Hey mate, thanks for the video. How do you tighten the oil pump sprocket bolt at the end though? Honda says to torque it at 33ft/pds. How do you torque it without everything turning? Is there a way to block the pump somehow? It seems to put quite a bit of force onto the oil chain tensioner when I try. Thanks mate
Great video.👍🏻 Did you have to remove all 4 engine mounts and move the engine over just a little bit to get the bolts off of the timing cover? I got to do the same job myself tsun. Oil leak. 😫
Yes you will need to unbolt subframe buddy and front and back mount or un do all the mounts and lift it up a bit the pan will touch on pass side also un hook your rad hoses from thermostat as it is plastic

The big chain the two black links go to tdc on camshafts with the single black on bottom then small chain same thing just make sure your pump arrows are up also
Hey guys great job with the video. Best video on this by far. I have a 2011 CR-V and boy it's a bitch to remove the oil pan in order to get to the oil pump tensioner. Any ideas on how to do this like u did with engine still in the car. I have all the tools and parts just can't get the pan off. All bolt are out it's loose I don't get it 🤔. Thanks guys.
Thanks and I would disconnect the lower rad hose and then take Driver side engine mount off so you can lift the engine up with a engine crane the stock k24 is huge and bulky good luck 👍
ehh ehhh hey beavis and butthead, we dont care about the extra useless crap in your video, just do the video, your not gonna be youtube famous SMFH so glad you ACTUALLY showed how to remove these parts
Glad you have this video up man. Thanks a bunch!

Hey man, I'm doing a timing chain on a 2006 CRV 207K miles and debating on switching swapping the oil pump to the S type. Thoughts?

Great video. Just subscribed 👌
for timing the oil pump the two dark links are on the pump(with pump aligned to the dot on the pump housing) and single link on the crank?

What is torque spec for oil pump 2 front and 2 back face at crankshaft bolt
9ftlbs 10mm bolts
Chinese manufactured parts, good luck on the reliability.
Please I really want to know. Does a wrong oil pump timing affect oil pressure delivery?
Yes the pump is designed to be tdc has two marks on it
Best bet is to upgrade to type s pump
Did you have any engine shaking before fix the chains?
