With your prince id cut the bottom of a ziplock and use plant tape stuff it with moss around that stem to root and chop so you do have such a long stem i did this with mine an the new growth is amazing
The monstera will get brown tips from too much sun which does not appear to be the case, however too much water can cause discoloration also. Many think monstera needs to stay damp however that is not true. Of course if your water is really bad then it can cause issues. All my plants get tap water.
Carmen, loved the tour so much☺️🥰🪴🪴. Everything looks so pretty and works well together. The elephant wicker pots are just too cute. Anthuriums can be so fussy. For my recent birthday my husband bought me the milsbo cabinet because a lot of my anthuriums and hoya were looking worse for the wear. Some things need more humidity than regular household environment can provide. I’ve only put all the plants in today so time will tell. Georgie is too much🥰🥰. Your plants are so beautiful, thanks for sharing 🫶
Thanks so much for stopping by Elizabeth! I'm starting to move more of my tropical plants out to the patio because there's just more humidity out there. Which is so strange to me, coming from Arizona! 😂.
Great collection Carmen! I understand the water issue; I have a rain barrel, but with the excessive heat, I’ve run out. I have to catch tap water & leave it out for 24 hrs & ph test it or my plants suffer. Thanks for sharing!
It’s a plant chore day for me. 😊 Your Prince of Orange, like Bird of Paradise, likes to have friends in the same pot. I think they make each other stronger. I don’t separate them until they’ve outgrown the pot. Although Peace Lilies can grow in lower light, they do much better in brighter light; in a self watering pot. Mine just keep flowering and growing, which wasn’t always the case. Love your videos! ❤️
@@carmenwhitehead Of course, I get it. I have had to learn to be patient when separating the bigger plants. For some reason they are temperamental. I’m sure they’ll bounce back with time and you live in a warmer state. I live in Ohio and have a shorter window for my plants to recover. I just ordered a Pink Princess from Planterina, do you have any tips and tricks to help her thrive?
Hi Carmen, have you tried API stress coat in your tap water? It’s supposed to remove chlorine and chloramine from the water, all the chemicals that are bad for fish. It may help stop the problems with browning tips on your plants, other plants people recommend it and I’m currently trying it out myself!
Good morning Carmen..so good to see U...I luv ur plants. I'm trying to grow plants also. I'm into greenery only...I just wish I knew all the names of plants like U....but I'm trying 😅 thanks for Sharing ur plants. They all look so CUTE. U inspire me to keep going to make it work. Carmen, I just LOVE how the first thing I heard on this one was the pitter patter of little pupper feet! The room is lovely and your plants seem to be loving it!💚🪴🐶🐶🪴💚
Hello Carmen. I came to the comment section hoping someone would talk about the holes in your global green pothos. I was getting the same thing and I think it’s an insect. I sprayed mine and I think it’s gone, finally. Hope someone will chime in with their thoughts.
Hi carmen thanks for sharing your wonderful plant collection . As plant enthusiasts we all have challenges with some plants don't care what we do. I just got a curly sue and a pink princess so I will see how they respond to my care.❤
This turned out to be such a cozy lounge with all the plants. Love it! I just went back and watched your August 2017 Plant House tour! And your trusty assistant right by your side ❤️. Curious to know if you still have any of the plants featured in that video?
Not many because I lived in Phoenix then. When I moved to the Orlando area in 2022 I left much of my collection behind. I'm in the process of rebuilding now.

Hi Carmen, beautiful plant room! I also cannot use my tap water. I collect rain water when I can, some distilled and filtered water also, the things we do for our plants! Lol. I am thinking about the water conditioner. I also found this gorgeous aglaonema that idk what it is and I just love it from Costa at Lowe's, I look at it and ask it not to die, lol. If you find out what yours is pls do tell. I think mine is a Queen not sure bc I have never seen one like this. Thanks for showing us all your beautiful collection.

Have you ever tried stress coat for fish tanks in your water it takes all the chlorine out of the water. It might help I've been using it and I live in Arizona
I saw a video about it recently and I asked my daughter if she had some (because she use to keep a couple of tanks). Well, she did so I'm going to start adding it to my tap water now.

I was hoping to get another plant out of the separation, one for inside and one for outside. Let's hope this works!

My husband supports my plant passion/addiction while I support his tool passion/addiction. ( I can quit anytime) 😉
Same here!
Love your crawling shingle plant up that trellis! Mine never did well but yours kept its leaf size! Great job!
That one was actually a clearance plant from Walmart for $4! It's doing really well.

I haven't put one together this year. I think it would be too long since I'm rebuilding my collection! 😂.
Silver princess aglaonema? Maybe :) Princess "Silver Queen" 2nd time I have seen one! I need one for sure! Don't have a Lowes in my area :(
I haven't head of that one. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the propagating tip.
Plants looking pretty good love the staghorn fern and your little hanging ones. Have a blessed day Carmen.
Thank you! You too!
Hey Carmen!!
Love your white pricess shelf! So pretty!
Thank you!! 😊
Hi just wondering about letting your water tap sitting out for 24 hours?
You can use the aquarium drops that take the chemicals out of water...
Hey Carmen! Have you tried water conditioner? It takes out the chlorine and major chemicals harmful found in tap water.
That's my next step. I saw a video by an English Plant tuber and I think that will help.
lol Georgie!!!!!!
Made me dizzy watching
