Backup Camera Install 2016 Jeep Compass

I hope this shitty video helps you install your backup camera in your Jeep Compass with an aftermarket radio. Here are the parts needed...
Radio: AVH-1400NEX ($235 off Amazon)
Antenna Adapter: 40-EU10 ($6 off Ebay)
Radio Harness Converter: PAC RP4-CH11 ($75 off Ebay)
Backup Camera: Universal ($13 off Ebay)
Double DIN kit: 99-6511BB ($12 off Ebay)
16 gauge wire: ($8 from AutoZone)
Optional-
Parking Brake Bypass: 112808331148 ($8 off Ebay)
Total Cost: $360
If you choose to use the stock touchscreen radio (RBZ430), then you will need a universal backup camera, a conversion harness for the radio, and you will have to have the dealer reflash your vehicle for the camera. This route cost about the same; however, you will not get additional features like Apple Carplay.

Great explanation and video. I actually used this to install my Wolfbox G840S mirror backup/dashcam on my daughters 2017 Jeep Compass. The hardest part was trying to fish the cable through that boot that connects the lift gate to the car. Thanks for the video!

Which wire is to the reverse light? Orange and white? And did you extended the red wire with that extra black wire? Also which black wire is the ground?

Never strip the wires or those crimp connections

Camera person is not good with a camera. Video was not helpful thanks to unnecessary camera angles and cuts.
