“Form now”
I listen to this song 100 times a year at least and it's always a different experience.
The man, the legend Eddie Vedder. The last man standing from my generation when it comes to grunge music. RIP all the singers we've lost along the way. 😢
🌺🌺🌺
This man poured his entire soul into this vocal delivery
Yes,you can tell he really expirienced the pain
🥰🥰🥰
Best live performance ever… period
They broke the mold after Eddie. He is a gem. What an amazing empathetic man. He is a brilliant songwriter and singer. Writes music that helps us get through the good and bad times. Seeing them live is a life changing experience ❤
I love his and Chris Cornells song Hunger Strike. Proceeds went to charity to feed ppl in need
and in September Pearl Jam gone have 2 concerts in my city 😃

In the early 90s, four bands emerged from the obscure Seattle underground, and took the world by storm. They were:
Alice In Chains
Nirvana
Pearl Jam
Sound Garden
Collectively, they were known as “grunge.”
Please check out all four of these amazing groups.
Thanks so much Mr. Ron Bob for sharing💕
Stone Temple Pilots aswell but weren't as big.
@@Dorian.Dubois
Yes. But they were from California. And only adopted the grunge sound temporarily.
(Their Vaseline may be one of my all time favorite songs.)
@@Dorian.Dubois I was gonna say make it 5 STP
California also sporned L7 so I'll let them join in 🤘
30 years of listening to this song. It gets me every time. EVERY time. Just timeless
🥰🥰🥰
He get’s my heart every time with this performance.

If a singer can make you feel their words they have done their job well.

@@AaliyahCapili love you
I know someday you’ll have a beautiful life, I know you’ll be a star, in somebody’s else’s sky, but why, why, why can’t it be, can’t it be in mine.
Pure agonizing poetry!
Thanks for sharing🌺🌺🌺
I love how animated he is when he sings. A joy to watch as well as listen. Such a handsome photogenic guy too.

This era of music was quite memorable. Bands like Pearl Jam rose to the top. And something else I’ve realized in hindsight, is that lower voices like Eddie’s became more prominent in rock during that period. Otherwise, I’ve read some interviews with Eddie. He came across as very guarded and intense, but also conveying some greatly admirable notions of artistry and deep personal convictions. This is nothing if not a very heartfelt performance.
Thanks so much Mr. Matthew for sharing
Great reaction. I think your next reaction should be "Alive" by Pearl Jam.
Thanks for sharing Mr. Gabriel
MTV unplugged is the one gift MTV left the world.
They gave so many iconic bands at the time this outlet, and it let to some of the most iconic live concerts.
Thinking of what MTV have become, with all the nonsense they do know. Its important to remember that once upon a time they where the only place that gave a platform for these bands to do this, and for the young listeners to interact with it in that way.
And the MTV Unplugged shows are legendary now, all because of what MTV used to be.
Thanks so much for sharinh Mr. Matti
All true.
The problem with MTV is that all the cool kids grew up, and younger generations with no appreciation great music took over, then tycoon reality tv producers did the rest so sad.
So Old School i'm was like dad!!!!!!..tnx
🥰
Amazing breakup - heartbreak song. Still resonates with me years later. Eddie has an amazing voice, glad to see you take this on...hoping you pay attention to the lyrics as well.
Thanks so much for sharing and for your feedback too💕
Ive always been obsessed with his voice. Absolutely gorgeous ❤❤❤
🥰
This whole unplugged show was awesome. One of my favourite Pearl Jam sessions. Thanks for this, brings back happy memories!
Thanks so much for watching🌺
Nice reaction..the day that this performance was filmed, Eddie, the singer had the flu which made his voice a little strained..you should check out more Pearl Jam and listen to him at full health!

Nice reaction/review Aaliyah...Huge PJ fan then and now. Saw this when it premiered on MTV and have been to near 30 shows now, including 4 on the last tour. Definitely worth checking out when they tour in 2024/5! One of the all time greatest bands! One interesting note about this vocal performance... he had a cold when doing this. :)
Thanks for sharing💕
breaking it down with the sweetest heart a girl can have, but she knows the sound and will learn the meaning, very nice video

I'm really enjoying your reactions - your smile is heartwarming and it gives me a lift - i'm glad you are doing some 90's grunge - i hope that you put Alice in Chains (vocalist Layne Staley) - LIVE AT THE MOORE"S - SONG is LOVE HATE LOVE. Fantastic vocals. Hope it makes your list. Thanks for posting this one.
Thanks so much Mr. Jedd, its definitely on my list🥰
Wie gut. Bleib bitte so normal und bezaubernd. Great Video. LG aus Munic, Germany Love this song and the band.
Thanks so much and greetings too🥰
You should really check out Matt Corby singing “Brother” live on Triple J. It’s an amazing acoustic vocal performance just like this one. The level of emotion is on par with this as well!
Thanks for your recommendation💕
Yes, yes, yes PLEASE
When I saw you had a reaction to Black I was hoping it was the unplugged version. It is the perfect example of a performer is is bleeding every phrase, every melody. And you can tell you felt and internalized the emotions that Vedder dishes out here. I don't think it's his best "technical" vocal performance, but who cares! The performance gushes with artistry. Everytime I hear this song my adrenaline/emotions get tapped.
Thank you for sharing🥰
This is my favorite song of all time. And of course pearl jam is my favorite band of all time. I used to listen to this song all the time. But maybe 5-6 years ago I kinda stopped. It would get me in my feels too much. I'm 41 years old. I started listening to this song when I was in my teens till my mid 30s. I'm so glad to see ppl listening to it for the first time lately. I'm slowly listening to this song again. Brings back memories (some of which I don't want to remember lol)

