- This week, I completely gut the back half of the drivetrain to the bare frame. I decided last-minute to replace the trailing arm crossmember with an aftermarket version, so the factory stuff has to come out. I'll also be removing the shock brackets, because they will need to be replaced when I lower this beast.
Tear down is the part I like best. Good job, man.
It could be said that I like that part the most as well, since I have more project cars torn down than built up! Lolol
Can’t wait to see it go back together🎉
When header installations fight back! Those frame rivets are a PIA, but you won!👍
The fight didn't end there! I filmed this back in June, and I made (hopefully) my last mod to the headers earlier this week!
Hell yeah brother... Just picked up a 69 C10 stepside.. will be flipping the trailing arm mounts on cross member then rebolting them and welding in a 4" pipe on both sides for exhaust. Then frame step notch so I can get it to sit on the ground in rear and front will be ass low as it can with our zing frame
I did the bracket flip on my last build. I have talked myself into fully bagging this truck, so I'll also be adding a notch. Good luck with your build, it's gonna be awesome!
Thank you for quick response. Did it cause you any issues with the flip? I helped my cousin flip his and everything was great but back the every frame was a little different. Just asking what problems I can expect
None that I noticed. If you search my videos and find the one of me driving my 1950 Ford, thats what I did it on. (I grafted the back half of a 1965 Chevy pickup to the Ford frame)
Thank you much for the info. Will be looking for it.
Wanna sell the trailer arms?
I'm watch why I'm just a great guy !!
Thanks
Great work. Great video!
Thank you!
