I think it's remarkable how all these pads and different products can make on a car's surface. I for one, don't understand half of what Larry is explaining but the result is always mindblowing.

@@AramcoPhil I think that depends on your region. My US spec 3 series will have it off automatically. In Europe and some other regions it’s on automatically.

In my personal opinion, the Roma is one of the best looking modern day Ferraris on the market. Such a sleek and clean design. Love it. Great video, Larry!
I got a client a couple months ago who brought in a Roma in this exact BRG spec but with a brown interior and the paint was in the same shape. Wash damage, love marks from taking delivery, etc. It doesn't help that the Ferrari paint is quite soft, but man it was a blast working on a British Racing Green Ferrari! Great video as always Larry!
The feeling a car guy experiences when he gets into a bad ass car is something I wish everyone could feel. The tingles, the hair on ur arms standing up, the butterflies in ur stomach. It makes any mundane trip an exhilarating experience.
It's mind boggling how much I learned from you, Larry. Every time I wash cars, I always remember your advice and tips. This helps me to enjoy the process even more! Thank you!
I used to be an exotic car detailer for a sec and I always did my best to make sure the car came out as best as I could get it with the time that I had and unfortunately at times the company liked to cut corners to save time. Seeing this makes me really appreciate people like you who do the absolute best they can.
Awesome work. This is great for a detailers business, but for $218,000 to start, that car needs to be perfect when it’s delivered. I don’t know what the price threshold is, but $200K is definitely in it.
I think it is more like “any limited number car” whatever the price tag is, should be signed and detailed before deliver to the buyer. This Ferrari I don’t k is if it is numbered, but still it should be perfect.
any car after six figures I want it to be perfect and give me some gawk-gawk 3000 every time I get in. edit: luckily my expectations can't be disappointed as I have yet to be there.
Nah…… they (dealers) probably figure that if you have that kind of money to drop on a car……you can afford to turn the page and get it detailed. Really, what rich/wealthy person is concerned about “pig tails” and “swirl marks”? A detailers fee is probably chump change to them. Just make sure it’s waxed up at pick up so nothing stands out.
These kind of finish from the factory is perfectly fine for a sueprcar. In normal light you cant see anything. And if you watch your car with a flashlight.....you are mad.
Probably one of the more rare colors of a Ferrari but beautiful in the green none the less, especially with the yellow accents inside and on the brake calipers. A sophisticated color combination. Some of the colors on the Roma aren't flattering, especially on the front end. That green looks perfect on this car. Absolutely stunning job Larry.
Another great vid, thanks Larry. It's really interesting to see how you prep an essentially brand new car for delivery. Great to see you driving it too, kudos to the owner for letting us (and you!) experience that.

Larry, Your videos have been leaving a smile on my face. I love seeing the passion. Keep up the good work and Ill keep on dropping many hundreds on detailing products.
I saw some comparisons of foaming before, or foaming after an initial rinse.. Every test foaming w/o pre-rinsing worked better. I guess the foam had more to latch onto if you don't rinse first, and the water on the car makes the foam just run off instead of sticking to the car....
Love that you pointed out that all cars come with minor paint imperfections. I frequent many forums and one of the major gripes is paint on delivery. I have had a lot of cars from high end to low end and they have all had issues. I was at the local Mclaren dealer and the 720s on the floor had two sizable chips. The salesman had to open the driver side door because if it was lifted to fully open position the door would bind on the hood.
Love the content and products Larry. Thanks for inspiring me to one day open my own detailing business. I'm a huge fan and glad you share these awesome videos!!

Gotta appreciate a dude getting a new Ferrari, and being like man..it's time to call Larry. You know the guy that can take a brand new Ferrari and make it look exactly the way its supposed to...great job and excellent video.
When the Roma came out, my company was called to do some sanitization and detailing during heavy pollen seasons at some of Ferrari's Chicago sales events. Surprisingly easy to work on. They need to call your buddy with the nice trailer system though - these things are just thrown in any old box with wheels on it...
Love the channel! Love your work! Just can't help wondering; why clean en polish the car first and then do the testdrive? You have to clean it again after the drive right? Isn't it less time consuming to do it the other way around? Or is it just the montage order of the video?
Wow amazing job Larry! Those before and afters are really phenomenal, great job as always man! It looks 10 times better than from the factory, pretty crazy that you need a detail straight from the showroom floor but whatever.
Foaming first means the surface becomes saturated with soapy water, whereas foaming onto an already wet surface could reduce the effectiveness of the foam. Unless the paint is caked with dried mud, foaming first would seem the way to go, but only testing can determine this for sure. Perhaps you could test by doing each side of a vehicle using the different methods. An even more interesting test would be to compare a consecutive cycle of contactless washing, with contactless followed by a contact wash. If the first was just as effective, it would have the benefit of avoiding the possibility of swirls, and less laundry to do. Thumbs up for the episode.
Gorgeous Ferrari no doubt. Loved what you said about cars being tied to emotions - a friend of mine just couldn’t part with his dad’s car when he passed away which i guess is the same concept. Awesome video Larry 👌

I learned a great car washing trick some time ago from a detailer at my Porsche shop in Ohio. The "2 bucket method". Meaning. one bucket with soapy water the other with clear clean water. After washing a section of the car, I rinse out the wash mitt in clean water. Then wash the next section. It keeps from spreading around dirt on the paint which could scratch the surface. plus emptying the water and refill again. '04 black 986 S. Black is great when it's clean and polished. Still having trouble getting out light scratches and swirl marks. BTW, love some of your products that I use regularly.
larry uses the single bucket method, once a microfiber has been used on all sides, it goes tossed to be washed, and another is retrieved. a dirty side of the microfiber never touches the car more than once during a wash.
Hi Larry, I am here watching since 6-7 years back.. As always you are a complete beast, love your videos. No1 detailer from my perspective, keep up the explanation thing. I think it really helps! //Best regards,
When I was really into racing and cars I always loved to wash and detail my car and then take it for a good ride, my buddy always called it "getting some RT" or Ride Time..🤘😁.
Hey Larry. Quick question. You cover the wheels to make cleaning them easier. Could you theoretically apply the same product to the exhaust tips to make cleaning them easier as well ?
Found your channel and started watching. Really enjoy the thoroughness that you bring to your details. Something hit me just now. So many people have trash all over their interior. Is there a trash container you recommend that looks good in most cars and holds a decent amount of debris? I just don’t want one of those plastic bags hanging over a knob somewhere. That’s a bad look.
Can you share how much one of your full custom details cost? A range of costs? I am assuming this is not cheap given the incredible amount of work you do. The cars look awesome when you are finished. I’m very impressed!
I was very fortunate to have tracked a Roma a couple of weeks ago and I was kind of shocked it was wearing Pilot Sport 4S’s. With over 600 hundred HP they definitely seemed to struggle.
This is my personal favourite colour for a car. Dark enough to really hit that wet look, but not at run-of-the-mill and fussy as black...racy, professional, subtle and classic. Yum.
I have question when using a smaller diameter polisher when compounding and polishing. Does the small diameter pads generate heat faster than a larger diameter pad? And in your experience do smaller diameter pads cut more or faster at say a speed of 4-5 compared to a larger 5 or 6in diameter pad going the same speed? Thank you
