I really love watching you with your daughter. I’ve always hunted with my Dad for over forty years, unfortunately this year we have my Daddy on hospice care. So it’s been a very sad season for me. But we were able to put his bed In his family room with all his favorite game hanging on his walls along with being in front of his picture window facing his woods with the beautiful autumn trees. He’s able to at least watch the deer and wildlife. He’s not only my Dad but my best friend.
Great to see you making a series again, but also great to see you teaching Jordan also. As hunters, we should all pass on our knowledge to the next generation whenever possible. I really enjoy sitting with my daughters when they hunt and see them be successful and realize how much I have taught them over the years. Very rewarding.
Moments they’ll cherish forever I’m sure. I’d give up just about everything to take a few more trips with mine. I know it’s always scary going on camera, but please thank your daughter for not shying away. These videos are soothing to people dealing with loss and trauma. I guess in a way like “at least there’s still people doing it right out there.” Keep it up guys.
It's amazing how much we take for granted as hunters, and especially bowhunters. Taking my 6 kids out is a reminder that there are tons of little things we just do without thinking about it. Why we hang stands facing certain directions, why we access and leave stands using certain routes, why we call to this deer in this situation but not that deer. Things our own dads or hunting mentors taught us that have become second-nature. It's cool to see your interactions with your daughter in the stand, Bill. I look forward to seeing her 10-ringing her first archery deer soon.
The quality time spent together with this series is so admirable words can not express. Outstanding format, the novice tip (s) is so desperately needed for the new to our sport. Thank You both !
I've had them react to my stopping grunt like that twice. Both were on the same day within 45 minutes of each other. It was super windy and it had them very on edge. My release is always either strapped to my wrist or my bow. Makes it impossible to forget your release, great advice.
Happy to see Bill in the woods with a camera again. I was going through withdrawal from real guys filming real hunting! Love the concept you’re doing, my only comment is to let Jordan do more of the talking.
If we are open to learning then it will not matter how experienced we are, the small tips can be reminders... God bless you guys for hunting together and want to give a shout out to you'all seeming so humble and homie!
I have been watching you since I was in my early 20s. So happy to see you producing content and being out with your daughter! Always been a big fan. Your narrations feel like prime hunting
Winke’s are quality people. This whole video makes me happy for them. I am excited for what is in store throughout the season…for hunters and viewers alike.
My wife is a new hunter. She has gotten a doe three yrs. In a row now with a X bow. She's a very good shot. I'm trying to teach her about deer about rubs And scrapes and difference between oak trees. My number one advice is be patient and let them make mistakes. Let them learn. U can't scold them when they miss. She missed one earlier on but realized she aimed with the wrong cross hair. Went back out and shot a doe right in the money.
Good tip to secure your release to your bow! One tip id leave is to secure it on top limbs and or another area than lower limbs, reason I mention that is one time I drew back checking something on my string and my release slid down, then since no one was around I had to let down and it rolled the string off the cam. I love watching your videos.
Yes, very good tip. I have seen that happen too. Not good. Very good input. I have suggested that she attach it to the support bar behind the grip on those Hoyt bows. Hard to get into trouble there. Thanks.
Bill, love what your doing with your daughter. As a father of a young woman I greatly appreciate it. Glad to see you back on a channel for hunters to see and learn from you. Please keep sharing your shop/living area building. Would love to upgrade my old pull-barn.
Enjoying the shows greatly !! Have been a follower since you started back in the 90’s , about 30 yrs I’m guessing !! Keep em coming !! Thanks for the effort you put in your videos, very glad you decided to start back filming shows !!!
Bill and Jordan, you're coming into your own and becoming very comfortable and likable on camera. Great, authentic topics and relatability to the real world working person. Keep it up, congrats. Chris
Jordan’s advice from one beginner to another 🤔 Jordan I’ve forgotten my bow before and I’m a detailed person and been hunting for years and years 😆 that stuff certainly happens. Great episode and can’t wait till you guys get to share the moment 🏹🦌with each other. 🏹🦌🇺🇸
Great episode! Its exciting to see that you and jordan are going to get an opportunity, its only a matter of time! Thank you both for letting us watch along the way I really enjoy it.
Wish my son would meet a young lady like Jordan. In a world full of out of touch with reality young people it is refreshing to see a young lady with a personality like that. Good job Bill. Also, can’t wait to see what gets taken off the property this year.
Really enjoy seeing Jordan back in the deer woods. Enjoy the time spent in the tree together - they will be some awesome memories. I'm 29 and look back on all the great hunts I shared with my Dad in the stand. Good luck! Any chance that the buck that spooked smelled the practice arrows that were shot at the exact same time you grunted to cause that extreme reaction?
Great videos. As always. I love seeing everything being built from start to finish and the process of the learning and how to buy land. Just everything is perfect
