we need more tutos like this, you showing how to do the renders !!!! AWESOME CHANNEL !!!! THANK U FOR SHARING ALL YOUR KNOWLEDGE !!! BIG LOVE FROM MEXICO!!!!!!!! :D
Your idea of short and very useful is great but if you want you can make other tutorials explaining so much more for those like us that don't know too much.
Cheers Juan, I think the best way is to carry on with quick to the point tutes on UA-cam across all areas of CG and full in depth courses every now and then for those who want to go deeper. If you didn't already know about it we now have a Facebook Group if you'd like to get involved facebook.com/groups/CGShortcuts. Thanks for watching!
Cheers UFD! Glad you found it useful! We've got loads of extra resources on www.cgshortcuts.com and if you'd like to get involved you can join our CG Shortcuts Facebook Group facebook.com/groups/CGShortcuts where you can find more tutorials, get help, post your work and enter our monthly art challenges where you can win cool CG Prizes;) Thank's for watching!

Thanks a billion, time, I tried your tutorials (I assume they're the best in youtube so far) made a diamond and chemical molecules using this tutorial (tried to include Water Spheres and black Spheres) but since I have to use the black color and I don't know how to create water effect they didn't turn out anything near good, Also I tried to make different shape of diamond (more close to it's 2D logos) It wasn't anything near good, IDK what to do, But anyway your videos are so good thank you again for the nice work, If you explain I'll be more thank grateful.

I followed your first tutorial and everything worked out perfect, but then when I made a second sphere and made it a child of the cloner (with a different texture) it only shows the texture of whichever sphere is in the highest position. I'm not sure why? (when I downloaded your work files it doesn't have that problem for some reason).
Hey, you will have to add the textures before baking the dynamics tag. If you've done the first tutorial you will have to delete the cached dynamics tag then add a new dynamics tag with same settings as in the first tutorial (minus the baking) and then add however many spheres under the cloner. Should work after this :)
No worries Mecca! If you make something cool feel free to post it up on our Facebook Group! Our New Monthly Challenge is on now and we've got some awesome prizes to give away too!

You can get a demo here mate, it's actually pretty affordable on subscription home.otoy.com/render/octane-render/demo/ I don't usually show all the lighting and texturing with Octane because most people wont use it, but still a load of people asked so there it is;)

The lighting I didn’t mind myself but the texturing. I had no idea how to get multiple materials on an emitter just to see that he duplicated them in the cloned 😑 I’m going home

@@CGShortcuts I'll be there soon .thank you for your kindness ~
hmm, that kind of left me hanging since I dont have octane.
It's definitely worth getting;)

I’m going home
Yep just have multiple spheres under the clone and texture each one differently;)
When I hit up the octane renderer render button, mine is not as yours. I've got matte beige monochrome bg with the same at the spheres.
What version of Octane are you using?
@@CGShortcuts the last. Later I found that the some of the octane versions doesnt compatible with some other versions of c4d. :)
How to Download octane render
COMIC SKetches Octane is a third party plugin which you have to pay for I believe
You can get a demo here mate, it's actually pretty affordable on subscription home.otoy.com/render/octane-render/demo/ I don't usually show all the lighting and texturing with Octane because most people wont use it, but still a load of people asked so there it is;)
Can you send the material link again? The above fails
The materials arent included but you can get this exact setup with the octane shaders on our Patreon page if you need them;)
we don't have octane !
how we can do it with physical render !
Hey mate, exactly the same principles. Physical renderer can do anything octane can do (maybe a bit slower though;)
@@CGShortcuts you can help us to make it with physical !
we need more tuts about material !

how did you duplicate the objects in the cloner?
Hi Romy, just make all the objects you want children of the cloner and you can have as many as you want;)
Sadly, my computer does not support octane. :-(
