My Top 5 Favorite Common Houseplants | Basic House Plants
Вставка
- Опубліковано 26 лип 2024
- Today I'm sharing with you my list of top 5 favorite common houseplants (in my opinion). The word common or basic can give such a boring vision of a houseplant. But, it doesn't have to be that way. All plants are unique and special. Common houseplants are easily accessible, but if you look a little closer, you can see their beauty and uniqueness.

Now I will add more flower to my house because I saw your flower selection good to indoor.
It is amazing how most of the names given to plants make a sense in the way they are shaped up. My eight year old daughter and I like to watch your videos, she found an aloe zebra 🦓 and she bought it at a store this weekend when she went with her dad to the store, then she gave it to me as a surprise! She said that she remembered the zebra name of the plant from your videos. I have enjoyed this summer taking care of the succulents I bought during this season, seeing them growing and taking care of them has make this quarantine less stressful to me.
That's wonderful! She's becoming a plant parent already.
That Portucalaria is adorable and looks fab as a bonsaï !
It's fun to see what everyone is picking as their "common" favourites!
It was hard to narrow it down too. Thanks for visiting Sylvie!
Hi Carmen, just spent several hours outside with plants on my 6B zone porch. Weather has been very wet and temps dropping already, so I'm starting to prepare to acclimate plants back inside, sad... Thank you for making COMMON, OK! We DON"T all have money just to buy every 'IN' plant, and then there is the care of said plants and hey, some times they get bugs or die, for goodness sakes! I just read an article that a man in New Zealand spent 5000.00 on a RARE Tetrosperma variegated. MADNESS! My favorites: peace lily, arrowhead plants, pothos (LOVE my neon), philodendron (prince of orange, WOW), and last but not least my zz raven (really enjoying her). Great video, nice to see you!
Those are great favorites. I almost selected my Marble Queen Pothos to share. $5K is ridiculous to spend on a plant that could die! Hope he know how to take care of it.
I just re-potted Mumsie's Syngonium last week. I bought her the one that's sort of a tannish pink color, many years ago. It's quite the little monster now. Most common plants aren't that common here in the armpit of PA. I try not to get caught up in the It Plant mania because I don't believe in buying a plant you're not equipped to grow. I grow mostly succulents with a concentration in cacti, but I've been influenced by that stinker, Christian. When I saw a Neon Pothos like his in a local store, I almost ran to the register with it! I love that thing and it makes me very happy. I'm not sure who to blame for the hoyas that live here now, but we are three. My "plant guy", as I call him, works at a local big box store and he's the most corrupting influence as far as plants go. He's really great about giving amazing markdowns for the plants his workers damage. My Rhaphidophora tetrasperma cost me $5. I over watered and over potted it, but managed to save it in time, although it's very small between the store neglect and my over abundance of love. I got my starfish from the same store. Someone dropped it and broke the main root. I skipped out of there with a total bargain. It's now rooted and doing very well and is the size of my hand. They're not common around here at all. I'd never seen one in person until that day. I have the variegated elephant bush and it's been in full PA sun since Spring. We don't get anywhere near as hot as you do in AZ. I have a few gorgeous snake plants; they also bring me immense joy, especially my precious Whitney (found at Home Depot!) and my Black Star. There's something about a really well grown, manicured plant that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I will not pay a few hundred dollars for something that needs a ton of humidity when I've been fighting humidity for years, as a cactus fanatic. My precious hoyas and my pothos get a mist every day, but that's my only concession to humidity.
It's great to have a "plant guy" to get you those deals, I need to get me one of those! Yes, Christian can be quite the influencer. I'm hoping my 4" string of hearts is influenced by his! have a great weekend!
I absolutely loved your little bonsai elephant 🐘 bush pott . As always 💗 I really enjoyed your video. Take care & God bless you.
I was so happy to see a new video posted today! After a busy, hectic day with kindergarteners that have special needs, your videos are so soothing & calming. Thank you, Carmen. 🤩
I'm so glad I could provide you some comfort! Thanks for all you do for kids and teaching during these times. Stay healthy!
Omg yes to the white butterfly syngonium, that is my top favorite houseplant! Mine is as big as a small shrub, it grows like a weed for me. Idk if she drank from the fountain of youth, but my white butterfly, along with my pink syngonium, have tolerated dappled direct sun all throughout the spring and summer without sunburn. I love my common houseplants, I'm glad you made a video about them! 🙂
I'm glad they are getting more attention now. Not everyone can afford the more expensive plants. If you can, that's great, but we all need to be proud of our collections and the "common" plants. Thanks for watching!
