    Joe explains the benefits this G-Comp suspension kit brings, including new truck arms and crossover, plus coil overs for ride height adjustment and performance. First comes prep. We removed the brackets, pan hard bar and factory cross member. Next, we size everything up to make sure it fits. We can eliminate mistakes now, before the coat of paint or powder coat makes it difficult. The new cross member goes on, then the truck arm brackets and arms. Next, Joe installs the Ford 9” Housing for 1967 - 72 GM Trucks goes on. Joe explains how to mockup ride height and pinion angle to figure out where the panhard bar bracket goes for welding later. Next, the panhard bar goes on with some adjustment room. Finally, Joe explains how to assemble the coil over kit that is included with the G-Comp rear suspension kit, before installing it.

    Is it possible to get a 6” drop using this kit? Maybe with different coil overs? When will you have the body on the truck so we can see how the drop looks with these kits? I’m starting to build a ‘72 swb C10 in the next few weeks.

      For anyone who had the same question I did, I just realized they sell the same suspension kit WITOUT the coilovers under part #9166072. Then you can add a 4” height coilover to get a 6” drop. If you buy the full kit with the 5” coilovers included, shown in this video, you can only get a 2”-4” drop.

    Will this kit work with the removal
    Of a leaf spring suspension on my 69c10

      We have not done any testing of this kit on a leaf spring frame, so we can't say one way or another if it will work.

    Can someone explain the trailing arm positions towards the front of truck. In this video there is 3 wholes in the adjustment, he started at bottom and then ends up in middle. He speaks to the "cams" allow you to adjust the trailing arms (front to back), but am trying to understand what moving the arms up to middle or top hole is doing. Sorry a bit of a newb and looking to understand. Thanks

    Should have made the panhard bar attach at the rh trailing arm. Eliminate the need to weld a bracket on the housing. Just my opinion.

    How do you know what your opinion angle is if you haven't measured the angle of the driveshaft at the transmission. Everyone automatically puts 2-3 degrees without knowing the reason.

      2 or 3 degrees is a factory angle for the engine ,trans combo ...look at a factory intake at the carb mount ,, it has that tilt in it

      @speedwaymotors  Рік тому +1

      Thanks! For the spring rate, 300-350 would be a good starting point.

    Do they make a kit for a c20 thks

    • @speedwaymotors
      @speedwaymotors  Рік тому

      This kit should work on a coil-spring C20. It will not work on a Longhorn as the frames are different.
