Great restoration bro! I’m currently in the process of customizing the red Oreo Jordan 6s by turning them into the white infra red 6’s and i’m almost done. I need some recommendations on the best approach (or paint) to use in order to color the inside black and for it to not run. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.
We have a few cleaners that may work well on the cloth. We really like the Foam Tex or our Easy Cleaner. Honestly that seems like overkill. If you prep the shoe correctly and apply light coats of paint then the paint alone will be durable safe. For extra protection and to give the custom a nice matte finish then we suggest our Matte finisher. Shake the bottle well and apply 1-2 really light coats. Besides that, you should be good to go.
No, 2 Soft is used when painting on fabric materials such as canvas, mesh, cotton, denim and so on. 2 Soft or any other additive is not necessary when painting on leather. If you have any more questions feel free to contact us at Info@angelusshoepolish.com
The uppers do not require 2 Soft. As long as the area is prepped properly with acetone our Leather Preparer and Deglazer then you may apply just the paint to the leather uppers.
Great work! This has been peaking my interest . I want to get into customizing for my 10 year old son. Know with my limited knowledge , wouldn't it be best to bleach the soles before any painting. Obviously you made it work. But it seems like you're risking your work by relying on the tape to keep the sole bright from a mistake. Just my thoughts. Still great work

Can you guys do a sport blue 6 ? I’m really struggling making the sport blue color. I have bout every shade of blue angelus has and can not get even close to the sport blue color. Also, i bought the new angelus paint brushes and i love them . They so easy to clean

Okay so at 8:16 the part that is taped up on the back heel is yellowish on my shoe. Not sure the type of material that part of the shoe is but it’s also the same all the way around to the front. I was curious if there was a way to make it unyellow? Or do I have to paint them back to white?

I stripped my midsole and repainted them with flat white after multiple coats and drying 24 hours the white looks like an off white color compared to the factory paint . Why is that

Don't you think leather Dye would work better then paint? I dyed a pair of Pantafola Doro Sneakers that I bought online, they sent me a message saying I can keep the sneaks and there giving me a full refund because one of the shoes turned yellow. Ok I dyed them and the dye was great and soaked in where I would think paint wouldn't soak in and lay on the surface

Any idea how to mix the paint for the infrared 23 Jordan 6's(toros)? I've tried using infrared 2014 and adding a few drops of regular infrared. I'm not having any luck

you can buy finishers in spray cans at any art store and they work basically the same
Just go to walmart and get Krylon matte finish. That's what most people use.

I just got some to cover over a stain in part of a shoe will that work?
Yeah after doing some proper cleaning if the stains are not gone then painting over would be the next step.