Good stuff as usual guys the journey continues! Extremely relatable and real for most hunters, and the hill country never gets old either. My favorite terrain to hunt.
Really good video! Hunting with a daughter is special every time even if it ends with the tag still in your pocket. I used to hunt close to your area by Dorchester. My daughter killed her first buck with a bow on public ground there and I was in the tree with her. I have since sold my farm there and bought one in Fayette County to be closer to home. Can't wait to see Jordan's first bow buck one on film!!
Great advice. I started keeping my release on my bow after I forgot it one time. That’s the first thing I do when I get back to my vehicle after a hunt is take it off my wrist and strap to the bow.
My little girl is 6 and I started taking her turkey, deer and coyote hunting this year. It’s been an amazing adventure so far! I’m looking forward to what the future holds. Love the dad daughter hunting videos Bill
Words of Wisdom by Jordan was a great piece of advice for every bowhunter. I've done it before. Luckily I keep a backup in my pack but definelty solid advice. Interesting on how that 1 1/2 yr old reacted to the stop grunt. I wonder if it scared him because of how quiet it was? I would think it's not pressure related or bully buck? I'm sure you'll be gun shy on trying it again!! Lol.. Good luck!
Being someone who’s hunted high pressure skittish deer my whole life down here in south Alabama. When it’s super calm out late evening or early morning with close quarters deer I’ve found that the best way to stop ‘em is with a light tongue click or a real quick high pitch whistle works best. I rarely ever “grunt” to stop a deer.
Interesting. I have whistled before, but I fear that in the heat of the moment I might not be able to pull it off. Thanks for the input. Good luck this season.
I spent this weekend scouting some public spots and squirrel hunting. Heat was too much for me to start targeting bucks so I plunked a limit of squirrels on some public ground and dropped some pins on fresh rubs and scrapes I found. Tomorrow I got the day off work and will be doing my first morning hunt. Good luck this upcoming rut!
Also had that happen to me when I tried to stop a big shooter. It was still and he was about 10 yards away. He jumped back into a thicket and stared in my direction after I gave him the stop grunt . Was a lesson learned. If that close and on a slow pace walk, let it rip
It looked to me like that buck was going to stop to survey the field before he walked any further. Maybe not, but they typically will do that moving from one type of terrain to another. Good video. Looks like beautiful property.
Don’t forget to range those shooting lanes also. Nice tip with the release, I started doing that a few years back, not sure why but probably because I was wondering where it was after climbing in the stand. I’m sure we are all eagerly awaiting Jordan’s first shot. I’m sure it will be on the money. Aim small miss small Jordan!
Man y’all are having way too much fun together!! Lol Keep up the great videos and I can’t wait to see her get a shot here soon!! November’s right around the corner Jordan!
Long time follower, Bill. Love the new content and format. GoPro's sure are something these days, huh? Much nicer than what you started filming with, and were even filming with within the last decade. Best of luck to you and Jordan the rest of season.
Love the channel and love what yall do. I could only dream of doing what you’re doing. Can’t wait to see Jordan get first blood! Good luck to yall this season and can’t wait until the next episode. Keep em coming!
As a beginner, I use to wait to put my release on until I was in my stand. That was until I climbed into my stand in November and as I was pulling my bow up, a buck chased a doe right by my stand. I wasn’t able to get my release on in time. Also, if you have your release on and put on another layer of clothing, make sure your release is not caught in the sleeve. That also prevented me from shooting a nice buck. Good luck Jordan!!
Like the father daughter team... be safe out there my very good friend fell out the tree a week ago and is now paralyzed from the arm pits down... pretty rough time the last week...
I think the buck was also reacting to the scented arrows stuck in the ground infront of his nose, when you grunted at him. LOL on the, "wish it had vodka in it"
The vodka comment got me, I chuckled. That young buck probably freaked out on account that it was so calm and he was standing at the tightest point in the pinch where he is most vulnerable. I’ve watched a lot of bucks stop and watch for minutes before entering a field and you just happened to try and stop him right where he would have done that.
Pay attention, because this is how you do it like a lady. Feminine, but not feminist, and not over-compensating in order to impress her male counterparts in the industry.
Hey Bill, I'm curious what trailer you're using for the blinds. I'm looking at getting a redneck for 2023 and would like to get it on a trailer but they are all fairly pricey new. Looking forward to more content to come!
I've been loving these videos! I haven't read all the comments but do you think that first buck spooked not from the grunt but rather the scent on the practice arrows stuck in the ground?
Just a thought but did the buck catch scent off the arrows Jordan shot into the ground right where the buck stopped, would explain his reaction to the grunt?
It's great to see you back at its Bill and what a blessing to be able to hunt with your daughter! What are the portable stands you are using now? Also, could you give some info on the trailers you are using for the Redneck blinds? Size, brand, do they come with the stabilizing jacks or are they aftermarket?

