Очень радует, что молодые девушки ценят музыку 70-х. Verdy, такое отношение к моей любимейшей на протяжении сорока семи лет группе - повод для уважения к Вам.
Nobody's fault is a Balls Out rocker. Shitloads of fun to play, just vintage Zeppelin, right back to their roots. Bonzo thunder, JPJ mesmerising bass line, Jimmy being, well,.... Jimmy, Percy lets the harp rip! Gotta love it!
Yep, that's Robert Plant on harmonica on "Nobody's Fault But Mine", Led Zeppelin's interpolation of a Blind Willie Johnson song first recorded in 1927. Nina Simone dropped a nice cover of the song as well some years prior. I remember hearing "Hots On For Nowhere" on the radio all the time back when. Dig that shuffle! And all those breaks, even during the guitar solo that sounds on the verge of disintegration at each step. And that ending too. I taped the song off the radio when I was a kid along with "Whole Lotta Love" back to back, so listening to the ending runs in the song always prime me for hearing the opening riff to "Whole Lotta Love" next. Led Zeppelin made a big impression on me when I was a kid.
5/31/77 Greensboro N.C. Concert was supposed to start @8.00, 2 hours later, the crowd was not happy, but that soon changed. Still was an epic show and performance, too bad there were no cell phones back then, but maybe that wasn’t such a bad thing either. Tickets were $9. Great memory! Keep up the good videos!!!
I've said it before... Verdy channel is so tuned into Zeppelin, makes me feel like there's a whole army out there that/ listen to/ feel/ Zep the same way I do.
This side opens and closes with utterly classic tracks, a rocking banger and blue's deluxe as only they can do. More Zeppelin Magic is what we have here. 🎵🎸🎤🎶
The ambience on the guitar solo for TeaFor One is incredible. You feel like you’re in the room with Jimmy. One of the most beautiful guitar solos ever recorded and certainly in his own top 5.
Hey friend!!! First time on the channel, dope that I found you on a Zeppelin video!!! Their drummer is one of my favs ever! Also, Jessie from flowers after rainfall would like to roll the COLDFRONT through and introduce you to our friends at Freeze The Fall! Their new single is jaw dropping!!
Robert Plant's vocals are intoxicating with the amazing drumming of John Bonham the bass of John Paul Jones the electrifying guitar of Jimmy Page is just pure magic ❤❤❤❤
The companion piece to Since I've Been Loving You, Tea For one is a master class in tone, timing, and phrasing...Jimmy Page's final great blues work. Presence is not as highly regarded in the overall Zeppelin canon, but any album that opens with Achilles' Last Stand and closes with Tea For One is a seminal work for any band.
If Zeppelin 4 was the band in full tether, stretching their monstrous wings and doing just as they pleased this one is them showing anyone interested in real rock&roll how exactly to do it. A clinic, a masterpiece really. I think a lot of artist if being honest would be perfectly content if this was the height of their accomplishments, it's an absurdity and shows you how strong this band really was that folks forget about this one altogether.
Nobody's fault but mine is so underrated by today's reaction crowds, the pauses are such a great touch - nice to see Verdy doing full albums like we used to do.
Hots On For Nowhere was the very first Led Zeppelin song I heard when I was a child in the mid/late 90's. My mom made quite amazing and eclectic mixtapes. And these memories came back when I rediscovered it in my teenage years after becoming a Led Zep fan.
Totally agree with you Verdy! I always loved the paused phrasing that the bass and drums play over the main guitar melody riff in Nobody’s Fault But Mine.
Love your reaction videos. Reminds me of the days I would sit in a room with a friend or two or maybe none and just listen and enjoy the music. Beautiful.
The very first note that harmonica plays in "Nobody's foult" always reminds me the desperate scream of a pig in the slaughterhouse...and that's a true compliment! What a sound! 😮😂
I love when he plays the harmonica, I know it wasn’t suited for every song, but I wish he had played it more. Plant is definitely a great harmonica player, but I so love hearing his amazing vocals too.
I alway loved this album. Its one you may forget and not play as often as others but when I did always puts me in a great mood. And Tea For One is just smoother than silk
USA in the woods with a cassette Walkman with a Harley sticker keeping the door on the deck, bought over the ear headphones and jammed with my cousins while sneaking off to smoke and build a fire.... in the morning it was pack out what you packed in and with Zeppelin as the soundtrack, it was perfect mountain music.
For fans of "Tea For One" another great guitarist has a great live cover - Joe Bonamassa at the Hammersmith Apollo in London, definitely worth a watch!
I really enjoy your full album reactions, they give me a chance to revisit my favorites with you. I highly recommend to listen to Porcupine Tree. Maybe start with their album In Absentia. Great Songs and Harmonies. Cheers!

