- Acne treatment takes time. Consistent use of benzoyl peroxide and adapalene are going to be the most helpful. You can also add in salicylic acid to reduce pore congestion. Moisturizers and sunscreens are essential for skin barrier protection. See a derm if not improving in 3 months

Jesus loves you so much more than you think repent and stay blessed ❤
6. Born with good genetics, blame everyone for neglecting facial routine
Who said that? You need patience for a good skin
I have horrible skin genetics and had really bad cystic acne for years as a teen. Once I stopped feeling sorry for myself and actually stuck to a strict routine, my acne went away for good. Now I can eat chocolate without fearing that I'll have a huge breakout because my skin was able to heal.
What is your routine and skin type if you don't mind ?@@MsCube3
This is some things I do that have helped me get skin without acne and glowing all day.
- Use a gentle face wash that removes extra oil and cleanses your skin well. I suggest littlleextra rriiceberry face wash only as it balances the skin pH as well.
- Eat a nutritious diet. Avoid oily, junk, and spicy foods. Choose vegetables, fruits, and foods rich in vitamins C, E, A, antioxidants, and minerals.
- Exercise aids clean impurities, so make sure to exercise regularly to cleanse your whole body.
- Avoid touching your face often coz our hands are often full of germs that can lead to pimples when they touch the face.
- Once or twice a week, use an oil or serum for a facial massage to improve circulation.
- Weekly, do a cleanup routine: cleanse, steam, scrub, use a mask, and rub 2-3 ice cubes.
- Washn your brushes and other things you use because they can harbor germs that can cause pimples when they come into contact with your skin.
I just love the riiceberry face wash; it really makes the skin smooth. Post using this, the skin doesn't feel dry. This has so quickly become my favourite facewash. I've been using this for about 25 days now. It is good for all skin types.
I was let down with the face wash from lottus as it didn't help with my acne. Trying rice berry face wash did the trick and cleared my acne.

I'm acne prone, and benzoyl peroxide destroyed my skin. And yes I stuck to it for a long while. Just isnt for me.
Tretinoin did the same to me
I’ve been through the same situation…my skin looks like it’s burnt out after one year of using BP but nothing else seems to control my acnee
I use benzoyl peroxide face wash 2.5% and it has been great. What did you use?
@@Josh-fp2qn 2.5 as well
It gave me scarring like heath ledger if you have cystic nodular acne stick with adaplene after purging you will have clear skin
No I do all the right things and I still have acne. Even using differin. I'm so tired of my skin...
Not oly u 😢
Treat acne from the inside out by improving your gut health. Do a candida cleanse. Eat fermented food and probiotic supplements. Eat less sugar and carbs that feed the bad bacteria in your stomach. Acne is a sign that your body is draining toxins produced in your gut by bacteria. Research leaky gut syndrome ;)
You probably have some kind of hormonal imbalance problem, best to talk to an obgyn doctor. Also look into your diet, some food triggers acne for some people, most common culprit are sugar, dairy products, etc
Have you tried giving your skin a break? I used to use bha in nearly everything like daily and even tho it didn't damage my skin visibly, my skin seems to be much calmer and with less active acne now that I focus more on hydration and barrier repair. I still use Retinol and azelaic acid and rarely bha, but much less than I used to.
Have u tried clyndamycin?
Thank u I’m currently 10 and the only person in my whole SCHOOL dealing with acne so sometimes I get called things like “pimple guts” and “ugly” it I mean it hurts I come home and stay in my room for hours either crying or just laying in bed doing nothing
It’s okay it’ll get better, I had bad acne at a young age I still have some now but not as bad as when I was a kid. I hope things get better for you at school (: don’t let it get to you the kids who bullied me are all now LOSERS lol

@@fknpires4665 id get a moisturizer that has sunscreen in it! Cerave has a great one 😋
Sorry to hear this is happening to you! Trust me when I say nothing looks as bad as their ugly personalities. But my biggest advice I could give you is to keep the routine simple and be consistent and go to a dermatologist. Using a routine as simple as cetaphil products or cerave depending on what you prefer. At your young age that’s best, and I’d see a dermatologist cause they could prescribe you acne medication 💕💕keep your head up!

It took a lot and trial and error but fatty alcohols seem to be what breaks me out. They are in most acne treatments and my concealer too so no wonder I wasn’t getting better. Went to layering Korean serums without fatty alcohols, illiyoon gel moisturizer and adding an rose hip oil on top. All cleared up now.
Fat alcohol (stearyl alcohol and such) can be really comodogenic so I also try to avoid them. It's so annoying how they put it in everything
Thank you I used 15 different types of treatments and I was wondering why neither of them doesn't work

Genital herpes 😭🤣 Typo is really a pin in the arse
Over treatment resulting in barrier damage is also a very common cause for acne flareup. I would recommend sticking to just one active in morning and one at night consistently for a month at least before expecting results.

