    I made the cashew version, but I put in smoked paprika instead of garlic. It was pretty good as a mild nacho sauce.

    I followed an authentic Italian recipe and used coconut cream instead of heavy cream and it was aaaaah mazing.
    I followed the recipe exactly with the only substitution is coconut cream for heavy cream and vegan Parmesan.

    It goes without saying that every recipe you make is delicious but what about just vegan butter and vegan parmesan? I also add a little bit of oat single cream to make it creamy. I mean that’s how we do the “alfredo sauce” or better “butter and parmesan pasta” as we call it in Italy. Still your recipe’s outstanding. Thank you for what you do for the vegan community .

    Thank you so much!!! My son was looking for a vegan dish then I searched and found you. I made this dish and he loved it. Initially I used the cashew method but after the dish cooled it looked dry. So, I decided to make a pot of the other so that he could add more sauce. Thank you for assisting me in getting " Cool Mom Points"

    Made the cashew alfredo tonight with some whole wheat linguine and broccoli and it was AWESOME! It was so easy to make too!
    The sauce started out a little thin straight out of the blender, but when I added it to the pot and heat it back up with the pasta and the broccoli, it thickened up very nicely! I'm thinking I'll use this for an Alfredo Pizza next! Thanks so much for sharing these!! =D

    Making this tonight! For anyone that would prefer milder garlic flavor, make some oil infused garlic & use those or bake some cloves in their skin until soft. It gives the garlic a milder flavor. 😊 lovin’ your recipes THee Burger Dude! Enjoy your videos👍 your voice is radio quality as an announcer.

    the dried garlic in garlic salt is processed differently than fresh garlic so it does have a different flavor in most quick easy things. It's like dehydrated onion vs. fresh onion, the dehydrated/ dry stuff tastes more... roasted/ concentrated?

    • @joeb4142
      @joeb4142 3 роки тому

      I’ve heard from folks who like to combine the fresh + granulated garlic that the fresh has a more pronounced sharp flavor whereas the dried is much more mellow. So I can see using both if you’re a discriminating cook.

    You probably could have added a slurry to thicken up the first cheese a little more. I've never made a vegan roux before. (or any roux, really) Every time I've added nutritional yeast to a milk it was absolutely foul. The only times it was good was when I followed Rip's recipe for chickpea cheese which didn't use any milk and Simnett's recipe for nacho cheese which also didn't use milk. I'll give it a try though and see what happens. Maybe adding a vegan cheese to go with it will improve the taste.
    Here are the recipes if you're interested:
