    Great video my man! Kuo really is one of the greatest technical lifters, she's helped me visualize and develop my own mental image of my own technique.
    Just FYI: I've noticed you say her first name (Hsing Chun) before her last name (Kuo). However, in Mandarin, we say it in the opposite order (e.g. Kuo Hsing-Chun).
    Keep up the awesome content!

    How do you get the proper hip contact and also how do you make your knees go forward

    I’m a CrossFit athlete trying to improve my Oly lifts!
    My clean is steadily climbing, but my snatch seems to be stuck

    Are there drills to work on this movement pattern?

    So you wait for the bar to make contact with hips, then extend with knees. How do you cue the ankle extension? I know it sounds stupid but from what I learned from a Chinese coach, you just have to think about your “quads” when extending and not consciously using the ankles. Just curious how you would teach this portion.

    a cue i was taught by Oleksiy torokhtiy is look straight and keep your eyes fixed on something throughout the lift. do you teach this as well?

      I do coach eyes forward, but do not use visual cues as most lifters will zone out and only focus on feeling of movement, but I could see how that could work for some people.

    Great explanation!! What is a cue or exercise you like to use for keeping the foot flat when the bar just passes the knee? (i.e. when folks hyperextend the hammies, toes fly up, etc.)

    • @GarageStrength
      @GarageStrength  4 роки тому +3

      Thank you. I cue my lifters think push knees forward from the heels for dorsiflexion right when the bar passes the knees 👍

      @@osamanahlawi4386 Understood. Those are a good starting point. You can throw in shorter sprints to work on start technique. Train Olympic lifts to build speed and power. Use single leg squats with barbell to develop strength in each leg. Do trap bar jumps for more power development and full range of motion squats (ass to grass) to develop strength, mobility, and stretch reflex in your legs. Hope that helps 💪
