Yes, whoever created the ratio chart, missed the decimal point - should read:
PLASTER ------ > WATER
10 lbs 7 lbs
5 lbs 3.5 lbs
2.5 lbs 1.75 lbs
1.25 lbs .875 lbs
would this ratio work with latex statues molds smaller ones under 6 inchs
Thanks. I was like what the heck man?
@@colindavis2113 so glad you posted this I was like wtf trying to figure that chart out
I use a tamis to sift my plaster into the water, and then mix by hand. This gentle agitation drives out bubbles. Maybe it was in a different video, but Mr. Davis forgot to mention spraying or coating the object with a surfactant to help prevent bubbles from adhering to the surface of the object.
What surfactant do u use?
this was really helpful, thank you
When wearing a dust mask, make sure you shave or else it is useless.
And only wearing it for only 2 minutes is also counter productive. Dust lingers in the air for much longer.
Good job sir! Do you have any tip on where to buy KT 1-4 Kentucky Ball Clay?
Would you please let me know what is the function of those forceps on the tables? I am new to this. Best regards.
the decimal point is not showing which is a Whoa - that can't be right (5lbs plaster to 35lbs water...)
Yes I know it should be obvious from what the other measures are. It just caught my eye and amused me (at my own response).
😍
If I mixed that much air into my plaster, I would have problems.
Can you use Hydrocal? Thank you
What is the bottle of glue for? Do you add it to the plaster?
Capsulend Capsulend The glue is still on the table from his last demo on making cottle boards
Take weight pounds x .70 get weight of water needed
What is a 6 by 6 cube? last time I checked that would give area not volume.
He misspoke. Simply saying a 6” cube would be sufficient.
Isn’t the purpose to NOT add any more air than you need to?!
6x6 what? inches? meters?
sol malana I was wondering about 6x6 at what depth? Thick? Thin?
I know this is a year late, but it's in inches
they use odd measurement systems. could be deer
Inane videography. What does showing the guy's ear tell us about mixing plaster. Why did the guy write out the chart? Why didn't you just zoom in on that instead of posting something that was hilariously wrong?