💙♥️ prayers for you and your Dad.
All the best
Nothing greater than getting to share these experiences with your kids!! Get that young lady some VODKA!!
Great to see you making a series again, but also great to see you teaching Jordan also. As hunters, we should all pass on our knowledge to the next generation whenever possible. I really enjoy sitting with my daughters when they hunt and see them be successful and realize how much I have taught them over the years. Very rewarding.
Agreed. That time is the best quality time possible. Thanks for the comment.
The videos with yall setting things up are just as good as the hunts on video. People learn from them. Great job yall
Thanks William. I appreciate the comment and the support. Good luck.
Nice series, Jordan is a natural in front of the camera, good role model for beginning and younger hunters!
Moments they’ll cherish forever I’m sure. I’d give up just about everything to take a few more trips with mine. Your videos have been coming up on my feed for years, not gonna lie never clicked on one till Jordan was on.
Ah man, that hurts! But, thanks for finally clicking.
With all due respect, Mr. Dennet

Man, that was a hard luck day! Thanks for the support and the comment. Good luck.
Enjoy these father daughter hunts especially with the new bow hunter tips.
Happy to see Bill in the woods with a camera again. I was going through withdrawal from real guys filming real hunting! Love the concept you’re doing, my only comment is to let Jordan do more of the talking.
Thanks Bill and thanks Jordan! I will always enjoy Bills videos. Its going to be a great season, happy hunting!

Winke’s are quality people. This whole video makes me happy for them. I am excited for what is in store throughout the season…for hunters and viewers alike.
Your videos are awesome Bill, and having Jordan on the show is awesome!
I’m really enjoying watching you two hunt and spend time together! Very cool to see the knowledge sharing and Jordan taking it in.
Thanks Ryan. Jordan very sharp and will have this figured out very quickly. Good luck this weekend.
Good stuff Bill! It’s so much more relatable. It’s going to be a fun journey watching the improvements come together over time.
Great time in the woods ,father and daughter, good luck with the season and happy drinking😜,coffee
Glad to see you back Bill, hope all is well. Love seeing you and Jordan work and hunt together. Looking forward to following your adventures!
Starting to be my favorite channel! Love to see everything being built from the ground up

Agree. There's no show I'd rather watch than anything Winke related.
Been watching I'm pulling for Jordan Winke to get her first Bowkill. Keep after em.

I like this Bill/Jordan show more than Bill Jordan's Show🤣🤣
interesting. That's common up in Wisconsin. They react a little differently than southern Iowa. Cheers Bill and good luck my friend!
That looks like a sweet property. I see why you took your time finding it. Good luck!
Great job with the practice shots from the tree....always take a couple extra

That is a great tip Jordan. I do that exact thing. I also keep a spare in my truck center console in case mine breaks.
Jordan has perfect shooting form with rock solid follow through.
Rooting for the daughter Sir. Great content and thanks for your time
Enjoy the tips and watching your start up that's a beautiful farm thanks looking forward to the future kills.