Your ideaology matches my own. Your syngonium was beautiful. I have never seen the variegation. There so many plants to choose from. Thank you for sharing your ideas. I loved it. The more assessable or common planrs are often easier also, thriving with a little less effort, and just as lovely.
I love your Elephant Bush bonsai! So cute. 💗
Thank you! 😊
💚Hello AZ friend! Sansevieria is always a Sansevieria here too! 100% No houseplants outside in winter here 100mi north of you. It freeze's here! My favorites (that I don't kill) are... Sansevieria, Dracaena, Pothos, Monstera's, Philodendrons, and of course my all time favorites...Orchids!!!! I have Cattleyas, Phalaenopsis, Vanda's, and Oncidium's. I definitely want "more" Vanda's,🌿🌿🌿my "ALL TIME FAVORITES!!!"🌿🌿🌿
Hi Sharon! I hope it's cooling down for you, we're still hot down here. Yes, you definitely need to bring them inside. That's wonderful you have such a talent with orchids. Not everyone can do that.
Arrowheads all the way!! I love spider plants, with babies hanging all around. They are fabulous. Haven't seen that one hit anyones list yet :(
I had a spider plant a couple years ago and it didn't make it. I didn't have the right conditions for it then. But, I think I need to give that one another try. Thanks for visiting!
Wonderful plants! I really like the syngonium white butterfly. So gorgeous. 🌿 I agree with you Carmen. I'm happy with my collection . I would probably stress out trying to keep a very expensive plant alive. There's no happiness in that! Lol
Yes, plants are suppose to bring is joy and relaxation. Stressing over a plants survival because you spent hundreds of dollars can not be good for your mental health.
Love the bonsai! There is a reason “common” plants are more accessible, their chances of thriving are higher. I want my plants to have a higher chance to live. Hard to pick favorites ! My Lowe’s rescue Ctenanthe Lubbersianna from 2 years ago started with 5 leaves..now has over 40! I can’t imagine paying hundreds of dollars for a plant and it eventually dies.
I feel bad when a $10 plant dies, I can't imagine my reaction when a $200 plants dies. Yikes!
Love the starfish, all sansevieras. It’s good that no one has deemed them as rare as I have been collecting them cheaply.
Yes, I'd really be in trouble then! I am still after the Whale Fin. But, a local nursery has them and $40 may be the right price for me.
Carmen Whitehead so not sure if you are willing to take a chance that you get some dupes but there is a place recommended by summer oakes. Bob Smoley’s sells a selection of 10 sanseveira for $50 plus $20 shipping. You have to email them and you can’t choose but I always get some really interesting ones. And that is a bargain
Hi Carmen! Love this tag from Christian 💚. My favourite accessible plants are Sansevieria, philodendrons, pothos, rubber plants and syngonuims!
Excellent list Octavia! Philodendrons like Brazil and heartleaf are very accessible. Thanks so much for watching!
Good morning sunshine, I just LOVE the cheers of ur cup of coffee☕ to greet ur UA-cam friends ❤💋❤
Good morning and enjoy your morning coffee!
Your Syngonium White Butterfly looks fabulous 💚💚💚
Love your bonsai
Great plant selection 😄
Thanks so much 😊
All of your plants you showed was beautiful. Awesome job on the elephant bush nice touch with the elephant, like he's eating. I asked you about your bush last year I believe. You reply back. I've been trying to get a nice one ever since. My box stores over water them so bad you can't save them.It still on my list.
Thanks Carmin 💞. Love your plants. Great to see your videos.
Thanks for the awesome share hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy
I love your portulacaria! And I can’t believe I forgot aglaonema on my list. There are just too many cool plants! Love your list Carmen!
Thanks Stef! It's great that there are a lot of common plants to choose from. I've seen different plants on everyone's lists.
Thank you for sharing 5 Awesome house place that will look good in anyone’s home .And I love the leaf structures were so different and pretty
Thank you! I appreciate your support!
I to have a lot of common plants love them. Your collection is wonderful thanks for sharing
I always love your videos! My current faves for common houseplants: 1) Syngoniums 2)Pothos 3) Heartleaf Philodendrons 4) dracenas 5) boston fern
Great list! I was going to choose Heartleaf Philodendron and my Marble Queen. But, they are definitely in my top 10. Thanks for watching!
