    One point I realized I forgot to make was regarding treatment nurses: I prefer Treatment V for all my treatment nurses and let all of them work in any treatment room rather than bothering with the pharmacy or injection specialist skills. It is easier to make sure you have sufficient staff by having nurses that can work in any rooms and the loss of the extra 10% bonus is not too bad as a treatment V nurse is going to have a 99% chance for most illnesses anyway, especially when helped by an upgraded machine. If you have a treatment nurse who comes with the pharmacy/injection skill, I'll accept them but I won't train any of them in pharmacy/injection.

      Actually lots of points you done wrong here. First every diagnosis room has it's own diagnosis multiplier for different diseases. Treatment has a cap limit at 100% , if your nurse is 50% and machine upgrades 50%(stage 3) you don't train them full and save money. Treatment nurses should be (two treatment+one anything you want ). Here's more about how game mechanics works steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1519429114

      @@GAMEOVER-yy6zj I am aware of the diagnosis power of the different diagnosis rooms in relation to different illnesses. There are some illnesses that this Gambit is weak to (lycanthropy comes to mind) but with good doctors and GP's you can brute Force a diagnosis and I keep my psych rooms and ward open for diagnosis so a patient could visit 4 diagnosis rooms and have 5 visits to a gp before running out of options. Not ideal but luckily lycanthropy is an exception, not the rule.
      Regarding treatment %, I need to do more testing to verify what that link is saying. I was under the impression that a less-than-100% diagnosis certainty can be made up for with excessive treatment skill.

    I just rename all my staff. Every ward nurse is named ward. Every treatment is named treat (since I'm too lazy to write treatment) and so on.

    Nice video. I always train between 2-4 different types of nurses, depending on what's needed.
    1. Treatment nurses are 2 Treatment / 1 Stamina and always stay level 3. Sometimes I use 1 Pharmacy or Injection / 1 Treatment so I get 50% treatment on a level 2 nurse, but only if Pharmacy or Injection are very common illnesses or if I'll spam Marketing for them, and even then I keep enough level 3 general treatment nurses to cover everything else as well.
    2. Ward nurses are Ward all the way up for as high as I train them.
    3. Diagnostic nurses, when I do use them, are Diagnosis all the way up for as high as I train them.
    4. Surgery nurses are 1 Stamina. That's it. Level 1 nurses trained in Stamina. Lol

    I absolutely love your videos! I would love to see something like a PDF of basic concepts that you explain in your videos to refer to. It would be great to look at while playing instead of watching the video over again. Even without that, I LOVE these videos and they’ve helped me so much with my gameplay. thank you for what you’re doing!

    I thought the Surgery room description specified a nurse with Treatment skills, but I'll have to double check that. I used to use Ward nurses for Surgery, but Treatment skilled nurses seem to work better. I also avoid the go on break/change clothes problem by picking up my Surgery nurses and dropping them in the break room. They do their thing and go back to work in their scrubs; same for the Surgeons.
    As I get further in my treatment levels, I will again divide my Ward nurses in two - regular Ward nurses and Fracture Ward nurses Same skill set, but my better trained nurses are specified to work in Fracture Ward only while the lesser trained ones work the main Ward only. This gives you a much higher cure rate for the more difficult illnesses in the Fracture Ward.

    I use 4 different nurse builds. Ward nurses with ward IV and either stamina or bedside manner. Treatment nurses with treatment 2(that's all you need for lvl 3 machines) pharmacy, injection, and again either stamina or bedside manner. Diagnostic nurses for general diag, cardio, and fluid analysis with diag IV and either stamina or bedside manner. And surgical nurses with treatment IV and stamina. It costs more money but with treatment prices jacked up to +50% like you advise it's not a problem and things seem to run very smoothly.

    I go for the importance for ward nurses before any other specialization too. However, I usually specialize in pharma nurses soon after because that pharma skill really helps, especially early in the level before machines get those upgrades. I'll split down into dedicated injection nurses too but they usually aren't my priority until a bit later in the game.

    If we want a nurse to be specialized in surgery, do you think it would be useful to give him these qualifications?

    - Emotional Intelligence
    - Motivation
    - Stamina

    so far your tips vids have got me two new hospitals since watching a few days back! 😳😊 namely (well descriptively!), the one next to the power station (nasty buildings, very bad shapes!) and erm smog whatever its called (just down from the other one!) they were very hard to set up to start with, but using your guides... wow! results!
    this one is just what i needed! i never spotted the uniform thingie... damn that WILL be useful! 😊 and as (thanks to another of your vids!) i can "force" them to work where i want that helps tons! 😊
    i suppose thats the prob with not having a manual lol all those diddy little things you miss! at least you took the time to actually "document" (via vid) these things! that has made the game more fun! (only been playing a week on my xbox! lol love this game, and you improved it! 😊)

    As you don’t use Diagnostic nurses, are your wards set to treatment only? Or do you still have both diagnosis and treatment for the general wards?