Nobody's Fault is a fantastic blues rock song/brilliant harmonica, often played live and even better. Tea For One is simply brilliant (romantic guitar), reminds me of the beginnings, unfortunately never played live until Page&Plant 1996 (thanks!!!). When Presence was released I thought about side 1: oh that rhythmic military rock/uniform hard rock like PG. I started to really love Archilles, especially live (in concert), musically more balanced mix and RP's voice with more blues rock color. For Your Life (not Love, the Yardbirds souvenir from the beginning) has a great guitar solo and was only played live at the 2007 reunion. The other 3 songs are meaningless to me (never played live): too many baby, baby and la, la, la. Presence is short JP+JB album, everything composed by JP+RP (except the short Royal, the filler) and unfortunately without keys. Today I asked myself for the first time whether JPJ's bass contributes to me classifying it as too military. Presence remained for me a skip song album (already trenches on vinyl), PG a skip side album; I played side 3 endlessly and Time is fantastic live, more musically balanced. Both albums belong in the category B/skip, I+II+IV in S and III+HOTH in A. In my opinion, ITTOD has a brilliant side. I'm interested in what you say about this last studio album.
Led Zeppelin was staying in a rented place near Malibu CA 20 miles from me same time that this album was about to come out. They must have kept a very low profile to not Led the word get out 🎉🎉
A true masterpiece! The last album, In Through the Out Door, can be considered the weakest, but under no circumstances should it be skipped. There's still a good amount of great songs.

Zepplin took the 1950s to the next level. Most of their contemporaries shunned that era and didn’t think it was “cool”. But not them. There’s tons of clues of the ‘50’s in the film, The Song Remains The Same. One only has to listen to “rock ‘n’ roll” to hear the nod of their influences. But that’s just one.
They recorded four pure blues songs: “Since I've Been Loving You”, “In My Time of Dying”, “Tea for One”, and “I'm Gonna Crawl”. There are a few others, but these four are the big ones. Of these, my favourite has always been Tea for One. There is such sadness and hurt in it, to the point it is almost overwhelming. The construction of the song with the “fake” beginning, the matching of the lyrical content (the “story”) with Jimmy's soulful guitar solo and phrasing, makes it stand slightly above the others. In my opinion, anyway. People all have different favourites. A great ending to a great album. There are a few throwaway songs on it, unfortunately. But the great songs make up for it and reward the listener. “Achilles”, “Nobody's Fault”, and “Tea for One” are the standout tracks. “For Your Life” is close behind. Weird and fascinating album cover. I actually own a replica of “the Object” on the cover that I bought from Rick Barrett's Zeppelin memorabilia shop way back … 40 years ago or so. Cheers miss Verdy 🍺
I heard this album when it came out and I can still remember the feeling hearing Tea For One for the first time. I thought it was the best thing on the record and I still do. In fact for me it was the only good song. You can keep the rest of it but Tea For One is superb.
When u said u liked the pauses during nobodys fault but mine, i was like : just wait till u get to Hots on for nowhere, lol! And yes it IS NO WHERE, tho interestingly, as Peter Gabriel highlighted in a video once, it DOES break down to "Now Here"! Tea fot one has some of jimmy'smost soul-caressing guitar licks, it's amazing! ur right about Candy Store rock , it is the least great song on the album, haha! Like your Justice League of America shirt, lol!
Jessie from Flowers After Rainfall sent me. you have been frostbit. Freeze The Fall will melt you mind and they are only getting started, Cold Front forming and the musics hot
Plant & his family were in a bad car accident while vacationing in Greece, thankfully their kids weren’t injured to bad, neither was Page’s daughter. Roberts wife Maureen had a skull fracture, & Roberts leg was crushed, they both had other injuries too. Plant recorded this album while in a wheelchair, not knowing if he’d walk again, he was in the wheelchair almost a year. They needed to get this album recorded, but for some tax reasons couldn’t do it in England, so they were in the US. Tea For One, is about Robert missing his family, especially at a time they needed to be together healing together. It’s definitely a beautiful blues song, & this one is really from Plants heart & soul. They always manage to amaze with all of their music. Thanks for your reaction.
Hots on for Nowhere lyrics, recorded while Robert Plant was in a wheelchair recovering from a near-fatal car accident: "Now I've got friends who will give me their shoulder, Event I should happen to fall Time and his bride growing older I've got friends who will give me f*ck all" This is about Robert being upset with Jimmy for not giving him proper time to heal after Robert's near-fatal car accident (Jimmy giving Robert f*ck all (nothing). "And if you ask my advice, take it slower Then your story'd be your finest reward" Robert is telling Jimmy to slow down and let him heal, and then we'd be fine. Instead, you keep pushing me while I'm still in a wheelchair. "Now everything's fine under heaven Now and then you've got to take time to pause When you're down on the ground, don't be messin' around Or you'll land in a boat without oars" This is a veiled threat from Robert: Take a time-out or I'll walk away, and you'll be left in a boat (Led Zep) without oars. This was not a good time for the band, personally, for many reasons. Resentment towards the band is building in Robert, Jimmy's and Bonham's addictions are increasing, and JPJ nearly quit the band. Its amazing they were willing to create anything at this time.
Greetings! Jessie from Flowers After Rainfall sent me to let you know that you need to know about an amazing young hard rock power trio out of western Canada! Freeze The Fall. Vocalist/Guitarist Quinn is 17, bassist Aria is 15, and drummer Jonah is also 15. They have three official videos out, Glitch, Daughters of Witches and Masquerade. We'd love it if you'd react to any of them!
Remembering the first play when I brought Presence home. Killer after killer .. sad to reach the last song .. wait - a new slow blues tune that sounds like LZ III? Unreal.
I've seen this comment before, but don't agree at all. Just because it's bluesey, doesn't make it a partner to "Since I've been loving you!!" Listen closely. Not at all related!!
@@ericbeggs746 Identical bass and drum. Vocal line almost the same. Some variations in guitar wanderings. If you say "not at all related" you don't know music.
@verdychannel11 you’ve been suggested as a person who might like a new young Canadian band Freeze the fall who released a new song called Masquerade yesterday, they’re playing their first live gig outside of their own area soon in Vancouver and releasing their first EP soon which was part crowdfunded by followers of The Warning. This is part of a chain that we’ve started to get them more known. If you would react to their song we would ask you to pass it on to another reactor you know of that might be interested in getting involved. The Premier of the release is on their UA-cam channel. Thank you for reading this ❤
@Flowers After Rainfall sent you a "cold front" please check out the young Canadian rock band Freeze the Fall! They have a brand new music video that came out yesterday! 🙂 someone recommended your channel to me, and I think you're going to like this band! if you like what you hear, please shout out another reactor you think might like them too! thanks for reading!

