Solid tips. Most important is having a "reference point" as to where you firearm is exactly. Now people will say "How can you not know where your gun is"? Not quite the point. I carry 90% of the time at 3:00. My reference is my arm tells me exactly where I will reach for if a bad situation arises. Now, everyone will pick a different holster. They will carry differently regarding cant, ride height, etc. Personally, I refuse to endorse appendix carry, but will NOT brow beat those who like this method. In the car I usually carry in a dashboard compartment very readily accessable!
Holster are like shoes, lol. My holster which is best for me probably won't be best for you.
For new Conceal Carry folks you will go nuts buying holsters until you find what really meets the critera for you. It can be costly!
Gun folks are like boating people very friendly and usually willing to help a new shooter if you ask politely. Then research, and research, and when you are done research some more! When you find your holster and the sweet spot to carry it with and UNLOADED firearm practice deploying the firearm!
NOW, my suggestion is simple. UNLOAD your firearm in ONE ROOM LEAVE THE AMMO THERE AND PRACTICE IN ANOTHER ROOM WHERE NO AMMO IS IN REACH!
    Be well, Be SAFE!

Excellent video! Thank you so much for posting this common sense advice. There's so much hype and rah rah nonsense out there, it's refreshing to watch a video like this.
For me, a Remora Concealment Holster with the reinforced top and owb options, carried at approximately 2 O'clock seems to work best. I carry a J Frame Smith and Wesson 442 or sometimes a Rock Island Armory m 206, both of which are easier to conceal than most semi-auto pistols, even owb, because of their shape, and I find that anywhere on my body clock between appendix and 3 O'clock provides the best combination of accessability, concealment, comfort, and security. I've tried several different types and brands of holsters over the years, and for me, the Remora seems to work the best.

Glad I saw this video. I’m looking for my first purchase, and was thinking a right handed kidney carry would be with a left handed holster.

I enjoy the laid back approach to most of the livestreams--feels like I'm getting to know you as individuals, like I'm coming in the store to visit. However--please keep doing more of these short, to the point training videos. They are very worthwhile for beginners and more experienced shooters alike.

I agree with everything but the quick deployment. My preference is a through the belt Holster. It feel more secure to me then a clip.

Just a FYI, never buy a IWB Alien Gear holster. It’s half kydex and half synthetic. Difficult to get a full grip, doesn’t fully cover the trigger guard, and doesn’t ‘click’ when you holster it. Get a 100% kydex holster

I think comfort should be considered to some degree, not so far as to say you enjoy wearing it but enough so that you aren't going to be fiddling with it every five minutes
