7 years later and I'm still learning mechanics.
Me too
Yeahh
Same
@@fxar_rocco1373 you play fortnite......
I played a bit when it first released on ps3.... just really started getting into now on my Switch! Still a great game 10 years later almost
I know this is old, and pms00 may not see this, but I just wanted to say I am blown away by the quality content. There are so many "guides" out there posted by some clueless teenagers whose game knowledge is actually below that of the average player. And they get like a million likes and subs by just reading off whatever is written in UESP. Thank you, for going through the trouble of actually meticulously experimenting and sharing your findings. This channel and ESO are the only two I've seen that consistently provide me with information I hadn't known before. I wish every serious Skyrim player would watch your videos. Just wanted to let you know that there ARE people out there who appreciate real, concrete content. Subbed and liked.
then how do you know the others are clueles teenagers if this and the other one are only ones youve seen?
Ever heard of "adjective clauses?" The part that comes after "that" or "which?" Yeah, you were trying to be smartass and was taught basic English.
doesnt change the stupidity of your post, all it says is im not english
Don't try to support a dumbass mate, you know InkWavve is right, why the fuck are you being a pendejo and trying to make sense of a question that has none? InkWavve clearly said that ESO and PMS00 are the only ones he' watched that"consistently provide me with information I hadn't known before" As in upload good content, not that those were the only channels he watched, and I can understand a basic language barrier that's fine there's nothing wrong with that but if the sheer stupidity of his/she's statement of disagreement that InkWavve is not right is not enough to convince you that this is not a misunderstanding but rather straight up stupidity, idk what will.
MISTAKEWASMADE4live what exactly is he right about? He only shared his opinion about something, not a fact. Sorry but even if I agree with someone's statement that doesn't change how rude he/she was.
I feel like ive been playing skyrim wrong my whole life
i feel the same.
Just use magic and make a spell sword.
Ive been dual wielding wrong this entire time
yeah same here. so much I didn't know
the best guide to anything i hav evr seen...
Yep even "pro" players like ESO don't even come close to the quality of this guy, while most of Skyrim's new players will quit the game hunting down Kynes token and shoving arrows up their ass with Faendal on Novice pms00 is showing how to enjoy it even on legendary.
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk😁😎😇23
I really don't understand why people consider ESO an authority. As a seriously experienced player (Fifteen Thousand hours, bordering on sixteen) I see huge, gaping flaws in every video he makes
+Soldin PG Jesus... That's eight times more than I've played it and I am already bored... (Then I am on a Mac and unable to get DLC's or mods, so that's probably the reason...)
Fifteen thousand of those hours was on the 360
This guy is such a legend, there is ACTUAL no better content in all over the internet about core machanics of the game, and the guy did it basically at the launch of it, even with all the info we have today, no one can beat him.
One of the best Skyrim guides I have ever come across. Very detailed, straightforward, yet thorough. Nice work.
Your videos are everything I could ever want in a guide, detailed, tested to be true, to the point and clear, excellent video making
Thank you for doing this video. It's very clear and concise. If only I saw this a little sooner, a few wasted points, however it still saved me many. I watched your Heavy vs Light armour just before this video.(I'm Canadian, we use U's , like in colour, there's always a few to make comments). Just got yourself another subscriber. Please keep up the good work, I can see you gaining many more subscribers in the coming future. That is my hope, so it will keep you motivated to continue on making these types of videos for people like me.
Cheers
i'm not done with Skyrim but i'm done with UA-cam until they reactivate the features of my account that were disabled
Still done with yt?
April 2021 - It only got much worse on UA-cam and elsewhere, thankfully the people are now organizing other platforms that will continue to allow freedom of speech and treat their users fairly and openly.
I hope you have continued to give such good information, it's a grim situation when we cannot get access to the facts and data we need because of petulant groups. New platforms will provide a return to normal communication and we hope to see you there friend. Regards.
