Part of succeeding will almost always be an unwillingness to back down in the face of adversity. Needless to say, such a trait doesn't necessarily translate well into one's personal life.
It's a sad life. He will go straight into the pits when he is judged by God.
He didn't build a successful business. His father did. Actually, Jasmine had more money than Ryan did. Part of the reason they had problems was because she was justifiably angry that a man who claimed to be a millionaire was actually broke.

Jenkins removed the teeth and fingernails so that she wouldn't be identified. But he didn't think of the breast implant. So that was the only way she could be identified. When she was identified, he was screwed.

Edit: can I also say, this is one of the cases that got me into true crime years ago. I was obsessed because it was so mind boggling that they used the serial number of the implant.

I was so obsessed with VH1 at the time. I even wanted Ryan to win MWAM. I'm still disappointed I supported someone who destroyed everything on tv I ever loved. I hope he rots in hell. All he did was ruin everything he touched. I think 51 minds got too much flack, yes they fumbled with the background check but these shows were many peoples bread and butter. They clearly thought all their bases were covered by the background checking service, because many were left without a job and lots of fans were left feeling empty. You're right, it happened so quick. It's horrible this woman lost her life but that's not the only thing that happened. This poor girls end is intertwined with television forever. RIP Jasmine
Agreed. A tragic end for Jasmine, and the trauma for the people involved, the people who worked on the show, and hard work people put it, and the audience who invested in watching. Sad all around.

Ryan didnt have shit. He lived off of Jasmine's successes during the short time they were together, the money she worked for, & his own family, wealthy Canadian business people.
She really loved that animal…..how unfortunate,,sad,, not a very uncommon story….even more tragic….
Lacey Sculls from VH1 remained friends with him up until the murder came to light and she gave out more details about their relationship that he had shared with her. Jasmine probably didn’t love him but she thought she had found financial security with him when they met. Lacey shared that RJ would say he was going to take care of her financially and she was going to get him US residency through their marriage (but he really was obsessed with her). She said he was desperate to win ILM3 for her because he had run into financial troubles and she had become angry with him for not holding unto his part of the bargain and was afraid she’d leave him. Lacey said RJ was sure the prize money from ILM3 would fix their relationship. He was a sick, crazy dude and I can’t believe nobody caught unto it sooner.
He freakin ruined my guilty pleasure.🤬