Scindapsus Pictus Exotica is my #1 for sure! Philodendron Brazil, Ficus Elastica Ruby, ZZ and Monstera Adansonii 💚🌱🧚🏼♀️🌿
Excellent choices Carly!
Thanks for sharing your lovely plants. I found a Prince of Orange at a local grocery store for $9.99 (I couldn't believe it). I love common, cheap and easy-to-care for plants such as Pothos, Philodendron, and Scindapsus.
Yes, those are great plants too. What a deal on the Prince of Orange! Thanks so much for watching Luna!
Thank you Carmen, another great video. Beautiful plants, the syngonium and aglaomena were wonderful. I love all my houseplants but sansevieria are my present favourites - can't resist stroking them. Will have to get a starfish.
I love my starfish. It's just no fuss and keeps giving me pups. What a great relationship!
A nice bunch of plants
I love this tag and I particularly loved that you called them easily accessible. I recently found your channel after Christian featured you, and I'm looking forward to watching your other videos.
Thanks so much for visiting Kathi! I found your channel through Nicole from My Clean Leaves and I love the video rant you did. It was exactly what needed to be said.
@@carmenwhitehead Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. 😊
Lovely! I've got all those plants and they are amazing! Grow well, look unique, i love them! Especially this sansevieria is sooo cute! Mine is small yet, still baby, but non the less cool!
It will definitely grow. Mine was half that size when I got it and I already separated some of it. I'm going to let it grow all it wants now. Thanks so much for visiting!
I don't know how common they are in other places, but I absolutely love rhipsalis plants too. I can usually find one or two varieties at my local nurserys and sometimes at the box stores. Love your choices too. The Wishes is one of my new favorite plants. I have collected hoyas for years, so of course they are a favorite, but they are so ridiculously prices right now, I'm not recommending them to anyone. I have actually been spending more time on finding and enjoying the more common tried and true plants that are easily obtained without spending a fortune on something that could likely die on you if you miss a couple of waterings.
That's great advice to follow Mairzee! It's terrible to lose a plant, but one you paid so much money for is even worse! Thanks for watching!
I enjoyed your video. I totally agree, I love your choices and have those too. I will get what I love, I don't care if it is ordinary or not. I have always had houseplants my entire adult life I have never seen prices so high.but I do love the variety becoming available.
I agree the prices are astronomical. Always was a plant person from a wee girl and now I’m a crazy plant senior. Love the fact so many are finally becoming plant people. Makes me happy. 😀
That Bonsai is super cute that is a great DIY project. Any of the Pothos is my favorite💗🍀☘️🌵🌱🌿
Yes, I almost shared the marble queen pothos.
Hi Carmen. ...love your plants, they are beautiful! 😊 💚 I love all house plants and all garden plants as well! Thank you for all the great information that you are so willing to share. 😊
You are so welcome!
Love your choices
Thank you so much for sharing that awesome miniaturized garden of yours loved it so much hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy do you know grandma Cindy loves miniature Gardens
I really like that bonsai, great idea. Another great video and thanks for sharing.
I got the idea from Pinterest and thought it was a great idea. I love the little guy and it was very serendipitous to find the little elephant.
Love your five plants that you picked. Your Starfish is beautiful!
Thanks Violet! She really is one of my top favorite plants. No fuss and always growing.
I love the starfish sanseviera
Love your videos PR
Love the portulacaria afra 🤗
Good choices be blessed keep growing
My boyfriend had gifted me a Syngonium berry allusion months ago at the time I thought it was such a boring plant but as the months went on It has really grown on me, its nowhere near as huge as your white butterfly this guy is beautiful! 😍
I'm wanting to add a berry allusion to my collection. Now, there is an Albo Syngonium (variegated) that is gorgeous, but still too much money for me. Thanks for visiitng!
Love the bonsai!!! My favorite common is pothos. So many beautiful varieties and easy care.
I almost shared the Marble Queen Pothos. They are such easy plants. Thanks for visiting!
Red is your color Carmen! Thanks for another fun & informative plant video. 🌱😊☀️
Thanks so much V! I'll keep that in mind next time I'm shopping.
@@carmenwhitehead 😊
Glad that you shared opinion about PRICES .. I refuse to pay over $15 for a 6in pot..
