Cool series some things I noticed and think would help make it more legit and better in the future.
1. The video quality still wasn't very good. 2. You should of ran times of each rider on each machine and averaged the best. One way to stop cheating is awarding the fastest riders. 3. To get accurate times especially with that little bit of difference you need to use transponders. 4. Go to an actual track to do the "track" test. Those woops were laughable and mx tracks don't have woops. The jumps were literally death traps being short steep singles on a straight.
All in all it was nice to see you guys invest in the series.

We have learned so much from all this and want to keep going forward and making the best content we can in the future so thank you so much for the notes! This series was kind of a test to see how it would be received so keeping things low at cost at first I think was a good move. That being said there is so much room for this to grow we will havecto throw some money at it to do it right! Thanks again! 🤙
@@BrewerOffroad I can only imagine what all you guys have learned. You're welcome for the notes mainly my opinion and you know how those are. I totally understand the test and keeping it low cost that's smart. If it goes good and you do throw money at it I can see more people watching for sure. I don't know if that will work out better in the total scheme but only one way to find out. ✌

There is no need. Once that quad is fixed it will reign supreme. It’s literally a race built quad vs a Kawasaki and a stock YFZ lol.

Thanks guys for rekindling my desire for a racing quad again. My fear has been the entry price for new quads (still desire) but it's been years since I've been in the woods and can't justify that ticket after so long for something i may not enjoy as much as i used to. But at 3k'ish with such a great fun factor, reliability, and competitive potential it's a price I can easily justify. Thanks again!!!
KFX needs an FCI Intake box asap. Woke mine up an unbelievable amount!!! Had no issue outrunning my modded 09 yfz, 09 raptor 700, or 08 trx450r

I paid $5000 for my 2014 450r and all I did was adjust the carb for an air box mod and she’s perfect. $3000 and I don’t trust either of them

Watched the whole thing. I really enjoyed it. Pete was the first channel I started watching about 5 months ago and actually went out and bought a 350 Raptor. I'm 50 years old and didn't want to start out after being off a quad for 30 plus years on something super fast, so the little raptor is a good starting point for me. I have now joined all your UA-cam channels and thoroughly enjoy them and hopefully Brewer gets to be involved in the next challenge if you have another one in the future

@@natedog1619 it would have blown up. The ltr are the worst quad on the market and really the kfx isn’t much better. The only benefits to the ltr over the two is a little bigger after markets Honda Yamaha and ktm have the aftermarket and stock reliability. Ltr can be quick but the few I’ve been around always seemed to be broken more than not
@@dakotadickens3747 my LTR ran for 5 seasons of MX and free riding, I sold it and it ran for years later WTF are you talking about? LTR is the most bulletproof quad ever made aside from EFI issues that some rarely encounter
I know that sounds blind and biased but I’ve owned them all, the LTR is king and I’d trade my 21 YFZR for a brand new 08 LTR on the spot
@@natedog1619 you must have never ran it hard. Because ever ltr that has came through out friend group has been blown up within 6 months of riding 😂 but the Honda’s and Yamahas always seem to do fine. Also strange that there are a lot more Honda’s floating around still even when production stopped and the after market for Honda and Yamaha os still rocking but the ltr support slowed way down. I wouldn’t give someone $500 for a ltr in nearly perfect condition

I'm glad you're doing this to show people the power of the KFX because I've been trying to get that point across but also one thing I did notice is that you have to stock intake on if you would have had and fuel Customs intake or even a Suzuki LTR 450 intake you would have smoked them on the drag race I did that and I got six horsepower out of my quad
Fci, power commander and exhaust and those Kfx450r’s are mental 🤪

Dude I swear it gets better and better after each video. Production was killer on this one. I can’t imagine the work that went into it. It was for sure worth it. Was entertaining as hell man. Loved it hope for more to come in the future!
I will say that was a good series for the first year of it and hopefully more series to follow I really enjoyed it I do hope you guys do like a before and after top quad or redo the test you did after the bikes are built and see if they get farther apart or not I don't know if you were going to keep the kfx or sale it but if you did it would be cool to see as fair as other top quad I think a two stroke challenge like banshee vs the R or quadzilla vs banshee or take it two stroke vs four stroke
it's really great to see these conversations and comparisons and perspectives on new versus used and what components are real contributions to ride quality

So the original plan was to have Pete and I ride each quad for the challenges to make it solely machine based but the day of we felt it made it more interesting to have it strictly JST vs Sabo. As builders and riders. I think it would be interesting to see them build two MX machines and have Joel hetrick ride them and decide which is best. Or GNCC machines and have Adam McGill or Hunter Hart ride them.
@@travisj6473 that’s why they ran with the YFZ450 as well. Hard to sandbag with a 3rd party in the race.
I have an 08 KFX450r too, it has a high compression piston and a FMF header, it’s pretty fast but I never noticed it being scary at speed lol, I just figured that’s how 450s were 😂

It is such a cool idea/channel. Been riding quads for 20 years and I was there for the ride to the top of the sports peak and the crushing collapse in 2010. If I knew how to make vids I would really like to start putting out quad content. Couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw how many views this has! Keep it going boys we bringin em back!

Fun series guys. I’ve got 5 quads for the whole fam, and all but one I got for around $2000. It’s a big effort to keep them running, but for a family of 4 buying used makes it so much easier to get into the sport. Couldn’t do that buying them new at 9 large each!

Stumbled upon this video trying to find out what kind of motor was in this Blaster I just bought....it's way faster than the 250 that's supposed to be in it...and this show is spectacular. Pete makes a good point about buying new. I bought a 2005 raptor 350 new. It still runs like new and even has the original clutch. I have a heavy duty tusk clutch ready to install but I just haven't needed to. If you know how to maintain your machines, a brand new machine can last you decades. All my other machines have been used and I rarely keep them for longer than 3-4 years but I just can't sell my raptor 350 just because of how great it runs.