    • @Pinstar
      @Pinstar  4 роки тому +4

      My wards are set for treatment and diagnosis, but the ward skill gives them a bonus to both. The ward and the psych room are important early game rooms for follow-up diagnosis when your hospital isn't wealthy enough to afford an X-ray or MEGA scan room and the radiologists needed to staff them. By the time you start getting illnesses that are too tough for your ward/psych room to diagnose you'll be wealthy enough to afford the advanced diagnostics, letting you skip the three diagnosis nurse rooms and thus skip training any diagnosis specialized nurses.

    Are you planning a video for Janitors? I'm not sure whether there is any point in directing them to only do specific jobs or leaving them all multi purpose. What I'd really like is to set them one job as a priority but to do others when that job is unavailable but I'm pretty sure there is no way to do that. It is just annoying to have a ghostbuster idle if there are no ghosts or stuck doing a different job when ghosts are around (for example).

    • @Pinstar

      I'm going to do one of these styles of video on each of the 4 types of employees, so Janitors will absolutely be among them.

    Hi pinstar! Thanks for another great video. I wanted noticed that you assigned the treatment nurses to all of the treatment rooms. Do you find when you do this that they are running all around the hospital to get to their rooms My strategy at the moment is to assign nurses to specific treatment rooms in 1 building.

    • @Pinstar
      @Pinstar  4 роки тому

      That... logically makes a lot of sense. I'd need to do some testing to see how much time you save doing that. The downside is what do you do about the +1? If you have 1 more treatment nurse than you need breaks/training is easily covered regardless of which room its from. If you divvy them up by building, do you keep a +1 per building?

    • @ItsKatKool
      @ItsKatKool 4 роки тому +3

      @@Pinstar It might not work for every hospital. I just got 3 stars on Pelican Wharf with this strategy. Building A has a chromatherapy, cryptology and clown clinic. Building B has the pharmacy/injection rooms. I group the nurses according to which building they would work in. I only have 3 nurses for building A because those rooms are not used all the time in this specific hospital.

    I like the Cardio and Fluid rooms, they're cheap, they're small, nurses are cheap, the animations are fast and they get a lot of bonuses to mid difficulty illnesses sending them quickly to cure for the big bucks. Personal I never use Xray since MEGA does 90% what Xray does and the other 10% is covered by DNA, Psy, Ward, Cardio or Fluid. General Diag is pointless though.

    • @Pinstar
      @Pinstar  4 роки тому +7

      I do both because the radiologist/diagnosis skills work in both and once a patient has been to a diagnosis room if they need more diagnostics they need to to a different type, which the x-ray provides. In the early game, I let my ward and psych rooms help with diagnosis since I have to build them anyway to treat ward/psych illnesses and the room specific skills for them boost both diagnostic and treatment.

      I'm glad you're enjoying the videos! Backups for when they go on break are exactly why I normally employ 1 more nurse for each category than I need overall. If a nurse needs to go on break or leave for training, there is a good chance there is an idle nurse of that type that can step in and take over.

    Hey man, I bought the game on PS4 about a week ago and has been watching basically all your videos for this game and I have to say that they are pretty good and helpful. So that. But I’ve been watching this video and I had to comment because it bugs me that you don’t use diagnostics nurse. I get I’m frustrated cause If what you say is true, I’ve been wasting so much time in those ... anyway, I get the point, X ray and Mega scan will fill in for General Diagnosis and Cardiology ( I never use the fluid analysis), but isn’t that longer ? The time for one patient in X ray or Mega scan is wayyy longer than the other two no? I’m on the level at the top of the island we’re patients come in waves, and I could certainly not afford the time to send my patients for mega scan or else...anyway thanks, the tip to have different color for your doctor is very helpful 👍

    • @Pinstar
      @Pinstar  4 роки тому +2

      There is nothing fundamentally wrong with diagnosis nurses or their rooms. I think they're a bit unoptimal personally, but you can absolutely have a well-run, large and profitable hospital with those rooms and nurses included. I merely presented this tip as an alternative strategy for those who might not have thought it possible to completely skip a whole trio of rooms and class of employee. It isn't without its drawbacks. You're going to make "friends" with lycanthropy in the early game if your map has it and you'll frequently find your psych rooms overflowing as they diagnose patients very slowly so there is some adjustment to your early game builds and training regimens that you need to do in order to successfully make the jump from psych/ward to x-ray/MEGA.
      Give it a try and see if it feels right for your playstyle :)
      I wish you luck!
