- For this week's restoration, Vick Almighty revived these 2014 Jordan 6 'Infrared'. In 1991 the Air Jordan 6 released in five original colorways, one of which was the legendary Air Jordan 6 ‘Infrared’ sneaker. Retro releases dropped in 2000, 2010, and in 2014 to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the shoe’s initial release date. The design features an all-black perforated upper in nubuck leather with infrared accents throughout and a return to the reflective upper underlay, a detail not seen since the shoe’s original release. Vick was excited to restore these unique sneakers back to their former glory, but with a twist. He decided to make the midsole more infrared and less pink. What do you all think of this decision? This shoe was downright filthy at the start. There was dirt caked over most of the shoe and too much creasing on the toe box. Vick was able to fix this with the power of Reshoevn8r's 4-oz 3 Brush Kit. After giving the shoe a deep cleaning and fixing the toe box with Reshoevn8r's Adjustable Shoe Tree, Vick removed the yellowing on the sole using his indoor setup. Then he repainted the midsole, giving these Jordans a true 'Infrared" look. And to end the restoration Vick did some re-gluing on the upper back straps. Yo Vick! both my infrared 23 6s and black infrared 6s pull tab cracked and crumbled. Is this something common or was it with 6s that came out around this time? Because my Olympic 6s tabs are intact. 🤔

So I have some tinker 6’s and the front and back heel are yellowish was wondering how I can get rid of that yellow, not sure on the type of material, feels like plastic. Do I have to repaint them? Thanks in advance!
I have a pair with a cracked back tab. Can I use barges super stick? Or is that too thick? Even with using a toothpick?
Just a thought, I have used Salon 40 clear to bring out yellowing from clear plastic. Can you remove the Ice parts and sink them in clear solution run the uv then glue them back on. I'm just getting into this so I don't know how difficult that would be. Love watching your videos keep up the goo work!!

When you say one month to get the soles back to icey blue...does that mean reapply the solution daily/weekly? Or is that one application with prolonged UV exposure?

I love this restoration however I had a funny experience with the jumpman on the outsole turning pink from the grow light. Best to cover that during icy restoration

Used to put up restorations on niketalk and iss/solecollector; you can use baby oil on the black suede/nubuck/durabuck. It'll soften it up and get rid of that ashy look when it's dry

Looking at those 6s and the problems with the uppers, i have a problem with creases on mine aswell and especially on my flint 13s... it would be super great if you guys could give me/us a hint on fixing those kind of problems on suede or nubuc (maybe something like the iron method etc. for those materials)

I really like Vick’s content. I aspire to be this good one day. Only issue I have is there always seems to be something that he decides he could fix, but won’t. I just want to see what will be the result if he gives his all 💯 also i think Mink Oil or Suede dye could’ve helped the uppers a bit but i could easily be wrong

Hey Vick!! Huge fan here in London Ontario Canada! I have a pair of these coming...I’m 39 and just couldn’t afford the OG releases when I was younger, I’ve even bought some knock offs from the ole trusted airjordan dot cc site back in the day 😂 but my question is this...
Do you think I should leave the hot pink looking infrared the way it is or should I immediately repaint them?? Obviously they’re not cheap but I’m buying them to capture that excitement I had as a kid.

How do guys dry your shoes? In the videos it seems really fast and in my experience takes a couple days for mine to get 100% dry.
Always air dry all your shoes.
