Started thus video early in the week and been busy with work, picked it up right before Jordan's buck came into play. What an experience that had to be for the Winke family!!
@@bill-winke If there was voting for best UA-cam hunting series I am stating the obvious when I say what you've put together would be taken home the gold. Funny how you started something great with MW and are now running it back with a different flavor!
We knew it was only a matter of time! Congratulations Jordan!! Your growth as a hunter this season was simply a joy to watch, as was your comfort level in front of the camera. Bill is one proud papa you can tell. Another Winke hooked on Whitetails, best of luck in late season. Let’s hope it’s cold and snowy here in Iowa.
I appreciate the support, but be careful what you wish for. Wind Chill forecast for this week where I hunt: : Wed: 0, Thurs: -13, Fri: -29 Yes, I am going to be out there, in a blind, thank goodness. Just going to and from on Friday will require all my willpower! I am not sure how will relate to those temperatures. My guess is that they will be shut down by Friday (hunkered and waiting it out). Good luck and Merry Christmas.
Congrats Jordan! Finally got around to watching this video and I'm glad you finally pulled it off! Patience and persistence has paid off for ya'll! One of many to come!
Well done Jordon. You were very patient and it paid off. I love the series and what you and Dad are doing. Can’t wait to see the second season. I will be hunting vicariously through your videos as I just yesterday had shoulder repair surgery. But I will be ready for Spring turkey hunting.
I have got to say I always look forward to seeing your content I like all the info you provide and congrats on the first buck to Jordan heck yea awesome job
Congrats Jordan. Great video. My daughter is in her first year of college and rush’s home every weekend to hunt. Everybody ask me how I got her into it? I said she has always tagged along with me since she has been young. Enjoy seeing the videos of you guys hunting together
Thanks. I appreciate it. Our kids got their start by accompanying me on blood trailing and recoveries. That is a huge adventure for a young person and they are instantly hooked on the entire process. Plus, they get over the squeamish part really quickly watching you field dress the deer and then showing them what each part does.
We were kicking ourselves sometimes, but it just made sense that it would eventually produce. No doubt we overhunted it a little bit, but in the end it worked out. Have a great day.
Thanks for the support Tony. I really appreciate it. We may have struggled but we had fun the whole way. Hunting with Jordan definitely made it more fun for me.
Thanks Bill...I've been a student of yours for almost 30 years. Now I'm teaching my wife and kids...I continue to learn from you. Thanks again...and congratulations Jordan!
Congratulations on staying with it Jordan. The payoff was watching you and your dad recovering your first buck. Something that will always be remembered. The early video of Ethan was priceless.
Brian, we definitely appreciate it. It took a while (I think it was close to 30 sits) but she finally got the chance and made the most of it. She/we learned a lot along the way. The memories are awesome. Good luck and thanks for the support.
We will kick it around. I am trying to do less work instead of more! I think people like podcasts though so I probably need to be doing one. Thanks for the advice. Have a great day.
Congrats to Jordan, what a great first archery buck! What a joy it is to watch you both go through this whole process, from total novice to her first two harvests! Well done!
Thanks Keith. She was a fast learner and a good student. She has an eye for shooting a bow. If she gets hooked on it, she can become a really good shot.
@Bill Winke It sure looks that way, and having an expert (and patient) teacher helps a ton too! If she can get her draw weight up, she shouldn't have any issues getting a pass-through. I shoot the same bow because of my short draw length and at 55 lb draw weight, I almost had a pass through, but with my high shot angle I just knicked the shoulder blade and slowed the arrow. The broadhead stopped just short of breaking skin at the exit wound, so I'm sure it would have gone through cleanly if I hadn't touched the scapula. Can't wait to watch her progress as an archer and to see what the new farm has to offer you both!
Congratulations to Jordan great perseverance ! Bowhunting at its best is hard! We love this video series my wife has even gotten in and excited to watch. It has been wonderful to watch the bowhunting legacy passed on and just amazing to watch the ever stoic Bill Winke smile and smile and smile while getting to be a part of this with his daughter! Also loved the added feature of Drew at the end! Again Thanks for sharing Congratulations to you all!
Thanks. Yes, guiding your kids to their success is definitely a lot different from doing it yourself. I gave up a lot of stand time for Jordan this year, but I would never have it any other way. Next year, she will hunt by herself (her own cameraman) a lot more, but I will still want to be there some of the time to share the experiences and the memories. Memories are why we do this stuff. Thanks for the support. Have a great day.
Awesome Awesome First is really cool, good shot placement. Her draw length looks short, maybe it’s the blind. Look like the back elbow should come around more. Congratulations
Thanks much Robert. Her draw length is too short. I messed up when ordering her bow and got the wrong draw length. We maxed out on modules on that one so we had a choice to make. It was too late to send it back for a different one, so we made do. She doesn't like shooting bent arm, so she comes up short on the draw and anchor. She did learn to shoot very well that way out to 20 yards. We will get it straightened out before next season! In fact, we are going to the Hoyt plant very soon and maybe we can just get them to swap out the limbs, cams and strings while we are there. Have a great day.
Congrats Jordan! Making memories that will last a lifetime with your dad. I remember, like today lol, my daughters first buck at age 12 with me 10 years ago. I really enjoy ya'lls channel.
Awesome! Congratulations Jordan!
Congrats Jordan! Definitely makes your heart full of joy when your kids follow in what you love to do!
Great to see family making memories, thanks for sharing.

Hello Bill! It is great to see you back on camera.......I love the new farm!!! Congratulations!!
Thanks Brian. It is a very pretty farm. It will keep getting better, but is already a lot of fun to hunt even though it is not loaded with deer.
Great family memories!

Out of all the deer kills I have watched on UA-cam - this is by far the best one with the greatest story.