@@AaliyahCapili You'll love it for sure
I really enjoyed your reaction as I always do, Aaliyah, and as usual I feel much more knowledgable about music and singing after listening to you! Did you know that the legendary Canadian singer/songwriter named Gordon Lightfoot just died yesterday? It would be amazing if you could find a video of his singing "Sundown" or "If You Could Read My Mind", as I would love to see your analysis/reaction to his voice and music! Take care,
Thanks so much for sharing 🌺 and also for your recommendation💕
I was not aware of his passing, sad news. "The wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" would be another I'd add to the list.
Good reaction 😀
😍
I'm at the 3:11 break, about "how mellow" it all is up to here ..... HANG ON, it's about to get LESS mellow ........ You'll LOVE IT
🥰
Ms. Aaliyah, love the assessment from a strictly vocal perspective, very cool. But in considering the intensity and incredible power of this song, I would have loved to get your opinion on the song itself, how it made you feel. I love that you respond to almost everyone's comments, also very nice. God bless you ma'am, keep smiling!😁
Thanks so much Mr. John for your feedback
"You can sing any 90's song with just vowels. A-E-I-O-U!!" 😂😂
🥰
Loving your reactions Aaliyah. I have a recommendation for you, an Australian singer and tenor - John Farnham. One of Australia's best and strong voice with great range. His live version of Help with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra is just amazing. You wont be disappointed!!
Thanks so much for sharing your recommendation💕

He was extremely sick during this show. But still sounds amazing ❤️

Wow I never knew that and never would have guessed it. He seems so energetic in every song and also he achieves some beautiful clean tones.

I agree with the people below Eddie actually had bronchitis during this performance so check out some of his other performances but other than that he's amazing....love your reaction 😊

Great job 👍 with your reaction and thoughts on The live performance of Black From Peal Jam . There Lead Singer Eddie Veder had a very bad head cold and he almost didn't do the show. The Bass player dose some very good backup Vocals.
Thanks so much Mr. Eric😍
@@AaliyahCapili Your welcome Miss Aaliyah 😊✌️❤️
Took the Huskie out of my mouth. That's what came to mind first, hiw husky jmhis voice was. 2nd thought was, hmm, the singer from Creed kind of sounds like him. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong. Either way, great reaction.
Thanks so much Mr. Julian
@@AaliyahCapili you're welcome.
Ya no existen bandas como ellos.
I' am from metal style, from heavy to thrash, death and black metal.
Pero ya no hay bandas como Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Led Zeppelin o Pink Floyd.
También crecí junto a ellos, aunque mi estilo es otro.
Don't forget Radiohead with 'Creep', a real classic.

You want real Eddie Vedder vocals? Release live in Holland 1992. Completely blows this out of the water. Hands down best performance of Mr. Vedder. As an opera singer you’d appreciate it.

Just discovered your channel, loving your enthusiasm. I'm pretty sure you know Adele right? Since you're 19 and like learning from other vocals, why not try a track from her debut album called 19, released when she was your age 😁 'Chasing Pavements' would be a great one 👍🏼

@@AaliyahCapili no problem … Alice in chains is forever my favourite band … and I know everything and I heard everything I will also add recomendetion for Mad Season- Wake up (live at the Moore 1995) .. there Layne Staley is absolutely amazing and he wrote that song about his addiction and is also heartbreaking hearing him sing it
Yup...out of THE 4 grunge bands Alice in chains is THE ONE.....Staley's voice just hits you.

You really need to listen to Chis Cornell sing Nothing Compares 2 U!! It was amazing!!!

Thank you for your great reaction!
I was wondering if you've heard of Falling in Reverse? I've been a fan for 10+years and spread the word when and where I can.
They recently had a #3 spot on UA-cam and #1 Spotify Rock w/ "watch the world burn"
But "the drug in me is reimagined" might be more your style since it's rock/opera
Thank you for your consideration.
Thank you for sharing, i will definitely put that on my list💕
you should react to MIke Patton
Thanks for your recommwmdation
I sang this one night at karaoke. This girl approached me and told me..."I used to strip to this song."... she took me home and used me. The next morning I recognized a photo on the nightstand next to me. It was the chief of police in my rural town. OOPS !!!...I'm out. Funny how trouble can find you sometimes. Now every time I hear this song I'm reminded of that night and reminded to NEVER sing karaoke again.
😊
Nice reaction
Plis react to LP, I recommend lost on you, muddy waters or halo cover

se que serás una estrella en el cielo de alguien más, pero ¿porqué no en el mio? porqueeeeee?
Aww thanks so much Mr.Frank💕
Time for you to react to the official uncensored video of their song Jeremy. It's a great song, it is a hard yet super important watch for young people.
Also if I may being the great vocalist and reactor that you are it is way past time for you to listen to Chris Cornell. Highly suggest you start with his live Sirius version of Nothing Compares 2 U (it's a Prince cover but clearly now his own). Best wishes to you.

You’re 1/2 way through the “Big 4”of grunge as you have done Nirvana already, just Alice In Chains and Soundgarden left..:) hopefully you’ll get to Alice In Chains next, which is the best all around band to come out of that era IMHO..:) try Alice In Chains- ‘Down in a Hole’ off the MTV unplugged album or ‘Love Hate Love’ live at the Moore…:)

Im a straight man and by the end of the song he convinced me that me and him belong together 😍😆
LOL... best comment!

You didn’t get to see it here, but considering what a crazy daredevil he made a habit of being on stage, we have to count ourselves lucky that Eddie Vedder is still with us, though too many of his contemporaries are no longer. Many of us thought a broken neck was inevitable, but he managed to prove us wrong.
