Javed Ahmed Ghamidi is a Pakistani Muslim theologian, a Quran scholar, and an educationist. Mr. Ghamidi is a student of Maulana Amin Ahsan Islahi and Maulana Abul A’la Maududi. Why Liberals dont understand the basic fact that Secularism is anti- Islam. Islam is not limited to one's personal relation with God (like Hinduism/Christianity), but also has a political dimension and is a complete code of life.
Whoever believes that there is a guidance (Huda) more perfect than that of the Prophet of Islam (as spelled out in hadith and Quran), or that someone else's rule is better than the Prophet is a Kafir. We have our Hudud Laws from Allah SWT, and to apply Hudud laws we shall require Islamic state (Not secular State). In a secular state, it will not be allowed to take Jayiza from non-Muslims.
As Mawlana Mawdudi rightly said, that the goal of secularists was not to ameliorate tensions and divisions in multi-religious societies, but to avoid the 'restraints of morality and divine guidance' and thus eliminate all morality, ethics, or human decency from the controlling mechanisms of society.

Sir. You yourself once said that state should have no religion, that's what secularism is. Secularism means not bringing religion into politics and government affairs. It doesn't mean la deeniat or atheism on individual level. Your current statements are colliding with your old statements. I think just like many other Pakistanis, you are confused about the definition of secularism.
Pakistan was a secular country when it was created up until 1973 and society was more Islamic back then than it is today because there was tolerance, people were not being killed due to religious politics and there were no suicide bombings either. You can also compare number of blasphemy killings and honor killings of today to old numbers and you'll see that there is difference of 1:27.
Violence in the name of religion has grown 27 times since the so called "Islamization" of the country. Religion is pure and for spiritual teachings. It shouldn't be used as a tool to divide the society in politics. It looses its purpose when that happens. Last but not least, Turkey is still a secular country because it doesn't have a state religion. No state religion = secularism.
In fact, I think Turkey is now more secular than before because now it gives its citizens more freedom than it did before. First they forced women to not wear "Islamic dress" of their choice in the name of secularism but now they can wear whatever they want and can cover their heads too. In real secular countries, freedom of choice is prioritized.

Islam advocates for Religious Democracy in which Peoples consultation in forming goverment is considered a essential part but within a Islamic framework. Democracy in itself is a method for forming goverments and it is without any values , So islamic constitution provides framewok and value system to control the purely democratic method , which is based on majority rule , against violating the rights of different classes of people including minorities and the Shariah , Even political ideologies like Liberalism , socialism are Also in need of constitution to control a purely democratic process and to protect their fundemental values and beliefs from posible harm from majority rule . So Muslims political philosphers belive in Democracy with an Islamic Paradigm instead of Liberal paradigm .
