I have a pair of og white infrared 6s and tried to sole swap with a same size 2014 sport blue 6s, but the newer midsoles just don't fit the og outsoles, I have a huge gap around the toe area that's impossible to close up with glue, so it seems the new midsoles are basically half size smaller? Anyway from you experience which model of new retro 6's fits the og the best? (I personally prefer to use og outsole) Great video and channel btw, keep up the good work!

Just so I understand, are you a size 11? Or 11.5 ? I'm a size 13, I would need a 12.5? Will I fit in a 12.5 even tho the upper will be a sz13?? Thanks and great work!

+major look Boston if u were gonna sole swap a pair of 2000 retro 6s would u still recommend going a 1/2 size down with the donor?
I havent personally swapped my retro 6 pair yet, but in my community, everyone recommends using the same size donor. Hope that helps!

I've been looking to soleswap some OG cardinal VII's but there's not much info out there. I saw on your instagram you've successful swapped a pair of Hares. I hear modern VII midsoles don't line up properly on original pairs. How did they fit on yours and what size donor did you use? Love to hear some insight on this.
man I started using FLT Club 91's, went through three pairs trying to extract the midsoles and I finally gave up and used a beat up reissue retro 6 as the donor and man is it easier to use a little more expensive but it's worth it.

Hey great video! So i did a soleswap on a pair of black/infrared 6s from 2000 in US10.5 for the replacement midsole i took a piston jordan 6 also in US10.5 but it did not run perfectly the donor was a little too small... I made it work somehow but i'm wondering if this was a coincident or if 6s from 2000 are known to fit bigger.
I have the chance to buy another pair from 2000 which is DS and comes with the retrocard and everything but this time i want the restiration to be perfect since it's my favorite sneaker! so should i buy a replacement midsole that is a half size bigger or go tts?

Super late response, and you probably have the soles swapped by now, but if not; try using 2015 AJ6 Infrared Lows. I recently used the bottom sole for my ‘00 Black Infrareds as well, and they were spot on. All I had to do was just repaint and glue.

Man so I got a question. I tried icing out the soles of my 6s with sole bright from angelus and I'm pretty sure I stretched the soles out from leaving them in the sun too long or something is there a way to shrink them?

I always have this problem and end up cutting up the bottoms and gluing what's possible and I adding the white stuff you add to Windows and stuff to fill up the parts i cut so rocks and dirt don't go in

It looks nice, but the soles and midsole look outta place on that shoe, still looks nice
I know a lot of people worship OGs but this seems so pointless. Something about a fresh clean new pair of Jordans is what I rather have than the feeling of wearing a beat pair of OGs...I'm 35 so yes I have owned pretty much every OG color way AJ from 3-23. I would take a new retro over a beat yellowed OG any day of the week
People have priorities for that Nike Swoosh in the back for example... people who restore shoes I respect.
