    im 6'4" with very long arms (and thankfully a longish torso) struggling with hip contact in the snatch. I either have to bend my arms - or shrug aggressively before contact in the second pull. The arm bend feels so inconsistent at heavier weights. Should I switch to upper thigh contact or just shrug hard? How the fuck does lasha achieve good contact at his height?

    • @lev8541
      @lev8541 2 роки тому

      @@marcusbundajev3159 this is a great suggestion - just watched his snatch. its very similar to what im inclined to do naturally but so different from what is commonly taught - the thigh contact doesnt really allow for a very aggressive second pull (compared to the thigh contact). It seems like the bar accelerates less for kokylaev but maybe faster off the floor?

    I don't get it. You can't jump with your heels planted, so what's the real reason for flat heels?

      Yes supplements are good, if you are still eating well. Whey protein, creatine, and caffeine are beneficial.

    Does the bodyweight help in olympic lifting? If I gain weight (as fat), I will improve my PR?

    • @deavman
      @deavman 2 роки тому +2

      Probably..it will be easier to keep you muscle mass if natural. Also a fat stomach helps in bouncing back from the bottom position.
