- Are your sneakers a little run down and need a freshen up? Whether they show a little wear and tear or are straight up beaters, there's hope.
Follow along with Ves as he shows us some simple and effective techniques to restore the uppers, midsoles and soles of these classic sneakers.
This video demonstrates a basic restoration process from a quick cleaning, a simple repaint and how to get rid of yellowed soles. Not only do the kicks look good but thanks to Angelus Deodorizer they also smell fresh.

you can buy finishers in spray cans at any art store and they work basically the same
Just go to walmart and get Krylon matte finish. That's what most people use.

I need help whether to decide which type of paint to get.
I want to paint the fabric layer of my air max 90 in black. Should I use leather dye or leather paint, I don’t want to shoes to crack or look bad so which one should I use?
When you are working with that Fabric material you can mix our paint with our Angelus 2-soft fabric medium. Mixing the 2 will help the paint adhere on that type of fabric materials. When he was touching up the uppers, from the scuffs and scratches, what paint was he using? Still the mixture of 50-50 flat white and 2 soft?
The uppers do not require 2 Soft. As long as the area is prepped properly with acetone our Leather Preparer and Deglazer then you may apply just the paint to the leather uppers.
Can you do this with all star 6s
what temp you have heat gun. I did my Jordan's and the glue on my sneakers separated
@Angelus how would you care for the cloth on the tongue?
We have a few cleaners that may work well on the cloth. We really like the Foam Tex or our Easy Cleaner. Both will work well and may just depend on your preference.

Great work! This has been peaking my interest . I want to get into customizing for my 10 year old son. Know with my limited knowledge , wouldn't it be best to bleach the soles before any painting. Obviously you made it work. But it seems like you're risking your work by relying on the tape to keep the sole bright from a mistake. Just my thoughts. Still great work

I have 1 messed up shoe and i wanna repaint it would you be able to tell the difference in the infared 2014 and the original paint or should you just repaint both?
The paint should be identical to the original. It's basically up to you and the condition of the other shoe.

Okay so at 8:16 the part that is taped up on the back heel is yellowish on my shoe. Not sure the type of material that part of the shoe is but it’s also the same all the way around to the front. I was curious if there was a way to make it unyellow? Or do I have to paint them back to white?

Yeah after doing some proper cleaning if the stains are not gone then painting over would be the next step.

Did you use the same white paint mix with the 2 soft to paint the uppers or did you paint the uppers without the 2 soft mix?
2-soft is only used on fabric. So he used straight paint on the leather and mid-soles.
how do i paint the back sole white? used angelus white and some 2 thin and it didnt come out smooth

Can a pair of shoes be too dirty to bring DS look back ? I've tried lots of different shoe cleaner. Don't work like they say?

Is there a sealer you would recommend for a matte/factory finish that you would recommend? As a final step after the finisher
Honestly that seems like overkill. If you prep the shoe correctly and apply light coats of paint then the paint alone will be durable safe. For extra protection and to give the custom a nice matte finish then we suggest our Matte finisher. Shake the bottle well and apply 1-2 really light coats. Besides that, you should be good to go.

Can you guys do a sport blue 6 ? I’m really struggling making the sport blue color. I have bout every shade of blue angelus has and can not get even close to the sport blue color. Also, i bought the new angelus paint brushes and i love them . They so easy to clean
Hi there. Happy to hear the brushes are working out for you. Although we do not have that exact color, we find that a mixture of Royal, Navy Blue, & White will get you close to the Sport Blue 6. Hope this helps!

Don't you think leather Dye would work better then paint? I dyed a pair of Pantafola Doro Sneakers that I bought online, they sent me a message saying I can keep the sneaks and there giving me a full refund because one of the shoes turned yellow. Ok I dyed them and the dye was great and soaked in where I would think paint wouldn't soak in and lay on the surface

Whats the difference of flat white & white?
White contains a bit of a shine while the "Flat" will have more of a matte look (no shine).

How do you paint the outsole without chipping? I painted a pair of Bally's and it's chipping like crazy
Michael Genova you can never paint the outsole. Unless you add a sole protector to them.

I stripped my midsole and repainted them with flat white after multiple coats and drying 24 hours the white looks like an off white color compared to the factory paint . Why is that

Any idea how to mix the paint for the infrared 23 Jordan 6's(toros)? I've tried using infrared 2014 and adding a few drops of regular infrared. I'm not having any luck