You are so cleaver Carmen - I have that same little green jade elephant; I inherited it from my Mom. The elephant food plant (Portulacaria Afra) is great for shaping like a bonsai; that is such a good idea. I have the plain green kind I would love to have the light green like yours, maybe plant them together mixed up in the same pot - I think that would be pretty. For me they seem to grow like weeds. I just cut a long piece off, cut off low leafs and let tip heal over for a day; then stick them in moist soil. I use it for so many things - spikes in flower planters, etc. Maybe I will do the bonsai thing to make a center piece for my patio table, it is one of the few succulents that can stand this severe heat in the Phoenix area.
They are really good growers and are used quite a bit here in Phoenix. Thanks for watching!
Love my “common” houseplants🤎Nice choices for your top 🖐🏻 favorite 😁 Aglaonemas are some of my favorites as well 😍 I agree about the Snake Plants as “Sansevierias” that’s gonna be a hard habit to break 😅 Great video, Carmen! 🙏🏻🍃💕
I think we need to make a Team Sansevieria and band together to keep calling them by their true name! LOL!
Carmen Whitehead~ Yes! 🙌🏻😅
I just got an aglaonema today!! I just think they’re such beautiful plants but definitely overlooked
You're right! The varieties are endless and so easy to care for. Definitely an overlooked genus of plants.
Beautiful plants Carmen, love Aglaonemas.
Me too Lynn! I still have more on my wish list too!
Beautiful !!! I may Try a bonsai plant
Great choices Carmen💚🤗I love your philodendron🤩
I definitely agree that plant prices have gone insane, I must admit I bought a few, but over the past few months they have been way out there, I’m like you I’ll wait😌
Remember when the Pilea was the "must have" plant? Now you can find it even at the supermarket!
Hello, Carmen. I am a newbie subscriber. I love watching your videos, and I really am glad I found this one. I have not been buying plants very long, but my husband says I have too many! LOL I enjoy the common plants too....resources for older folks are fairly limited to be sure. I have to tell you that I absolutely, totally, completely, with all my being love your bonsai!!! I don't think I would have the guts to try that....and I don't think I have the talent either....but I adore yours!!!! I know that you have moved to Florida since this video was made. Did you take the bonsai with you? I would have had to. We have a Boston Terrier named Rosie so, every time you speak to your dog, I look around for my dog! LOL I think your hair is so darn cute cut like this style! I think you and I could be great neighbors! LOL
Hi Sharon and welcome! I didn't bring the bonsai with me, but I will definitely need to get a new one. thanks so much for stopping by!
Hello Carmen. Just found you today. Loving house plant videos and how to do things. LOL I am semi stalking your videos. I really enjoyed this one on the common house plants. I am so that girl. Been growing HP since the Early 70's HA YES I am that old. Now in my early 70's myself. I loved every plant yo posted. I have all but the Starfish One day it will happen. Living in the middle of nowhere plant shopping is Walmart Home Depot or even my local grocery store sometimes have some gems. I just found a Fernwood Sansevieria. Well I saw her over a week ago and left her then when I had an appointment back in town I decided if she were still there she would be going home with me and she was and did. Saw your instagram link so just requested to follow you. Also I adore pothos and always have had them. I had no idea until last year there were so many different delicious flavors of them. I only have a few different ones.
Hi Chris and welcome to our plant community! Walmart and Home Depot can be good for finding plants. Sometimes you'll be surprised what you find there. Thanks so much for watching!
@@carmenwhitehead The WM and HD I can get to are ok for outdoor plants but only two tables of indoor plants. So I have filled my home with propagations from all those common plants we love so much. Got sidetracked from watching to listening to the scanner about a large fire approaching. I am safe but it is really bad just up the road from me about 10 miles. Kind of scary how fast fire can travel. I was out in my yard a little bit ago and there is ash all over my plants.
@@shadesofidaho Stay safe Chris!
I really like your choices. I most particularly liked the portulacaria afra. I just saw this both kinds at a local succulent nursery and love it. Think I may steal your idea and do the bonsai thing. Thank you. 😀
It's small enough to keep on a table with bright light too. Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you for sharing 🙏🏾
No problem 😊
You and your plants bring joy to my life😁😊😍
Ahh! I'm so glad Patricia! I appreciate your visiting today.
Great picks! Yes, forever Sansevieria! I don't think I can ever stop calling them that.
The starfish is quite interesting! I haven't seen any of those at my local nursery as of right now, but I hope they acquire them! I'm in love with plants that look a little "strange." Like the pilea peperomioides and mamey croton :))
Beautiful your houseplants. Aloha from Hawaii.
Aloha! Thank you for visiting! 😊🌱💚🐶.
