William Gaminara is back. It is like seeing a good friend after years of absence. My husband passed by on the verandah while I was trying to listen to the previous book, stood still, shook his head and asked: 'Darling, is it a new guy reading your story? I really think the other guy was better at it.' Indeed...
Why would anyone give a thumbs down? Listening to the great books of SHARPE are FREE. Enjoy it. If you don't like the books of SHARPE, simply don't listen to them. I am an American retired Marine Combat Infantry Officer. I find these books very detailed to life in the British Army and in particular to the Geography of Europe when I was stationed with NATO, and other assorted based in Europe.
Three cheers for the return of the king! I tried to buy these books on Audible, but for some mysterious reason Mr. Gaminara’s versions are not available. A gross injustice!
So true- Kenneth Williams! Oooooo-errrr!!! I wonder why WG didn’t narrate that story and I further wonder why on Earth that fellow would be chosen as a replacement?!
Sharpe now appears to have been educated at a minor english public school....... I certainly cant believe in him any more raised in an orphanage in london (or yorkshire, depending on which version of Cornwell's you prefer) sounding like a toff? Its getting really confusing. Shoddy writing. Doesnt seem to give a shite for continuity. 😮😮
YAAAAYYYYY WILLIAM GAMINARA IS BACK!!!!! Yay!! I can listen without cringing 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I couldn’t take any of the Irish characters seriously in sharps honour with the Terible squeaky voices
And even better, the return of Sir Henry Simmerson!
@@charlesdurham427 you're right though, Gaminara is the voice for Sharpe . He's got the range for all the characters .
@@johnw218 yes he gets Bernard Cornwell’s sharp right, I feel like the other narrator’s are giving us Sean Beans sharp and they are very different...
@@charlesdurham427 Yeah... or those dreadful, simpering attempts at Spanish & female voices that Frederick Davidson did. Truly awful.
The "I'll not cry sir" hit hard, missed you William.

God save Ireland and God save William Gaminara!
Glad we the good narrator again. The last one totally ruined the touching bromance moments with sharpe and harper
No doubt
Sharpe's audiobooks doesn't work without WG!! 👏👏👏
😅😅

Gaminara has the best voice for these books
Oh thank God!!!! William G!!! God save Ireland 🇮🇪!
Hell yeah the man is back
I still can't help but be somewhat scared that Harps may die... Surely no.... But 🤷🤷 And I too agree this is THE narrator.
Thank goodness WG is back!
Ditto .. Missed him greatly..

Your the best
It's too bad they don't make more of the sharps series movies
Its not the same listening to anyone else doing the narration but William.

Billy G is THE voice of sharpe. All others pale in comparison.
I understand the former narrator has been contracted to do the voice of Doctor Smith in a new Lost in Space cartoon. No calamity there.
Talk about type casting!
the voice reading book 16 was just terrible he sounded like the guy off the old carry on laughing films
OOO MATRON...that guy
So true- Kenneth Williams! Oooooo-errrr!!! I wonder why WG didn’t narrate that story and I further wonder why on Earth that fellow would be chosen as a replacement?!
Oh man, you two are right. I gave it 30 min. And NEXT please. It was so odd.
Ahh Sweet William

To all the moaning 🔔 ends. It’s a story. It doesn’t matter whom reads it. It’s free! I’ve enjoyed everyone of them.
Wrong
@ well buy it then? You just like moaning! So I’m right and you’re wrong.