Adapelene gel works or not?
Dr. What sunscreen do you use daily?
Being in the rare percentage of people who have an allergy to benzoyl peroxide 😂😂 like even 1% is enough to cause reactions.
I have found face washes with zinc oxide (like cetaphil acne pro)to be a decent substitute, especially since my skin is so sensitive.
I am also in the allergic to Benzoyl peroxide. It causes significant facial swelling in my teenage years and had to give it up. I stick with AHA and BHA’s as well as retinoids.
I cant find a good moisturizer for my oily acne prone skin. Everything is so thick it clogs my pores
We can use benzoyl peroxide and adapalene/tretinoin together?
It’s ok to use benzoyl peroxide with adapalene? It won’t dry out your face?
as long as you use a moisturizer you should be fine unless you have really dry skin
Since you're using adapalene at night, you can use benzoyl peroxide during the day to treat existing breakouts. But it is better not to use it together, to be on the safe side.
what sunscreen do you use ms. jennyliu?
I didn't know the inkey list has a benzoyl peroxide cleanser! I've never seen it in their side or in the shops. I should check that out some time. Maybe it works better than bha for me
I literally just checked the side and it doesn't show that cleanser to me. Is it only available in other countries? I'm so confused. I'm from Germany. I think it's cause the concentration is too high. I remember talking with a pharmacist and he said until a specific concentration it's for the free market. Maybe it can't be sold in Germany cause of that.
What if you're allergic to benzoyl peroxide...
I just ordered drying lotion from barenbliss, i hope this will work coz benzoyl kinda burns my skin and the nest day creates more acne for me. :(
Can you use benzoyl peroxide wash and tretinoin in the same routine for nights?
Another dermatologist said no benzoyl peroxide
Hey. What if we use benzoyl peroxide soap is it effective
benzyl peroxide doesnt work on all skin types. It has been my saving grace since I was a teenager and is still to this day (I am in my 30s). I had oily/combo skin when i was young and now it is combo/dry. If you have very dry skin, salicylic might work better for you. It didn't work for me. Benzoyl peroxide targets acne-causing bacteria and works best on red, inflamed acne and whiteheads. Salicylic acid exfoliates to help shed dead cells that clog pores and is helpful for rough, bumpy breakouts with minimal redness.
i do all of these and still have bad acne wtf

Hello!! Question: Am I able to still double clense e.g using Micellar Water and a face wash; even if I do not wear makeup (I am also acne prone)? I'm worried of over doing my skin!!
I have a retinol in my routine (started using it about a month ago, skin is still in the purging phase) but I know retinols and benzoyl peroxide are not meant to be together in a skincare routine? Do I take the retinol out of my routine or..?
You alternate them.
@@babypearl ok thanks !
Hello! I was wondering, can I use salicylic acid as my cleanser while also using a benzoyl peroxide cream? Thank you so much for those who'd answer :>
I wouldnt recommend to use a cleanser with active ingredients while using a Benzoyl peroxide cream. The Benzoyl is already drying your skin out and cleansers with actives are usually very drying and strip your skins moisture away. Try to use a gentle or a hydrating cleanser and dont forget to moisturize while using Benzoyl.
I need a budget moisturizer as I go back to using adapalene! If anyone has recos esp with ceramides, pls lmk

In many Europa countries you cannot buy benzoyl peroxide

@@Josh-fp2qn I’ve been doing this routine for almost a year or so and I also use AHAs three times a week.
I tried it all and though roaccutane worked, and clear skin went on a year after stopping treatment - it did rebound and come back. It toom a fairly young dermatologist to say that he thought it was a hybrid of rosacea and acne - I thought he was joking and laughed it off. He prescribed me zineryt topical and ivermectin. I really reccomend the Illiyoon ceramide ato cream. I have combo skin but it still works well. Very calming, repairs the skin barrier, and healed my angry irritated skin overnight. The Krave Beauty great berrier relief and the Aestura cream also works well.
I'm benzoyl peroxide for like 20 days and its like a continuous process my acne gets better and i have another one then that one get little better than i have another one i think now its time to stop using it it's not working for me i think
I want to ask if I am doing the right thing. I use the Galderma Epiduo gel (Adapalene+Benzoyl peroxide) to my acne spots only. Should I apply to my whole face or not?
Benzoyl peroxide - acne spots
Adapalene - whole face
Adapalene is a retinoid, not only for acne but also for anti aging ang overall texture of the face
@@TEAandWINE Benzoyl peroxide is actually supposed to dry your skin out, but I really can't remember if it made my skin oily as well. It's best to use moisturizer after the benzoyl peroxide is fully absorbed by your skin, more like 15-30 mins after, but I don't think it should do you any harm if you used it 1 hour after. But if you are still having problems with it, please check a dermatologist near you!! My experience with benzoyl peroxide before was not great also. My face were on fire. It burns and stings the moment you apply it. But after a month of continues use, my face got used to it and it's not burning anymore. If benzoyl peroxide is still making negative effects on your skin besides burning and you don't want to go to derma, maybe switch with adapalene or tretinoin. These two are more effective acne fighting ingredients and are actually more tolerable.

Can benzoyl peroxide be used long term daily? I was told by an esthetician that it shouldn't be used long term and i should switch to something else.
you can, but the longer you use the less effective it is. So I would take a break after a few months. And maybe switch to retinol to actively prevent new acne

If you are using benzoyl peroxide gel spot treatment, you should wait for it to dry and absorb into your skin before moisturizing, which normally takes around 10 -15 minutes.
@@temha77iam using cream texture so can I use moisturiser on top of benzoyl peroxide cream ? Or do I have to wash it off?
@@TibeTang_choe Hi, you should read the products instructions first. It is recommended to apply moisturiser after applying benzoyl peroxide products to counteract dryness and Irritation. Allow the cream to fully absorb into your skin before moisturising. It is crucial to maintain your skin barrier as BP can disrupt the skin barrier, well-moisturized skin is healthier and can better tolerate acne treatments. If BP causes excessive dryness or irritation, you might be tempted to use it less frequently, which can reduce its effectiveness. Moisturising can improve tolerance to BP so you can use it more frequently/as instructed.