Thanks for sharing 😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍
I love my lil elephant bush! I have a variegated one, and another one that I’m not sure if it actually is a portulacaria
Can u do a video, to show us just how to trim, & shape a plant into a bonsi plant? ❤
Great choices! A few days ago I bought a butterfly syngonium after admiring yours.
That's great, hope it does wonderful for you.
I like common. 💞
I love your choices!
I am loving watching all my planty youtubers favorite “common” 5
🌿🌱🌿🌱🌿
My list:
1. Any Sanseviera (yes I have a starfish)
2. silver queen pothos
3. Monstera adansonii
4. Ricrac cactus
5 fittonia albivenis (nerve plant)
extra... pilea peperomioides
Those are great choices Vicki. I almost selected the Marble Queen Pothos. I also need to get another Pilea, mine didn't make it this year. Thanks for watching!
Pothos and spider plants are my favorite common plants.
Yes, I almost shared the Marble Queen Pothos. Thanks so much for visiting Margie!
Bonsai elephant ear great for centerpiece table look cute.
Tag you soon mrs. Carmen 🥰🥰😁
i have that first one
As always, Carmen, you make "common" anything but... My opinion? Plants are of this earth and we lovers of them should remain down here on earth as much as possible, in our enjoyment of them! Your elephant bush bonsai really is the cutest thing ever...and btw where did you get that jade elephant?...it is just so lovely! Speaking of lovely and of plants, I took on a challenge this week and bought myself four teensy weensy little two inch pots, two of the white butterfly, and two of the pink variety, of syngonium. I'm gonna grow 'em from scratch! (well, here's to hoping anyway....😀)
I was to lucky to find that little elephant at Goodwill a couple of years ago. What a great find! I think I paid $5 for it. I love growing plants for 2" pots. It's a challenge and then an accomplishment when you eventually repot them into a bigger pot. Good luck!
@@carmenwhitehead Thanks, Carmen, and fingers crossed - my first time with syngoniums. And Goodwill is another thing I can thank you for - I'm planning once a month thrift shopping now - so I can scour the ones near me for goodies! I'm Indian so of course like the Brits I love me my tea - and I was looking for a big old teapot with some flair - and I found the coolest one, at my local Goodwill, for next to nothing (ya, like maybe $5). I'm absolutely positive it's vintage and is worth more - but I'll have to do the research. I wish I could show you a photo of it. Totally mid-century modern and dorky cool...makes me smile wide...
@@scp5577 If you have Instagram you can tag me @carmenwhiteheaddesigns so I can see the teapot. I love finding treasures like that!
@@carmenwhitehead I'm such an old fuddy duddy that I don't really do social media - except for Facebook to keep up with my relatives in India. Otherwise - I figure I'll fail at the technology!
I found a 4 inch star fish at Walmart. Believe it or not. Also they have the nicest ceramic white planters for 5 bucks.
Wow! That's incredible! Great finds.
Hi from India.. Madam..🙏.. you have fantastic collection of plants. Heard that Aglaonema flowers takes away lot of energy from the plant .. please suggest as my Aglaonema shoots out a lot of flowers and depleting the lush look. Watch your videos a lot for the best, calm and composed explanation. Kudos 🙏
Hello Anand, thank you for visiting all the way from India! I have heard of plant parents cutting the blooms on Aglaonemas. I let them bloom and as soon as I see the bloom is fading then I cut it. But, I enjoy the bloom and haven't noticed it depleting the plant.
Hi Carmen! I bought a Portulacaria afra on your recommendation in your other video for my son. He is interested in bonsai. Thanks!
That's great! He should give it a try.
Love your bonsai!!!! I will definitely be trying that 💚🌱🧚🏼♀️🌿 Is it also known as an elephant bush?
Yes, it's also known as elephant bush. Because elephants do eat it in the wild in South Africa. It's a great resource of water for the.
Hi Carmen, have my eye on the starfish, definitely will be getting one soon😊 definitely not common to me.. love the bonsai, how cute 😁
By the way,, my " common" but beautiful houseplants are:
Oxalis
Crown of thorns
Bromeliad
Syngonium
Golden pothos.... if I am limited to 5 which is hard 🤔
Those are great selections. Bromeliads are hard for me, I don't have any right now. Thanks so much for watching and sharing!
Planterina .com is carrying the starfish if you cannot find close to you! XO
@@thewakingwall7995 thanks 😊
@@carmenwhitehead the bromeliad can be kind of sad, because the mother plant dies off when she produces her pups😐 so I have 2 pups to seperate, and I will see if they now flower for me😉 this is new to me, but I am following tips and I will let you know 🤔
@@lorrainecourtney4589 Good luck!
