    • @ImportedFromSerbia
      @ImportedFromSerbia 2 роки тому

      If they are so about carry on luggage, only small backpacks that fit under seat in front of your legs are included with ticket price then they should start charging passengers per weight either. There’s no additional fees for airlines as a extra stuff to take care of your luggage, but they obviously want you to fly almost “naked”, no weight. Yes, weight and fuel consumptions are tightly related, a married couple.

    I've used all these airlines however the one I use the most is Easyjet as they are still very good value for money and normally for the routes I want to fly they offer the best overall deal in terms of the airports they fly to and from and the fact that you get the carry on included in the standard base fare.
    My nearest major airport is Gatwick which is Easyjets largest base which helps and from there can get to most the major cities across Europe.
    I actually found the seat on Wizz Air to be quite comfortable but then the flight I did previous to that was with Vueling who have the worst leg room I have experienced. I find both with Ryanair and Easyjet the leg room is slightly better with the new seats than the old ones.
    Also might not be much but I do prefer the Airbus 320 series that Easyjet and Wizz use compared to the 737s that Ryanair use.

    I have traveled with all these three, and I have to say they are pretty equal but I would prefer easyJet first, Wizz Air second and Ryanair as third choice. easyJet is leading because they still have these comfort features like primary airport, paper boarding card, jetbridge. My nearest airport is Stockholm and Ryanair recently moved to primary airport Arlanda with a new base there, and with that they got a more professional image as they are not allowed to NOT use jetbridge or making a low cost boarding with "pre-queue in the queue". Maybe I will use Ryanair more now that they operating the Arlanda Airport.

      It’s actually to improve on time performance. A lot of flights are delayed by everyone bringing on a large hand luggage and then there doesn’t end up being enough space, resulting in cabin bags being offloaded and causing extra delays. Since this policy has come into effect, easyJet has seen a huge improvement in OTP and customer satisfaction. easyJet often gets lumped into the same category as Ryanair and Wizz due to it being a low cost airline, but actually stands separately. It flies from primary airports in all European cities, as explained in this video, and is Skytrax 4 star airline (very good) as opposed to RYR and WZZ who are 3 star (Average). Even the likes of TUI are 3 star, with only a very select few full service airlines in the east able to achieve 5 star.

      @@maxwilson5176 I think it’s easy to go straight for the “it’s a money making move” and there’s no denying that it will of course bring in extra revenue, however as someone who has first hand seen the impact this policy has made on easyJet on time performance, it is definitely working. In summer 2019 the amount of times aircraft were delayed due to the need to offload excess hand baggage into the hold (more paperwork plus resources) was very noticeable. This then results in missed slots and hence the aircraft being late, and then everyone gets mad because “easyJet are late”. You should see the size of some of the “hand luggage” people try to bring on, it’s obscene.

    A cost comparison would be interesting. Ryanair only offers you a seat and what can fit under the seat in front, which is good for a business day trip or maybe a weekend trip, but normal people take some luggage. So what is the cost of flight + overhead bag + checked bag + booking fee ( or credit card fee as they call it) + a drink + snack, of all three?
    I was abandoned by Ryanair away from home, and they were absolutly NO help at all. All the ground crew would tell me is "We don't work for Ryanair" (technically true as they were a contract company) and "It is all in your email." So all they offered was a refund (I was 2000 miles from home and needed to get home) or a reschedual to fly in two weeks time (later also cancelled and moved back another two weeks!) even though they could have re-routed me and got me home. In all I had to pay out of pocket another £400 to get my wife and I home. Compensation? Don't be daft! So in doing a comparison add on something extra to allow for that kind of event. I've flown all three and only had issues with Ryanair (more than once.) Easyjet seems to be the most "airline like."

    Nice video and for me personally I hate Ryainair the most, with exception of those flying out of Vienna as they are using Lauda and those are former Niki/Air Berlin A320s, but I hate the interior, no seat pocket is really huge downside for me, plus those new seats are so thin that you really feel every single touch and its so uncofortable, plus not serving the main airport is a huge problem as going to airport which is far away from Paris will actually mean you gonna spend so much time and extra money to get to Paris, I can live with boarding though (btw in Prague they sometimes use jetbridge), for me Easy jet is by far the best option as you can have normal carry on for which I have to pay every time anyway with Wizz Air coming in second as they do serve some main airports as well.

    One thing about jet bridges that should be mentioned is whether the airport you're flying to offers it as a service. And also remember that it's also one of the main reasons why theres delays, since both disembarking and boarding are super slow, no matter how fast crew members finish their duties before boarding the next group of passengers (not to mention passengers often dont know their seats or want to change them, which causes even slower boarding and preparation for take off)

    • @olmaBLN
      @olmaBLN Рік тому

      Yes, but passenger, who do not know seats, requests changes etc. are a problem of ALL airlines. How are jet bridges a "main reasons"? You walk, you wait... also like people taking time on the stairways, or a"proud mum" who let her 3 years old child let climb down the stairway, smiling and all others are waiting in the bus for her.
      I guess one reason also is, that Easyjet, Ryanair and Co have a strict baggage rule. How often you fly with Lufthansa etc. watching people with ONE hand laggage rule carrying two or three and people running arround and looking for free space at the luggage trails.
      Or is deciding, in the middle of the isle, to change their sweater, to put out out her book... to put it back and to switsch to her Vogue magazin... no, book AND Vogue.
      Easyjet and Ryanair crew member are very motivated to inform people to sit down first and let people through it
      And how often you have at Ryanair: Rows 1-20 front door, Rows 40-21 back door... and Louis on row 39 embarked at the front door.

