.

I’m here again, this time for doing only this kriya for 40 days.
Wahe Guru! I don't know what happened exactly but when we started chanting Sa-Ta-Na-Ma, it felt as if I was engulfed by a bright light that shot up my back and then the tears just started streaming. I still feel emotional. It was a beautiful experience. Is it normal?

I am super picky about my yoga instructor videos. So far you are only the 2nd I come across that I love. The other guy I used to watch doesnt have accessible videos anymore was part if a free on demand network thing. I try other videos all the time and I cant follow proper. You're new number 1.

I had something loosen up and go down my neck and throat when doing these thyroid exercises! Some sort of blockage or congestion did actually break up and move down my throat and neck

I loved it but I struggled with my feet up and down as my feet are dodgy and not a good balance as a result on my toe nails

When I was doing the first few exercises with the breath of fire, my trapeze muscles were burning so much. It was very painful. I know it means release but what is it really. Thank you!!! Just so happy for that practice!
Don’t worry, burning is normal. We release tension from all parts of the body, and sometimes we don’t even know we have it. So enjoy the process and relax into it. M

Thanks a lot! After it I always feel better. :) sometimes there is weird sound in my ears, it's like the radio is looking for the right channel noise. Is that normal?
Glad you feel better after practicing :) the sound in your ears may have something to do with blood pressure but not something common so I would advise you to take it easy and if the symptoms continue make sure you see a doctor 🙏 Blessings x

Sat Nam! Does it make a difference if after exercise I sit in easy pose for a few seconds to inhale and hold it for seconds, relax before moving on to the next exercise? That's what I've been doing... Thanks. Sat Nam!
Ana Dias sat nam. That is absolutely fine if you feel the need to rest between exercises. Some can be quite strenuous. You can also do longer relaxation at the end of each class if you have some time. Blessings, Mariya
Sat nam I have been performing this KRIYA for 9 days now for my 40 day sadhana,and it's been giving me a lot of anxiety and low moods I just wanted to know if that common with this kriya? is it apart of the cleansing process? thanks so much
Durk Deberry sat nam. Yes it is common as you are working tons with the thyroid and the hormonal secretion so it will take some time to come back to balance. It is important to keep track of your progress when you do a sadhana for 40 days, as this is a deeper practice and can affect us in ways we never even thought it could. Durk Deberry sat nam. If you haven't exercised your neck much and it was stiff from stress or work, yes, indeed. Any pain we feel after a practice is a sign we have just shifted the energy of that specific part of our body. If the stiffness continues do some more beck stretches until the muscles relax. M
