TH350 Transmission Won't Manually Shift Into 1st Gear? Easy Fix | Turbo350 TH350 Shifter Adjust Ep5

After scratching my head under the car staring at the linkage below, I did some searching and found the staple/horseshoe shifters actually have adjustment! I hope this video finds those struggling with the stupid inconvenience and may all the burnouts be the result of this simple fix.

You can reach the adjustment bolts without removing the console. Just remove the gear indicator plate under the shifter handle and reach in with a ½" combination wrench.

Man this video saved my ass. Had my ‘68 Camaro up on jack stands ready to get under and do something stupid. Loose bolt to the shifter was my exact problem. But mine was opposite. Couldn’t get to park.