I love listening to this guy dismantle half of the perks in-game. Great source of information and very clear and entertaining overall.
you didn't use your fork and knife right your meant to use you fork in the left hand and knife in the right
Dovakin is right handed
Pffffr please
Its spelled davakiin
It's Dovahkiin
G3N Imperial savages
eat with their foot. They have no idea what a knife and fork is used for.
lol i decapitated a bandit with a fork
Can you use forks as weapons?
yes
Bon appetite
Gnarly
idea:upgrade knife and become cannibal(in skyrim)
wear the gourmets clothes(or just a chefs hat)
name character:The chef
Pure information is the rarest thing in the World, thank You
really everything gets op so just use what you want
Anyone else still come back to this video for a refresher in 2019?
just discovered this gem, and just want to say my nord would want to know if this channel would have any review for two handed skill tree perks
Elemental Fury is my favorite shout, glad you added that
Amazing. I've seen so many guides, none as well researched as this. Fantastic content.
No wonder combat felt like an awkward damage race and frantic pausing for potions.
I was doing the alternating thing, and I thought the dual attack WAS the power attack (i.e. not to be spammed).
Thanks mate, you just saved my enjoyment of Skyrim. I was worried I’d just effed the build up by not choosing heavy armour.
Great video. I wish every video was like this you UA-cam. Straight to the point, no filler dialogue, very informative.
Well it's an 11 year old video, they don't make them like they used to lol.
ive been watching a few of your video the past couple days.
just wanted to say, great uploads. i love how much detail you go into. especially for someone like me who has never played any elder scrolls before skyrim. the tips and notes help me out a lot on my current build.
thanks again :D
This is a video I can say I truly love. no nonsense and clear and a lot of info. Great going. subscribing !
even a guide this old is so useful. I was feeling underwhelmed by duel wielding, but now I understand how to make it much more efficient
well explained, thank you for showing the details of the system in such an efficient way.
And because i cant recall you mention this:
Since your dual wielding attack speed depends on your offhand you can enchant your mainhand with anything and use the shout anyway. The shout will land only on the offhand then but you do not need it on your main.. delicious damage.
@NewWorIdSaint - yeah i spent a full "day" (play time) recording and then the editing/commentary/re-editing/rendering/upload took another full day. text edits take ~an hour or less
lol! i've played for 900+ hours and i didnt even know you could dual attack simply by clicking both mouse buttons at the same time without doing a power attack... i feel dumb haha
Huge thanks. Was about to call it a day on Skyrim because the combat was so not fun. This absolutely did the trick and I made immediate progress. Much appreciated.
April 2021.
This is such great information. Not just opinion but facts. I am back to play this game to relax, I am a bit weary of zombies in 7Dtd, loved it, great scary game, I'll go back to it too.
Your deeper understanding of this game's advantages and disadvantages shows the amount of work you have put into analyzing how the game has been designed and I value such a person's advice. Thanks for making me aware and also realizing I need to be more rigorous with the application of perks etc.
Your info will give an added dimension to this next play through. Thanks so much for all the time and work you have put in. Regards.
i think these are still the best guides to game mechanics; thanks pms00.
Appreciate the knowledge you just dropped on me here. You definitely make the most informative and helpful guides. Thank you for your efforts.
Extremely well done! I usually don't dual wield but wanted to try it with my Argonian. I love the way dual Imperial/Elven Swords look due to their sharpness.
Happy 200th video psm00!!! You create the best skyrim content on youtube and give us amazing commentaries.
Great vid, never got further than whiterun when the game lauched. Now finally playing it and had no idea you had to hold both trigger to dual wield strike. Thanks!
Thanks a bunch for posting this. There's so much misinformation made by people who either don't have the perk they talk about or don't pay attention to the perk's actual effects beyond their text description. I look forward to whatever you choose to do next.
9 goddamn years later and still there is so much to learn. Thank you sensei
it's been 4 years and i'm still waiting for a guide to two-handed weapons...i cry every time
I decided for the first time ever to play through with dual wield. Going to go dual swords because it just looks so cool, nice to know it's definitely viable. Might switch to dagger and sword but not sure, liking the swords so far alot. Thank you for the great guide
You are seriously amazing! Your explanations are completely in depth and you explain all your math and explain the pros and cons of each perk even if you think they suck! Absolutely subscribing and liking your videos :)
I am simply amazed how informative this was. Great vid, keep it up!
