I've thought about how to do it too when i saw the film, i found this on youtube: ua-cam.com/video/P7aD_WhOLBI/v-deo.html (Gemino charm / Doubling charm) But he doesn't seem to share how exactly he pulled it off. Bye! .. thanks for the tut. I tried to create a mask in the center of the cloner so that the holes are only at the edges of the plane, without success. it is possible with your "boolean technique" (one connection on cloner and rectangle). I don't know maybe with some field and vertex weight sorry for my english I hope it's understandable.

Hello Dave, is it possible to change the shader colour in the balls when they hide and come up with other colour when they are visible? thanks for your tutorials.
@@CGShortcuts Hi Dave, thanks for the quick reply, I mean when the ball comes up for the first time in green the second bounce red and then the third time back to green? is that possible?
It might be pretty complicated to do mate as all the balls are moving randomly. I'd set it up differently if that was the plan. Make one ball animate how you want it with changing materials, then clone that and offset the time on each clone.
I got to the shader step and when i changed the values to 2 and 5 respectively, no animation happened! no movement. I can't figure out why this is happening... any suggestions?
Sometimes older tutorials dont work so well in newer versions of C4D due to changes in the software (usually a single step needs changing slightly) best way to check is to download the project file from the link - if that works in your version of C4D you should be able to see where you went wrong, if not you may need to tweak a step or you can try in an older version of C4D.
Should work with any objects really, would love to see what you come up with mate! Hi mate, I had a feeling people might like to know that so I made a whole course about it that you can check out for free on Skillshare with this link skl.sh/2Vy16VI Hope that helps, and thanks for watching!
Hello, your videos are great. It would be very good if you can improve the visualization of the work environment, because like me there are many followers who do not understand English and we are guided in a visual way to apply parameters, Thank you very much.

Qhy you are not showing completely from start to rendering and materials section to.. make tut on how you render the same you shown in start . This always very unfair to show the rendering and materials part which very important
Sorry mate, I make these in my spare time so I just dont have the time to go through all of that every tutorial as often the lighting and rendering setup is the same from tutorial to tutorial.
