I made this yesterday! It really ridiculously quick. I just changed the Broccoli for some sugarsnaps as they and the cavolo nero are ready to pick in my garden. As I had no Basil, I made some pesto with fresh oregano. Delicious! Thank you for sharing it! 😊

This sounds and looks amazing, lucky to all those who can try it out. I sadly live in a country where I can't get any fennel, brocolli (we only have it in the winter), or kale. But I will look for ingredients that will replace these, because that's what plant-based cooking is all about. Cook with whatever veggies you can find, use the right spices, and you create magic. I have been vegetarian since July 2013. Gaz inspired me finally to become vegan because he has showed that vegan food can be very interesting and delicious even without cream and cheese. Gaz, thank you so much for your recipes (although I can`t repeat exactly many of them because I live in Russia, it is hard to find some products here, for example, cale or royal oyster mushrooms). And of course your charm and the atmosphere of your kitchen cause incredible emotions.
It's great how you incorporate new vegetables I've never considered to use before and see how easy they can be used in many dishes. keep it up. I like your subscription references also.

wowwwww 🔥 this was the best pasta i’ve made since going veg. i want for nothing! swapped kale with dandelion leaves, shallots with leeks, white wine with vermouth, and the pesto recipe for one i made earlier this week. i learned so much from this recipe!

Wow, I just made this and it is amazing! I didn't have enough pine nuts so I subbed in some walnuts. Also I was out of white wine, so I used an extra bottle of Beaujolais Nouveau from last fall. My family loved it!!!
Made this recipe the other night and it was sooo good! I had to replace the pine nuts with pumpkin seeds because my husband is allergic to all nuts but it was stil delicious :)

Another way to save a bit of money for gardeners... snap off the flower stalks from bolted lacinato kale ( cavolo nero to y’all) and use in place of broccollini. Really good tossed in olive oil and black pepper and roasted, too.

kateliness2 just search for substitutions and then use your brain to do it yourself swapping out these ingredients.
