Lauda Air Luftfahrt GmbH, branded as Lauda Air, was an Austrian airline headquartered at Vienna International Airport in Schwechat. It was owned by Niki Lauda during much of its existence. Low cost carriers realy opened up air travel to people despite all the bad publicity they get.
Still working my way through your vids, Steve, and happy to see you enjoyed Lauda! My favorite low cost carrier. Such a shame they went under.

Nap Cab? Brilliant idea.
There should be more, very cool! If nothing else saves a transfer to/from terminal especially if you have a flight at an unsocial hour!
@@steve-marsh I am actually choosing to spend 1 night in a similar Kapsule (like a container) but not out of necessity, or at an airport, in Warsaw city centre, this August, just for the hell of it.

Hi Steve. Love your videos and I enjoy doing exactly what you do. Went to Liverpool recently and as the train was pretty packed going there I looked for an interesting way coming back. Ended up getting a Ryanair flight from Liverpool to Knock in western Ireland then another flight to Luton, all for a total of £19.99. Bargain !

My heart aches for trips like this one, I was so excited just planning it :) Funny you mention it - we had tickets booked for Budapest last year, but you can guess what happened! Unfortunately though there was no refund so we lost out completely that time. I still have my forints though!
@@steve-marsh Nah, it did not send my answer, so: we had the same with Dublin last year (St.Patrick's), Ryanair got us f***ed but the hotel gave us a Voucher valid until 2025! Aye! .)

John Fothergill download Flightradar24 app - I’m addicted to it :) then on iPhone I can record what’s on screen. I asked them if it was ok to use and they said no problem as long as I mentioned them in the video description :)

I'm coming from the U.S. and basically none of the bags that Delta accepts will fit on easyjet or Ryanair haha :(
Quite daunting to have the safety protocols in your face the whole flight. Are they needed often?
The reason is no seat pocket for safety cards, and less cleaning for quick turnarounds - I’ve gotten used to it though. Maybe they sell more alcohol that way 😂
Now late 2022 and Michael O Leary said the days of cheap flights are over!

Oh I dunno - we've got returns to Sweden booked for midsummer for £80 return. Not bad considering time of year.
Just for curiousity how much was the whole journey? Hope to do simlar round trip from Edinburgh too after pandemic. Oh, I see, 15£ for a flight and 150£ for whole. Have never seen napcaps in the airports so far.
Yeah, it was maybe £155, but that was close enough 😂 so cheap! Really miss journeys like this! Nap cabs are good but I was broken the next day - not in there long enough

@@steve-marsh @alanlake5220 Pressure equalizer between the two hydraulic systems, due to the engines starting. Captain Joe has a video about it. I've always liked the sound too, sometimes almost sounds like a dog barking under the floor of your little Airbus 😊

Which is why my new favourite seat on the plain is 33 (or 35) C/D. Last on, first off, first in the queue, first thru passport control.

Nice to have found your channel Steve. Keep up the good standard, and the bloke next door friendly style - so try not to change and become arrogant when you get more popular as some of the other You Tube trip guys seem to be getting as they fly exclusively in 1st or Business ( no names but not Noel who I like... ).
As for Ryanair, well thanks to their appalling customer service when things go wrong and the 100% obnoxious boss of the company I can say hell would freeze over before I bought a flight off them - frankly I would rather walk than give Mr O'Leary a penny of my hard earned.

Noel is awesome, but when some of them post videos like ‘ewww I’m flying ECONOMY today’ as if they are better than that, it leads to an unsub from me!!! Thanks so much for the positive feedback, I’ll keep my feet in the ground, well, you know what I mean 😂
Legionnaire Gonk Agree 100% re ryanair as well, but the cheap flights reeled me in on this trip and it’s the only way I could afford a wee adventure :)