Dad always taught me to whistle to get a deer to stop... Don't know if it is right but has always worked... Good luck
really enjoying the new content I've been around a while and learned so much from all ur videos over the years glad to see u back out with the camera
Excellent. Thanks for footage, reminders & lessons.
I love that you get to hunt with your daughter, life is good!
Best show on TV Jordan and Bill.
Also had that happen to me when I tried to stop a big shooter. It was still and he was about 10 yards away. He jumped back into a thicket and stared in my direction after I gave him the stop grunt . Was a lesson learned. If that close and on a slow pace walk, let it rip
Agreed. Shoot them walking 20 yards and in. Aim for the shoulder and that lead will be perfect.
Great video and hunt Bill, tips are great for veteran hunters and beginners.
Anticipation is building, best if success Jordan and Bill!! Bill, maybe a mixed drink in the tree will keep her nerves down when the time comes😄
I've seen every video so far but man some of the drone footage highlighted just how beautiful NE Iowa is!!!
I grew up hunting these hills and bluffs. It really gets in a person's blood.
It looked to me like that buck was going to stop to survey the field before he walked any further. Maybe not, but they typically will do that moving from one type of terrain to another.
Good video. Looks like beautiful property.
Great beginner information Bill. Jordan will get a buck before y’all know it. Good luck guys!

Enjoyed the video Bill. Can see lots of potential in Jordan, once she gets used to the camera and lets it roll she's gonna be awesome.
Much appreciated Dozier. I think she will do great too.
Thanks for sharing your videos and keep them coming please.
Man y’all are having way too much fun together!! Lol
Keep up the great videos and I can’t wait to see her get a shot here soon!! November’s right around the corner Jordan!
Love how real your keeping this , not a super star production w interviews and kill shots

Bill…what make is your hooded fleece camouflage are the two of you using in the video? They look warm, comfortable and quiet. Thanks!
As a beginner, I use to wait to put my release on until I was in my stand. That was until I climbed into my stand in November and as I was pulling my bow up, a buck chased a doe right by my stand. My only wish to one day get to hunt with my kids Blessings Bill🙏🏽
I think the buck was also reacting to the scented arrows stuck in the ground infront of his nose, when you grunted at him. LOL on the, "wish it had vodka in it"
Body size on that ‘lil’ Buck was impressive…Then again, I’m used to chasing Blacktails…😁👊🏻🏹
so fun watching u two
Vodka 🤣🤣, great to see Jordan getting more comfortable. Loving the content. What's the closest you guys are parking the atv? Never done it.
Lol...I'm with ya on the Vodka! Many, many hours spent on stand wishing I had just maybe a little "something else" in my coffee!
Thanks for the comment J Voss - but don't encourage her!
Could that buck have got a whiff of scent from Jordan’s arrows she is shooting right where they are walking?
The vodka comment got me, I chuckled. That young buck probably freaked out on account that it was so calm and he was standing at the tightest point in the pinch where he is most vulnerable. I’ve watched a lot of bucks stop and watch for minutes before entering a field and you just happened to try and stop him right where he would have done that.

Thanks Matt. I am pretty sure those are Carry On 2.4k trailers. I got them at Theisen's. They are 6x8 I think. Good luck.
@@bill-winke thanks! I'll look into one of those if I can't find one in reasonable shape used.

I've been loving these videos! I haven't read all the comments but do you think that first buck spooked not from the grunt but rather the scent on the practice arrows stuck in the ground?
I never really thought of it, but it is possible though he did bolt just as I grunted, but you make a good point.
Just a thought but did the buck catch scent off the arrows Jordan shot into the ground right where the buck stopped, would explain his reaction to the grunt?

Lone wolf alphas
Always expect the unexpected. Would be my beginners tip.
Which line of Code of Silence Jacket were you wearing in this video, Bill? It sure looks comfortable.
Was that the Verdegre or the Zone7 Versa?
bill run a subsoiler over those acorn plots. it helps the roots get down quicker.
In the end, the deer don't really matter. Spending time together and joking around making memories is the trophy.
Great stuff!
How far away do you park the 4 wheeler from where your stand is?
Not far because we can hide it behind the standing corn. Maybe 100 yards. If the corn was picked it would be a lot different.
Great hunt!
Hey Bill where you get your acorn’s from?