Come back your videos are too good!!!
Very useful. Thank you. Improved my dualwield right there.
Thanks for this. I’ve been playing a dual wielding red guard in a heavily modded playthrough and I was looking to improve my sword fighting.
#1 video guide maker for Skyrim. I recommend you to every person I know that plays.
You are by far the best skyrim UA-camr, even better than trendkill
you're the best, thanks for listening to our requests
Cop: What’s in your pocket
You:348 Potatoes
Do a 2h guide please! Your guides are amazing!! so far you are the only one i have seen testing everything carefully and taking the time to do the maths to see if a perk is useful or not..thanks to you i have discovered that i have a ton of useless perks! I am playing a female orc warrior berserker style, and i thought 2h fitted best the role, but if it sucks badly compared to 2 1h weapons i guess i'll change to that..Thanks for the amazing vids!!
Upload took forever. I went through each thing briefly, but if anything is unclear - ask away in the comments. Help me reach 5k subs. Subscribe if you haven't!
holy crap bro I love your vids, you put so much time and effort into your vids, good job keep it up
Thank you so much! This is exactly what I needed, your skill testing and knowledge is much appreciated, glad I found this video.
Out of all the people, you hqve been the most informative. TY
As always pms love your videos. This video must have took days to put out. I know you could probably put out a non commentary video out super quick but i appreciate your dedication into this voice over vids.
This answered so many questions of mine... best guide videos.
holy shit. this is the best guide for a game I have ever seen
This really demonstrates how bad dual wielding is by default (alternating attacks) and how it only becomes strong by doing the annoying double attack or by cheesing the system with consumables to allow you to repeatedly chain power attacks.
@bayraponmamas - i miss being able to crank out those text guides in a couple of hours but videos like this running 13+ minutes while trying to talk fast show how limited they were. i can't crank out 2-3 a day anymore so the effort that goes into these is definitely a lot more. thanks for noticing. i won't be putting out anything half-assed.
Wow this guide is very thorough!
Well done and thank you for this very helpful video!
Kudos to you sir!
wow finally an awsome guide, easy to understand and explains very well
Great. Great Videos. The best guides I've seen. I would love a similar stat break down on Archery.
To those saying 2h isn't good I have one word for you:
Sweep :P
I know this is three years old but what do you mean?
i am pretty sure sweep is a perk for 2 handed weapons that allows for the player to hit everything in front of them
@@jalllu i also know this is three years old and u´re right :D
You are my favorite commentator hands don keep up these videos!
ethereal is great, especially if you use paarthurnax's focus to have it regen health. nothing wrong with opening up with it and using it to heal when needed. hotkey both and switch to fury for more dps when you don't need the protection/healing.
another useful trick: you can buffer a power attack right after a regular attack. hold a power attack right after a regular attack would allow the regular attack go through first, followed immediately by a power attack (for fast attack speed weapons like daggers to glass axes, this buffering can be done immediately. for slow attack speed weapon like deadra mace or two handed weapons, you need to buffer the power attack shortly after the regular attack..instead of immediately after)
love the vids man youve become my favorite youtuber. keep the awesome vids comin!!
I've just gone back into Skyrim after playing Fallout 4 to DEATH and I decided to duel wield this time but knew nothing about it. This was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks mate.
Great guide!
This has helped me realize some important points for duel wielding. Thanks! :D
After playing skyrim for the last 6yrs I am still learning something new
I been playing this game for awhile and this and this was still helpful
@getondeesnutz - i was a network technician. no video exp other than what i've taught myself in vegas & after effects, but you can see my inexperience from the lack of cool intros or special effects. most of the stats come from tables, wiki's, the link in the video description or my own testing.
