THANK YOU SO MUCH STEVE !!!! I'm a newer shooter at 50. This has been so much help with the confusion of single double. Even some of my really experienced shooting friends can't fully explain the difference.

I've watched half a dozen videos on this same subject... and this is the best explanation. Particularly with the Striker Fire.
I think you did an excellent job of explaining the differences. Clear, concise and at a level where any experience level of gun owner can follow and understand. Explaining striker fired semi-autos and how that system works was the cherry on top!!!
As someone new to the sport, your vid has provided me with greater clarity on the concept of Single vs Double Action. I've read a few articles and have seen a few vids, but thus far yours has been the best. Thanks, Steve.

Excellent expository video. 👏🏻 The more people are informed about the workings of a gun, the easier the decision making process on what to buy, and how to properly use it for its intended purpose. The best gun is the one that you could safely and efficiently handle; knowledge and training are key.

I actually have received training with the single/double action Sig P226 and I couldn't understand his explanation! He tried it twice. I was so discouraged until I found your video. Thank you! I get it 100% now. You really helped me decide on the gun I want. I was struggling between the Sig and M&P Shield. I do NOT want extra steps, nor the inability to conceal. Though the Sig shoots beautifully, is well balanced, and feels perfect in my hand, I rather something that is easier to use, conceal, and is simply more comfortable all around. Plus... It costs less.

Awesome video. Clear explanation and he's speaking at a nice calm pace. Alot videos i've
seen, they talk 1,000 miles per minute. Looking to get my first gun, and i'm leaning towards a DA/SA pistol. Like the safety features and skill level to grow with. Would get a striker-fired simply for quick defense.
