Veeery good! All the issues I had, thank you so much! I had to run the backup camera cables through the rear speaker and I'm having a problem because the trunk lock on my 2003 E60 works reversed and they don't send me another one.

I got an e60 528xi with a fuckton of miles for stupid cheap, and after 7ish months of ownership i got super bored of not being able to do anything with non nav CCC lmfao. I might end up picking one of these up with the carplay dongle and let you know how that goes if and and when i do!

Hi. After watching your videos I decided to buy the same device for my e91 2012. The only problem that I think I’ll have is that aux is located in armrest storage box. Will that make any difference?
How did you manage to plug in the reverse camera? Did you use any tutorial?

Nah, you can just conceal the wire and plug into the aux in the armrest. I did it in my e90 320i

You can use an Android screen as long as your iDrive powers on and can output sound via aux.
Love the video helps me understand it now I installed my head unit 2 years ago but could never understand when I played music thought the Android screen there was never any sound I even install AUX CABLE into the back of my radio but still didn't work but makes since now like you say need to have it program till the car
After I get the AUX CABLE programed how does the music from the Android screen play thought my car speakers
I bought the 12.3" SD662 with 256/8gb for e60 :-) You can remove the message "Phone is starting". Also you can run the AUX connection straight to the Quadlock connector (because AUX comes from there). No need to run any cable somewhere to the AUX in your car.

Hy , I have the same but my original ccc menu dose not display well , I tried to change the settings but I could not find a setting to fit . What can I do to fit the screen menu ?
Have you managed to fix this problem? I had this same problem and changed the factory setting Car setup to e60 CCC big if the problem you have is that the CCC screen is too small, in case you didn’t know the code for factory settings is 8866
hi , when the start up the screen it’s showing the ANDROID on the screen after then showing the bmw logo, can you tell me how to change it or not see the Android logo on the screen please, i was try everything things it not go away please please explain it for me if you know about the , thanks.
In the second 14... In my case, When you start the stereo two speakers turn off... And by turning off the car and turning on only the radio... Sounds complete

I bought mine from the same seller though slightly different, no visible slot to the left of the screen and seller said mine was updated version. System is also slightly different, I have no Factory Settings option, only through the ‘Android Version: 10’ button where the password is ‘666666’ to enter. Not much things to adjust compared to what you showed. Wish there was a way to change the image of the car as its currently an X6. Also can you show how you could change the boot image, mine is currently displaying ‘MBMW’.

If you go to the advanced menu, the one where you enter 1314 as the PIN, there is a setting for the controller, just change it from Type 1 to Type 2. It might fix it.

You can use either or, if your car has Bluetooth, Bluetoothing the phone with your car will use the OEM mic. Or you can Bluetooth with the Android unit and use the microphone on the unit. OEM mic works better in my experience.

Bonjour j'ai un problème avec mon android je n'entends pas le sens du téléphone quand je suis en train d'écouter la radio le téléphone ça fiche ou au poste en Bluetooth mais pas de sang qui sort de la voiture par contre quand je suis en auxiliaire j'entends le son je suis obligé donne être toujours à l'heure pour avoir le téléphone je voulais savoir comment faire pour avoir le téléphone sans mettre l'auxiliaire merci pour votre réponse
Just bought used e61 with android 7 model px3. Bluetooth works great it controls the phones media player and reads info about songs, but no sound. But, when there is a phone call all sound is there through speakers, any ideas?
Sounds like a problem with the aux. Phone calls are piped through the cars Bluetooth and sound system but it doesn't recognize Media, just calls. Media goes through the android unit which is then sends sound to the car through the car's auxiliary input. Check in iDrive that aux is selected as the media source. Note most cars didn't come with aux and it has to be fitted and programmed.
Did you buy de CCC or CIC android unit??
i have an aftermarket headunit from BRENNAN i cant get the sound to work the screen works great , if the ccc navigation and dvd box isnt working will this prevent the sound ffrom working?
Yup. The sound runs through the CCC which sends it to the amp.
Hi! Any ideas why Idrive knob "works" at both systems at once? When scrolling through android menu it also take effects at ccc :(
Ouch that's annoying. Maybe try changing the knob type in the factory settings menu? Go through those factory settings and check that everything is correct. Hopefully that does it.

I have 2010 bmw 528i E60 iDrive CCC head unit, look like yours. After installing aftermarket sound system the door Gong/chime became VERY loud and it bothers me. My question, can i either turn the gong off completely or lower the volume in the iDrive? I ask alot of people they dont know how. I also have the software ISTA + and I know it can be done but not for my model. Let me know, Thanks!
Oh no! That sounds so annoying but I'm sorry I have no idea. Maybe online there's some info about how to code out the bongs or if there's a module somewhere for the bongs it could just have its power cut. I know the chime comes out of the speakers but I don't think its generated by the CCC it just runs through it. Good luck. That 3oC bong always gives me a heart attack I hate those things.

Just wondering how intuitive does it feel to use your touch display while driving? I'm debating picking this up or the 10 or 12.2" version. But I sort of hate that the 10" version doesn't look OEM.
The screen looks a little far but maybe that's not an issue.
(I'm also about to pick up an e61).
It is a bit far and a reach to use the touch. However the iDrive controller still works and can be used as well with some apps. Typing is a chore however. I use voice dictation whenever I can.

Hard to beat the OEM look.
The 10" version almost fits into the area. Got me debating.
Hello i bought a android unit for my e60 pre facelift and installed it but there is a problem when i stat android everything is good. Imagen i watch youtube and then when i go to idrive and get back on android the sound dissappear( its acutally there but the sound is soo sooo quit that you can hear it only when your ear go over the speaker) when reboot the system everything start working again. I am looking for help ! Thanks for the time reading my comment
I have a similar problem with my sound being super quiet. I think it has to do with a resistor that is installed on the BMW auxiliary cable. If I get quiet sound on mine I switch on the Android unit to Media or Bluetooth music and the sound comes back loud again. Ultimately what I'm going to try is to change out the BMW aux cable for a non-oem one that doesn't have the resistor. I hope that makes sense.
@@IDontKnowWhatImDoingDIY I am with aftermarket aux that i coded and installed my self but actually if you unplug the aux output fron the navi it still works 😂😂 for me..
