There are people who play like this trying to min/max everything and in an efficient manner. Then there is me, who prioritize aesthetics and realism over function.
I’m the same. I like to build nice looking rooms that make sense. I will do some min maxing at the very start of a level but won’t keep it like that for long. I’m still new to the game tho. Could I ask: if you do build without filling the room to max it out can you still have an awesome 3 star hospital and make decent money?
Oh man i love that “fast track treatment” option! I kept having to build like 5-6 GP rooms for bigger hospitals and it felt crazy. That’ll be way faster skipping that step
Thank you so much. I learned some new things and when I tried it out the game was easier. I was starting to feel defeated by this game with always losing money, but with your help I was reeling in all the cash and it felt great to have a successful hospital.
Once you've started turning a profit and can afford more staff & training, would you still just stick to ward-only diagnosis? Or would you branch out and build different types?
If you only diagnose in the ward, the patients will go back to GP if they have a difficult illness (even with good staff) due to not meeting the diagnosis threshold. Every illness has a preference for a certain diagnosis room type. Animal Magnetism will diagnose much better in Cardio or DNA than it would in the Ward. Bed Face would diagnose well in anything except Psychiatry. The ward is good for getting started with a new hospital for the ability to process multiple patients. You will clog up GP later on with difficult illnesses. Getting sent back and forth to GP until they meet the diagnosis threshold is going have a negative effect for new patients (long queue times). You will get the message that diagnosis has been exhausted and new rooms should be built.
Imo, TPH is one of the best games out there, but Prison Architect looks like a lot of fun too! I actually already bought it at the last sale, but I haven't had a chance to play yet. :)
@mystery8guy - Not sure if you've found it yet, but if you click into to menu like you were going to add a room then tab over to the 'Overview' and click into that menu, 'Policy' menu is one of the options in there.
First of all: I love the Bullfrog Theme Hospital. and I'am trying to love this game as much, but, the QoL stuff that is lacking (why did we get the copy / save function for rooms this late? Or why do you have to click every single patient that you want to kick out 2 times in the menu, that are apart like.... the opposite site of the screen?...) 0:10 "the developers did such a good job with it" 3:48 "just the ward.... forget the other 10 rooms for diagnosis" 2:12 "just guess the diagnosis, live or die.. we will see, you pay anyways, we don't have time for our patients" weeeeeell I know, it works, the hospital is running great. I am struggleing with the smogley hospital mission (which you did a rehab video) so I was looking for tipps. I am getting way to many patiens and my Reputation is nearly all the time at 100..... but I don't even trying, i have a toilet and some heaters and banks to sit on.... thats enough to get a reputation of "the best hospital" I (sadly) can't agree.... The devs aren't doing a great job here =( I want to build a big hospital where I have the possibility to diagnose and cure everyone.... not some Roller Coaster Tycoon alike game, where I am flooded with patiens, that have a 50% chance to die, if I can't kick them out fast enough =(
How do you train staff and also how can I know or make 2 nurse only focus on the ward, I try to pick them up and drop them into it and they just leave and I had 8 ppl in line
This goes against so many other tips videos I’ve seen, but this makes the most sense to me. I do wonder if the Ward Only strategy detracts from the point of the game. Which seems a flaw in the game design. I mean… so many unused rooms…
Yes, I think the game is poorly balanced. Specially that golden star thingy is so OP. I limit myself to only one per room to keep the game more challenging, but sometimes is hard to resist lol
"Let's say your hospital is getting several patients with Touch of Midas, one of the hardest illnesses to diagnose and treat. If you don't have a DNA Lab, the patient will cycle through your diagnosis rooms and GP's Offices over and over again, until it gets a 100% diagnosis. This means having a DNA Lab would improve the rate at which patients are diagnosed by a very significant amount. And the same is true for every other illness and its correspondent "best" room."
Alive or Dead, it doesn't matter as long as they are happy and they pay...oh and double your costs... even in a video game i can't bring myself to be that ethically bankrupt ;) thanks for the tips!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE turn off the music when you are speaking. Not only annoying but I can’t hear everything you say 🤷♂️ Good content though, thank you. 👍

I respect this
I try to make a flow in the hospital but when it comes to prestige every room is getting sonic posters on every inch of the wall 😂

Right?!
i just started playing 2 days ago. i love the game and the dev.
the first game that got me into this game was theme hospital. i loved it to bits.
Oh man i love that “fast track treatment” option! I kept having to build like 5-6 GP rooms for bigger hospitals and it felt crazy. That’ll be way faster skipping that step
Thank you this really helped save a failing hospital of mine!

This is fantastic help, gonna try these tips!
Interesting but takes the fun or if the game. I like to decorate so it’s aesthetically pleasing 👍
Oh wow! I just started playing this game and this video was SO hopeful! You really explained everything in a concise and clear way

Music too much load, I cant hear you clearly
Loved the tips! Music a tad too loud though.
Thank you! I came back to the game this month, I'm having a hard time, this tipz will help :)
This was really helpful thank you
What are the other diagnostic rooms we should avoid?
I have to check this game out, looks awesome. You would probably enjoy Prison Architect.
Imo, TPH is one of the best games out there, but Prison Architect looks like a lot of fun too! I actually already bought it at the last sale, but I haven't had a chance to play yet. :)
interesting, i didnt realize the ward was a diagnosis and treatment room
I am not getting hospital policies under finance section, what to do?
Very helpful tips!
Thanks for the awesome tips!!!! 👍but pleeeease turn that background music off on your video 🤦♀️
I think i am missing the "hospital policy " part in the game. . Iv searched everywhere n cant find it

@@aphonia0714 It wasnt there, I needed to update the game, once i updated it, i found it. Thank for the help though.
I play on switch how can I get to nurses to work in the ward at once?

It comes in waves, one point you'll have everyone at gp's then it's bottlenecks somewhere else, but over time it adapts
How do you train staff and also how can I know or make 2 nurse only focus on the ward, I try to pick them up and drop them into it and they just leave and I had 8 ppl in line
You click the staff u want then ; theres option "job list" . You disable all job u didnt want n just keep ward icon
All the way you will unlock some room until you unclock training room
The music is too loud it's hard to hear what you say.
This goes against so many other tips videos I’ve seen, but this makes the most sense to me.

sadly this hit too close for those who have experienced U.S health care system....
I've been thinking of replaying this game again. It has quite a few DLCs since it came out 🤔 I didn't know you can edit Hospital Policy 😬
You should, its so much fun! And the DLCs are priced pretty reasonably. I'm still working through them myself.
you are awesome
I know Im late to this video but that background music....code pink.
I need so much help with this game
Put your price up every time the game say you got a new illnesses, won't run out of money, make things a lot easier
Any idea how to hire 2 nurses in 1 ward?
Press on the ward and in the right-hand window, you can add additional nurses.
Thanx for the tips!
soon two point campus is coming out not to sure when? PS for the west
I played similar game on ps 1 😊😋
do u mean theme hospital? i thought they just make a remake and change the tittle
