I've never been to Astoria, NY before nor have I had Greek food other than Greek yogurt. I've been missing out!!! The pastries looked amazingly delicious!!!

I should have spent more time in Astoria when I was in college. I spent loads of time in Bay Ridge Brooklyn. I have not been to NYC in years I need to get back. Seeing this video made me miss NYC in the warm weather.

Highly recommend exploring Greek food, especially for the seafood, gyro, souvlaki and more! Know that there are a lot of Greeks in Australia, especially Melbourne.
The Hungry Black Panda It does! Astoria is the spot for Greek culture and most of the diners are Greek-owned. Even the classic coffee cups here have a Greek design on the outside. Definitely recommend Astoria whenever you visit NYC

I remember the Greek music that you have in your video too and yes...the food....the food is the best when you're there. I never found any greek food as good in other European restaurants. Thank you so much! Crete is an amazing island - favorite I’ve been to so far. The food there is so fresh and tasty. Flavorful without behind so heavy (mostly). They do a nice job here in Queens, but you just can’t compete with freshly caught seafood from the Mediterranean or Aegean!
Wow 130 languages in that area. It's definitely diverse. I have a relative who lives in New York and talked about the diversity there. I have yet to go.

Melbourne Australia has the largest creek community in the world outside of Greece. You need to get down here and try some of food. The Souv as we like call them is on many people's late night menu as a snack on the way home from a night out

It is really good, especially in warm weather! That’s too bad you don’t have those options close by anymore, but definitely recommend stopping in Astoria when you’re in NYC. It is THE place for Greek food

GoYvon It is! Even beyond Astoria, you can see the influence but here is the biggest. The lamb souvlaki is great! They do use olive oil a lot

That cappuccino looks delicious, I love a pinch of cinnamon with espresso. Greek food is so delicious, I used to live near a place and go all the time but now I don't have any options and I miss it! I'll have to stop in this area when I visit NYC next!
It is really good, especially in warm weather! That’s too bad you don’t have those options close by anymore, but definitely recommend stopping in Astoria when you’re in NYC. It is THE place for Greek food

The biggest Greek community outside of Greece is in Melbourne, Australia. NOT in New York. Not even close.