I love these videos, because sometimes i dont know witch perks best to put on when in level 20
At the cost of sounding incredibly knowledgeable, what actually boosts the benefit gained from cooking or eating food that you made yourself. Maybe it's just I don't really cook often but your food looks more powerful then mine was.
this video without a thumbnail is still a skyrim guide classic :0
Wow 300 hundred hours in with my one handed character and I read a lot on uesp yet I still found many new insights here great guide. Luckily for us dagger users fortify one handed works for daggers after patch phew.
the most professional guide i have ever seen.
Thanks for making this. I was wanting to try to build up a duel wielding warrior.
@KARBONdieOXIDE - thank you for the kind words. i know it will come. the positive feedback from all of you guys keeps me going.
@TheForgeUndergound - fork and knife. they are on the table outside when you buy the porch upgrade for Honeyside.
I learned alot about one handed and dual weilding, thanks man :)
@MrJonatan1535 - chef's clothes are all over. you get a few sets during the dark brotherhood quest line and you can find them in the kitchens of many of the major cities.
Best guide on the subject
Will you cover dawnguard weapons and new perks please? If so , thank you for the great content.
You just earned a new subscriber, sir
pms, you rock buddy. you do a ton of research for us all and give i too us straight up. keep em coming.
UA-cam better be nice to you. they will get alot of hits off of your vids. =)
Note that if you have the Dragonborn DLC (or own Special Edition) you can smith Stalhrim weapons with Ebony Smithing, of which the War Axe and Mace are the same damage of their Ebony and Daedric counterparts, but weighing less than either of them.
Subbed and liked, real good solid info here.
Damn he's good
i thought i was a pro but i learned a couple things lol
no u didnt he has almost no enchanting skill man if u walk into battle with out enchanted swords ur killing ur self
same
@MrJonatan1535 - fork and knife are on the outside table when you buy the porch upgrade for honeyside.
@ZmanCanTV - you can have them. there are several scattered all over, but i picked this set up on the table outside of Honeyside when you buy the Porch upgrade.
this guy deserves more subs
This literally the best guide of anything Skyrim related I have ever found, its nice to see that not all Skyrim players a just a bunch of PC brain dead idiots that abuse mods for EVERYTHING, thank you so much for the tips even I didn't know, subscribed.
I KNOW RIGHT? I was so sick of all those sqeaky teenagers who get a shit ton of subs by spamming dumbass memes and not through the quality of content... until I found this channel and ESO. Real. Content.
I use mods to make the game harder. That's the best part of mods. Skyrim by default is an easy thoughtless game, but with mods it has more depth and is a challenging and tactical experience when in combat. Also, there are mods to make things outside of combat more challenging as well.
To true. The game is dumped down to make it playable by kids on consol with the crap interface and controller because the previous games were to hard for them.
The dual wield power attack is slow if you use two daggers, because the startup includes reversing your grip on the right-hand dagger. You can see that at 2:20 if you look at the fork.
Exactly what i was looking for, thank you
I never knew that teh off-hand was slower than the right-hand/main-hand. It makes sense that the devs would do this, as it reflects real life. This also explains why my combat with two weapons has not been great. I have been duel-wielding a mace in the off-hand and an axe in main hand, "because it looks cool". I would do better if i simply switched hands, or opted for a dagger/sword in the offhand. This is very helpful, thank you!!!
once again, wonderful video pms
thank you. glad to hear the country differences aren't a problem!
You definitely can, and let me just say that decapitations with the mace is pretty sweet if I may say so myself. I use the Mace of Molag Bal with a shield and it's a pretty good combination.
You have great guides. Thanks for making them. They feel informative, they are well done. Lot of footage in youtube is just very lazy, people upload some crap and when watching I dont even feel like I should be paying attention because its probably going to be shit and waste of my time. Your videos are interesting from beginning to the end.
I wish this guy got as well noticed as fudgemuppet or eso as I found this guide as useful as the stuff they put out
Everyone make sure to like all his videos, he works harder than most of the famous people on youtube. His videos are great quality and I've learned more from pms than anyone.
good stuff man. keep making videos
