Thank you for putting you HUMOR & SKILLS out for all to enjoy. These days BOTH are greatly needed! Sometimes I believe the humor may be more needed, so know if you ever have to choose between the two push out HUMOR first as we hobby woodworkers are a dime a dozen....... You can go back after the crisis and post any woodworks video you have saved in your head!
Haha thanks so much! I know I haven't posted a video in a while but I have a 4 or 5 part series coming next month where I try to build a massive slab table in my garage. It should be a fun one with almost an hour of commentary!
this video was a goldmine. I am going to use this video as a tutorial to make a custom keychain to propose to my boyfriend with! Ill be sure to share the final result :D
I like the humorous narrative style. I make wooden keychains with eyelets too but worry they’ll get pulled out later. Have you had any issues or feedback on that?
You, Good Sir, earned my subscription, thou haveth! Content 8/10 Inspiration 7/10 Narrating 10/10 Stumbled upon this video while browsing for woodworking stuff, pure win! Looking forward to watching more of your videos. Ps: I consume a lot of UA-cam every day, very rarely write comments.
Thank you so much for this comment good sir!! I know my narration and general video content is rather odd and different, and it's great to see that people are enjoying it. Thanks so much!!
I think that's something that comes naturally to woodworkers. I always just save things because "I might use them sometime" and the pile just gets bigger, and bigger, and bigger.
I think I enjoyed this video as much as you had making it. The finished products looked lovely. I loved all the added philosophy. You got something good here. Keep it up.
Crazy how that works right? I even bought some fancy hardware to make a cool pen for myself. That was almost a year ago, still haven't gotten around to making it. 😂
Thank you!! First and foremost for taking the time to watch my videos, and secondly for commenting with some much needed encouragement. Have a great day sir!
Lol, you're funny. I enjoyed your presentation and watching you work. I only own a Ryobi jigsaw and sander. Maybe you'll do something later for the beginner
Thank you for your sincerity and your worry, as well as your encouragement about the end result. I have watched several videos on table saw safety, and have become far too comfortable with the tool due to the amount of time that i use it. as for the router, I shall certainly heed your warning, as I am convinced that that machine is out to get me. as always, thanks for commenting, as well as expressing concern for my reckless lifestyle. I will heed your warnings.
Probably not with the level of precision that the scroll saw delivers. You could maybe do some of the simpler shapes, but I am not entirely sure. I have never tried something like this on a jigsaw so I am not entirely sure.
no particularly better or worse woods so long as they are hardwoods. I've never had a problem with them splitting apart or even getting wet for that matter. I tend to stick to dry land, but if it ever becomes an issue you'll be the first to know.
I used one of these here www.amazon.com/Various-Diamond-Mounted-Grinding-Carving/dp/B096XVTZDQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_16?crid=M3ZDS1BIPJR4&keywords=spike+dremel+bit&qid=1690647046&sprefix=spike+dremel+bit%2Caps%2C208&sr=8-16
Honestly I liked your video, the keychains are cool, the quotes were funny, but you really need to be more careful ... resawing hardwood on table saw that doesn't have a riving knife/splitter is already pretty tricky but not using a push stick/block ... Your fingers were literally an inch from the balde, it really looks like you do want to decrease the number of fingers on your hands.
Thanks for the comment! I absolutely agree with everything you said, except that I don't want to decrease the number of fingers on my hand, as that would make holding hands a bit of a challenge. And I do very much enjoy holding hands. I do have a riving knife in my saw, the problem is that it is wider than the balde, (like my legs) so it is actually quite hazardous. Respect to you!
Ineficiency is mine own middle nameth. I can relateth to this. The court gleek'r hast spoken. Thee has't anoth'r subscrib'r. Grant you mercy f'r the valorous w'rk. I have accrued about 25 of the same screw driver and pencils. But damnit if i can find a pencil anywhere!!!
Can't say I fully grasped everything stated in this comment, but I'm liking your energy!! Hopefully the court gleek'r continues to speak!! Thanks for subscribing and leaving a comment!!

Hey... My my... Your workshop and it's machines... They're awesome... Golden memories of back when I used to do the same stuff

I can't believe it. A woodworking video made me laugh! The "SLOW DOWN, SLOW DOWN" part legit cracked me up. Please keep making content!

I am chuckling listening to your commentary 🙂
Epic!!!!
Great job. I too am a ‘never waste’ woodworker.

Thanks and thanks! Glad you enjoyed!
I really like this guy!😁
Thanks! 😁
Nice work.
I too am a fan of the scroll saw. Always find a reason to use it.
I'm the same way with the pens. Made hundreds, don't have a single one.
Crazy how that works right? I even bought some fancy hardware to make a cool pen for myself. That was almost a year ago, still haven't gotten around to making it. 😂
First time ever coming across your vids...first and foremost awesome Keychains and secondly...this gave me a much needed laugh...I was lol'ng

This was a wonderful video. Such clever dialogue or I guess monologue since you were the only one speaking.
Thanks!!

Thank you

That was funny!
I'm glad I could brighten your day with a little humor!
Awesome. Which feed n wax did you use? Love the result but there’s many types.
I believe it is the feed and wax from Howard. Thanks for watching!
Really nice end result. However, I sincerely worry about your safety. Please watch some youtube videos about router safety and table saw safety.

Nice smart project. Do you think this could be done with a jigsaw for those us starting ouy that don't have a scroll saw? 🏴👍
Probably not with the level of precision that the scroll saw delivers. You could maybe do some of the simpler shapes, but I am not entirely sure. I have never tried something like this on a jigsaw so I am not entirely sure.
@@WoodenLegWoodworking that's fine thanks for the Feed back I'll give it shot and report findings back to u. 🏴👍
Really enjoyed your humor. Looking for woodcrafts to sell. How much can these sell for? Thanks, Ed.
I sell them easily enough for $5. You could likely push $10, but I have found that priced at $5 people buy without hesitation
is there certain types of wood that is better for this type of project how do you keep them from splitting or breaking apart if they get wet
no particularly better or worse woods so long as they are hardwoods. I've never had a problem with them splitting apart or even getting wet for that matter. I tend to stick to dry land, but if it ever becomes an issue you'll be the first to know.
Watching you rout the edges had me wondering if you would have mangled fingers.
That's why I stopped lol. i realized it wasn't worth risking a couple fingers for a rounded edge. 😬
What type of Dremel diamond did you use
I used one of these here www.amazon.com/Various-Diamond-Mounted-Grinding-Carving/dp/B096XVTZDQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_16?crid=M3ZDS1BIPJR4&keywords=spike+dremel+bit&qid=1690647046&sprefix=spike+dremel+bit%2Caps%2C208&sr=8-16

Wooohoooo!!! I like your energy! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Please if you have a keychain schnauzer I will buy it!! Let me know 🙏!! I love it !!
Thanks for the positive energy! Unfortunately I don't have any schnauzer keychains. Sorry!
Try using a threaded rod as a glue spreader.
That's a great idea. Not sure why I hadn't thought of that myself! Thanks for the suggestion!!
Do you haver a fingers medical plan?
Nice work.
Can l ask what is tge model of the dewalt scroll saw?
You can
It is the DeWalt dw788 20 inch variable speed scroll saw
Hello, nice video. how thick are the keychain??
Hi! Thanks! They are approximately 3/8 inches thick
Wow! You really don’t have a wooden leg, do you?
Unfortunately no. I have a leg of flesh.
Las armellas que usó ¿De que tamaño son?
they were very small. I don't remember the exact sizing but I believe they came with the rest of the keychain hardware.