Tea for One is beautiful. It is one of my favorite Zeppelin songs.
Yes ...and it's a kind of musical extension of "Since I've been loving you" from Led Zeppelin III 👌
Agree,I always felt SIBLU was a blues song from a Young relationship,TFO is definitely from an older relationship.
Blues as only they can do, jaw dropping stuff.
@@freethinker--When you’ve been having tea for one for a very long time.
Lol absolutely loved watching you just groove, to Tea For One. It's exactly how I listen to it too 🎶 🎶 😏

You did it the way it should be done. In the order they came out. Puts you above all other reactors in my book. Well Done.

Anytime you hear what sounds like a harmonica, it usually is. Robert Plant was amazing on harmonica!
Like on Custard Pie, that was Robert on harmonica not a guitar.

I have always considered Presence to be the most brutal music ever laid down on a disc.
I think they were at the pinnacle of their musical prowess on this album.
This album is insanely good. Zep at the height of their powers. And Page using a Strat with a whammy bar for the first time on Side 1.

Hots on for Nowhere lyrics, recorded while Robert Plant was in a wheelchair recovering from a near-fatal car accident:
"Now I've got friends who will give me their shoulder,
Event I should happen to fall
Time and his bride growing older
I've got friends who will give me f*ck all"
This is about Robert being upset with Jimmy for not giving him proper time to heal after Robert's near-fatal car accident (Jimmy giving Robert f*ck all (nothing).
"And if you ask my advice, take it slower
Then your story'd be your finest reward"
Robert is telling Jimmy to slow down and let him heal, and then we'd be fine. Instead, you keep pushing me while I'm still in a wheelchair.
"Now everything's fine under heaven
Now and then you've got to take time to pause
When you're down on the ground, don't be messin' around
Or you'll land in a boat without oars"
This is a veiled threat from Robert: Take a time-out or I'll walk away, and you'll be left in a boat (Led Zep) without oars.

Tea for One is basically a revisit to Since I've been Loving You but Ten Years Gone.
Remembering the first play when I brought Presence home. Killer after killer .. sad to reach the last song .. wait - a new slow blues tune that sounds like LZ III? Unreal.
Approaching 13 years of having Tea for One myself, no longer singing the blues.
Nobody's Fault But Mine is the only song I like on this album
Just two albums left, unless you wanna do the live one, the boxed sets and the BBC album.
Not the best Led Zepp album, but still Led Zepp!
Es, es, es...muy bueno, otra faceta de LZ😊
still way better than any of the crap they call music today!
It’s not a masterpiece like their earlier albums, but I like it more because of that.
please ! please ! pretty please make a reaction to ...... "Danny Carey " Pneuma" by Tool (LIVE IN CONCERT) "
