The use age of 比 is actually not difficult, just keep these three structures in mind:
A 比 B adj.
A 比 B adj. + 得多/多了/一点儿

I am learning Japanese since 2 Years, by now.
I do want to learn chinese to, so that is why I watched this video. Since the phonetics of chinese are radically different from the ones in Japanese, I still have to grasp a real Idea on the sounds. This is one of my first videos.
But I feel like, the stuff I learned in my Japanese Studies are helping me here a lot.
Not only the characters, but also the pronounciation. Many words were lend from the chinese language from the japanese, so it is obvious. But I was not necessairly aware.

书比本子大。 Shū bǐ běnzi dà. The book is bigger than the notebook.
我的妹妹比我矮。 Wǒ de mèimei bǐ wǒ ǎi. My sister is shorter than me.
书比本子大多了。 Shū bǐ běnzi dàduōle. The book is bigger than the notebook.
书比本子大得多。 Shū bǐ běnzi dà dé duō. The book is bigger than the notebook.
书比本子大一点儿。 Shū bǐ běnzi dà yīdiǎn er. This book is a little bigger than that book.
我比我妹妹高得多。 Wǒ bǐ wǒ mèimei gāo dé duō. I am much taller than my sister.
我比我妹妹高多了。 Wǒ bǐ wǒ mèimei gāo duōle. I am much taller than my sister.
我比我妹妹高一点儿。 Wǒ bǐ wǒ mèimei gāo yīdiǎn er. I am a little taller than my sister.
我比我妹妹高三厘米。 Wǒ bǐ wǒ mèimei gāosān límǐ. I am three centimeters taller than my sister.
今天比昨天热十度。 Jīntiān bǐ zuótiān rè shí dù. Today is ten degrees hotter than yesterday.

她说中文说得比我好。
She speaks Chinese better than I do.

Would be really helpfull to tell what Bi means
the video focuses on how to use it, not an explanation which is really annoying. there are a few on youtube that really help though.
Thank god for this comment, I thought I was missing something, I just watched the whole video, and as a beginner in Chinese, I still have no idea what 比 means. I can guess by the sentences that it’s something to do with comparisons, but I don’t have any idea what.

Are you seriously giving a Chinese lesson to beginning students without the English translation? We are suppose to know what "bi" means before the lesson? I put a thumbs down for this reason.
it's all in the description of the video - "bi" is a particle used to make comparisons.