I really do prefer this positivity centric way to deal with the "rare" plant craze
I been watching your lovely videos and I'm surprised you didn't mention a aloe plant.
I have showcased my Aloe before in other videos and I wanted to select some plants I hadn't shared in a while or at all. Hope you enjoyed it and thanks for watching.
Yes I adore it. It was very informative. Lots of love from New Zealand 🇳🇿 ❤
@
@@katiehampton2248 Thank you, NZ is beautiful from what I've seen. And I love the show Brokenwood Mysteries! 😄💚
It’s very interesting to see what is “common” in other parts of the world through this tag - what’s basic for you may not be common for me!!!
That's so true! Many plants in Europe that are common there are rare here. Thanks for visiting!
Hello Carmen, I didn't quite catch the name of the rare plant you mentioned ( you waited and got it cheap) Many Thanks
That is the Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma. It's much more available now.
@@carmenwhitehead Thanks Carmen, I look forward to watching your videos, keep them coming xx
Hi Carmen, I’d love to own a “star fish” but have only seen them in a 2” pot @ my local nursery. (Want a bigger one). Lol.. I too have a Aglaonenia “Red Valentine.” Shortly after purchasing, it started to bud but the. The bud turned brown so I cut it off. I’d love to see what the bloom looks like. Also, mine is very slow growing! Is this normal? It sits in my dining room @ the patio door which has a SW View. With all the windows in my house, the lighting is poor. Oh, I almost killed my Elephant Bush. Bought % WalMart for $7.99 & it was very full...not sure what I did or didn’t do. I must get me a water meter.
Aglaonemas with a lot of color variegation love bright light. I have mine right up against my east-facing window and they get morning dappled sunlight and then bright light. They seem to do well there. The elephant bush is a succulent so you need to treat it as one. Don't over water. A water meter would be a great idea. Water when it's in the red zone. Thanks for watching!
Do you use a moisture meter for every plant you own? And are they pretty accurate? I have the arrowhead plant and I didn’t realize they trail, lol woke up one day and I had a lot of things falling over. Doyou stake up these pieces or just let trail? I’m not paying a lot of money for over priced, jmho...lol OMGosh Chewy scratches my floor when he’s in my plant/craftroom, lol
I do use my meter quite a bit, I just want to make sure I don't over water. I find that they are very accurate. That's great that your Arrowhead is trailing. You can stake it if you like and it will be happy, but it also makes a great trailing plant. I think it depends on your space and your likes. Thanks so much for watching!
Hi ms. Carmen do you fertilize your house plants?
Yes, during the growing season (Spring - Summer) I will use either a liquid concentrate once a month or worm castings.
Hello. I always was wondering about sanserviria. When they develope dried brown tops is that means plant stop growing up? Does is stomp their growth? I wanted to buy it, but I see those ends dried and not sure what does it mean for plant.
It can mean that the plant is not getting enough water, or that it's getting too much sun. It won't stop the plant from growing once it's given the right conditions. Thanks for watching!
@@carmenwhitehead thank you for reply. Now I can go ahead to buy me one eventually...have to wait till husband leave home to I can sneak plant in😀
By the way, I really like your youtube plant videos
My string of banana and string of dolphin bout dried up and died. Don't know what I did wrong.
I keep finding really special plants cheap in big box stores.
Yes, me too. I think they are getting better plants from better growers. The houseplant craze is everywhere.
@@carmenwhitehead the name of the cactus I was telling you about is Curiosity Plant 'Mini/ Cereus peruvianus. It is very different from what I've seen before.
@@joannebell7 Yes, I've heard of it. I actually have one. They are very cool looking.
@@carmenwhitehead Then you understand why I found it so special. $3.
The star fish sansevieria is so beautiful. Wow! I have one too. There is just one star but It keeps getting more arms! Mine is always indoors that probably why its not as full as yours or maybe cause I have it in a 4 in pot. Whatever!
It can take outdoor weather (except snow). Even on the couple of nights we have a frost warning here, I just cover it with a sheet and she's fine.
Team sansevieria! 🙏🏼😅
Yeah!
What is the name again of the last plant you showed?
It's the Portulacaria Afra variegated, also known as Elephant Bush. Because, elephants actually do eat this plant in South Africa. There is also a more popular green version.
Thanks For replying back I have to look for it.
😇🥰🌹