    • @revs7837
      @revs7837 Рік тому +1

      @@olmaBLN working for ryanair as cabin crew. The reason why airbridges are much slower is that you only use one door rather than 2. With the door being the L1 door as well you have to watch for tipping as well so you have to stop passengers if there isn't a steady flow disembarking. Also you have to wait for the bridge to get into position rather than when you've stopped on stand you set doors to manual and deploy the stairs. When you use stairs it's also faster for specials as well as you can use the ambulift service to disembark from the rear as opposed to waiting for everyone to disembark then going through the bridge.

    Here in Switzerland I would 100% consider EasyJet to be the best LCC out of the three. It‘s the most known here and offers flights from all major airports to almost everywhere in europe. Wizz Air only offers flights from BSL and GVA. I’ve never flown with them, but from what I‘ve heard, they are really okay. Ryanair offers only two flights from BSL, which are to Dublin and Zagreb. Both of them are not necessarily the most popular destinations here.
    I think the experience deeply depends on where you live and which carrier has the best routes from there. Here it‘s definitely EasyJet, no doubt.

    I was once flying with Easy Jet with only 17 people on board of A320. It was very nice experience for me (probably the best with low-cost). Other than that I had mostly A319s almost 100% occupied and one A320neo. Until they had full size carry on I was more than happy to choose them over anything else (unless other airlines offered cheaper extra).
    I like Wizz Air for lowest fares for my destinations, for example soon I will fly BSL - BUD for less than 10 EUR. It is basically 5 times less than I pay to get to the airport. More or less comfortable cabins. At least for me (190cm) enough for 2 hours long flights.
    Ryanair is also good. I fly with them mostly from BGY, as MXP (W6, U2) is a bit further for me. If EasyJey or Wizz Air doesn't offer times, that I don't have to stay overnight and arrive 2 hours in advance (happens quite often), I fly with Ryanair. Also more or less good airline for price. And to BGY it costs me less to get than to BSL or MXP.
    I don't fly more often than 10 times a year and the trip to the airport is still enjoyable for me. So, instead of taking expensive flight from nearest ZRH, I take a bit longer ride to Milan or Basel.
    4/10 flights are actually eather Air France or KLM a year. Occasionally Alitalia (2 flight in 2020).

    WizzAir is the best middle ground in my opinion. I've never had a flight with Ryanair that was issue free - either the legroom was horrible, or the landing gave me a rapid open spine surgery, or all of the above. Add to that the horrible catering and them bugging you with lottery tickets and other bs, it makes for a pretty cheap experience. WizzAir pilots are always buttery smooth with their landings, the catering is great and even the brochures are nicer. Their legroom is superior as well, which is important when you're 6ft of above. Comparing Ryanair to WizzAir is like comparing your local bus that only runs in the city and is pretty banged up to a nice, comfortable charter bus.

    In Norway there have been a lot of focus on working conditions and salaries on board low cost air lines and that they use crews hired in a low cost country even for domestic flights in another country. Recently Wizz Air gave up their attempt to offer domestic flights in Norway when they realized tht they will be forced to pay Norwegian salaries if flying within Norway. In addition, Wizz Air are against trade unions. My understanding is that Wizz Air is very innovative when it comes to finding ways to minimize personell costs. It would be interesting to include in a comparison how they cut cost and if some of these measures are disputed.

      they did not give up because they would have to pay Norwegian wages only because the Norwegian government subsidized Norwegian and sas.A carrier operating on a commercial basis cannot afford to compete with airlines that receive government aid. - The last seven months have shown that entering Norway on a commercial basis is not financially viable when all other airlines are receiving assistance and therefore are not operating under market conditions. That is why Wizz Air has decided to move to markets where conditions are not distorted by protectionist stakeholders and where travelers can experience real competition and low fares. Payouts of crews at the level of other countries are legal because these people do not live in norway and are not in the norwegian system and the wizzair acted legally in this matter.Add to this how ugly the Norwegian government behaved to the news that the wizzair enters the Norwegian market, what words did the Norwegian prime minister say about the wizzair? These were not nice and kind words for a company that works honestly and legally.Why does Norway not boast about, for example, that at the beginning with a virus like Norwegian he started to have financial problems and was supposed to send several million pounds for salaries for pilots and crews in UK and he did not do it and the people who worked in Norwegian did not receive salary for a few months and there was nothing silence about it in the newspapers and on television, they tell you only the wizzair is bad and we are so good.Norwegian pathology
