Such a beautiful area to enjoy👌,it is wonderful to see it through your eyes and passion for adventure🤠. Thankyou, I look forward to seeing Part 2 when it comes on UA-cam. 👍👍
Great tracks, did lots of trail biking all through that area in the mid and late 70s, good to know that its all still accessible, magnificent views from every high point.
Randomly suggested video. I lived in Mansfield whilst backpacking in Aus 2006. Jack Daniels Vittoria coffee and the High Country - great video I want to be back in the hills
Cheers mate, I take the misses sometimes but I do love exploring solo, can be a daunting sometimes when i get in a sticky situation. Cheers for the comment mate 👍
It’s a great adventures through there, done those trk from each direction in the past 12 mounts & camped at Lovicks, slow going but great fun. Great vid looking forward to part 2👍
G'day Mick, This was filmed at the end of May. Agreed it's beautiful, has definitely become one of my top 5 places in Australia. Cheers for the comment and Part 2 coming out end of the week. Grant.
@@4x4devgru Thats when I was there, although the next few days I crossed oved the border on the Tom Goggin Track to Mt Kosciusko and did some snow camping.
Such a beautiful part of Australia isn't it! I've always tried to imagine what it would have been like to live in places like that back in the late 1800/early 1900 when they were first built. Would have been scary but amazing.
Nice. Can’t help but hear all the squeaks your car makes (I have just redone all my linkage bushings so am paranoid thus my ear is tuned to it). Hadn’t heard of the diesel alpine additive before. Have lived in Canada and Alaska and they don’t use it at -20/-60C
Hey bloke, thanks for a great vid. Just wondering how you rate your kings pop up roof tent ? Upper Jamieson hut is my fav spot, good to see you there , i know it is a while ago now. All good to that spot ! Cheers 🤠👌
Cheers mate, you can do it stock height, but I would be careful of bottoming out underneath on rocks etc. A lift would be better to have. I'm only running a 2" lift. Thanks for the comment 👍
Looks nice mate, curious how long you gave yourself for this trip? Weekender or a bit longer? By chance do you know if this a dog friendly trip or does it run through restricted areas? Also curious to see if you’re running a lift with bigger tyres? Cheers mate 👌🍻
It was three days for both part 1 and 2. You could easily do it a bit longer over 4 days. I don't think you can take a dog as it's national park from memory, best to check the Vic Govt website. I'm only running a 2"lift with 32" tyres . I only scraped a couple of times when I didn't see a drop or rock sticking up. Cheers mate, get out there and enjoy the high country 👍
haha yeah, I run every time I got to get the camera or pick it up...keeps me fit. I didn't have a winch at the time. Luckily I didn't need it, although the route I took wasn't extreme 4X4ing. I have bought one now, more to follow ;) Cheers.

2 minutes into the video, paused, liked and subscribed. Anything on the high country is always great.
The country is on my list to revisit. Cheers for the comment and support :)
@@OverlandUnknown For someone from Queensland doing a solo trip to the High Country going on some great, steep tracks is pretty impressive.
Im always doing solo trips through the High Country, its bloody awesome
Cool drive, it's like hiking with your car
Haha true. Cheers 👍
Awesome video mate, this place is on my bucket list. Can't wait for Part 2.

Good work getting through! I think I'll try this one soon. Worth the drive across the mountains for a swim at Blue Pool when things warm up a bit.
Cheers mate. It's a excellent adventure through the mountains, I highly recommend.
worried you were gone! glad you're back mate :)
Cheers mate, yeah had a bit of time off. Got a few videos coming from the Victoria High Country 👍

Spot on Cassie, walking through those huts gives you a good feel for what it would have been like. Cheers.

Nice vid mate, might need to invest in a little suspension lift myself and do a similar run

@@OverlandUnknown I have a winch, do you think that would be enough to go solo?
@@understarsadventure2632 yeah 100%. I don't hsve a winch on mine atm. Although it would be good insurance to have one if it's wet/ raining.
Any footage on pickerings hut

Oh man, what an adventure. I laughed out loud when you were running around setting up your camera. Good humour.
Did you use a winch?

Great to watch can I ask what month did you do this trip
G'day mate, it was end of May, start of June 👍. Thank you for the comment
What year is your Navara mate? Looks like a great trip
this maybe a silly question but what if someone comes in the opposite direction on these narrow tracks or are they only way one ?
You both move over and pass each other
Great video. What time of year was this?
Hi there could I do the route with an off road hybrid 15ft van behind a 200 landy????
What time on the year is this mate ?
What's that sqeaking noise? It's driving me crazy haha!
Haha yeah I didn't realise it was squeaky until end of the 2nd day. It was the side panel and snorkle squeaking.
