I made these bars yesterday, they are totally fantastic!!, makes me wonder why I have ever bought a chocolate bar since these are much more delicious and that with no sugar or preservatives or any industry chemicals, healthier, cheaper and they are so easy to make!!. I used a blender instead of a processor, it´s very simple because the batter is pretty compact and you don´t have to be scraping to take all the batter. I didn´t use chocolate chips and I also omited the vanilla extract. I admit I didn´t expect that amazing flavor with no sugar added. Next time I´ll try with dried plums since where I live they´re locally made and more affordable. Thanks for the recipe!
I like the very end of the video where you show us something in your life. Either outside somewhere with Baxter. It was kinda cool to see your "behind the scenes" area. Clearly you and your husband put a lot of time and effort into your videos and it shows,
I will make this for my hubby to take when he mountain bike. Thank you! I love your way of demonstrating those yummy recipes. I am over the moon with your banana bread and muffin recipes!
In my country we just mix date, any type of nut (including pine nut) and tahini. It is easy and healthy. Some people think that tahini is used only in savoury. in fact it is wildly used in sweet recipes.
Thanks once again for another awesome recipe. But watching u go about making and explaining the recipe is so lovely in itself ur expressions gestures are so super cute . I never hv loved watching a tutorial as much as I enjoy urs . Thanks a ton!! Will try out. With love from India.
I am so excited! I read the description of these this afternoon, before watching the video. I told myself to pay attention because I should have all the necessary ingredients. So, after supper, I made these energy bars while watching this video several times, plus some other bar videos. I will probably make the cream cheese brownies and oatmeal lemon bars this weekend. I will give some in gift boxes, and freeze the rest for myself. It's time to go cut them! I am so excited to try a small bite tonight. Then another bite in the morning with coffee. I made a double batch with the layer of chocolate on top and used pecans. If I knew how to make a coconut nougat layer, before the chocolate, I definitely would have done that, but I'll find a recipe. Thanks for sharing this recipe that I'm sure I will have fun changing often. Wow! Just tasted one and it is so delicious. It's a thrill to know I can make my very own chocolate bars, with good chocolate, as often as I wish because this recipe is very easy and healthy. With only ingredients I want and no unnecessary chemicals.
Hi Stephanie! I've been a fan of your channel for a long time. You're the best UA-cam baking channel I have found as you take the time to really explain the process without any gimmicks. I continue watching your channel and learn stuff. I hope you consider making a Sans rival cake one of these days. I have never found a good video tutorial for this recipe. Thank you!
Completely enjoyed your video I plan on making this recipe tomorrow only i am planning on adding a layer of granola as well ,this is the first video i have watched today on making bars alike this type that was enjoyable.thank you so much for sharing can't wait to view more recipes soon.such a pleasure.
I made something similiar using almonds and no chocolate. I used to then dehydrated them but that ended up not making a difference and wasted electricity. Your recipe includes chocolate so that makes them 100 x better. Thank you for all your videos.
Its a great snack. I make mine with dates and almonds. I make them into balls and roll them in raw cacao powder and refrigerate them. I'm going to try your way the next time because it looks wonderful.
You are so sweet, Stephanie, and even funny at times! I love watching your videos, thank you so much for posting such great and dependable recipes- I've had great results with the ones I've tried!
Going to try this recipe. The Medjool dates are so good for you so I'm glad you used them. I am hoping raw cashews will be okay with this recipe instead of roasted. Thanks for the recipe.
Hi Stephanie, These look amazing! I am always looking for healthier and uncomplicated ways to curb my sweet tooth, and these bars fit the bill. Thanks, once again for a great recipe and demonstration. Cheers!
Hi Stephanie. You have indeed given me a 'JoB' during the lockdown! Tried this today. The family loved it! The natural sweetness of dates was a healthy bonus. It was an easy recipe for a family with a sweet tooth! Thank you!
I love the way she you explain your recipe, it's so easy to understand each word, and of course ,to make it. Specifically for those who are from other countries like me. Thank you for cheating your goriees. God bless you and your family. Take care.😷😇
I roasted almonds, cashews, peanuts, walnuts, pistachios, white sesame seeds, oats. Ground and blended everything along with the pitted dates, lil salt, coconut powder, cinnamon powder, lil honey (optional). Transferred everything onto a baking tray, placed in the freezer for 20 mins then added melted dark chocolate and froze for 20 mins. If u don't want to roast the nuts in the beginning. Then grind and blend all the ingredients and bake at 180°C for 25-30 mins. After it cools add the melted chocolate and freeze it.
I like this energy bar so much. Keep following you since 2013. You are an amazing chef. Thank you so much for sharing so many useful knowledge. If any possible. Hi Stephanie, you're great as always. I've been following your channel for quite some time now and I just love your honesty! I've made my first perfect New York cheesecake with your recipe. I commented on that also. Now this recipe is soo good and easy. I just love dates and absolutely join you for saying that medjoul dates are perfect. They really are. I will try this energy bar soon. Greetings from Tübingen , Germany!

Hello Dear, thank you so much for such a nutritious and yummy recipe! I made them and turned out to be really yummy... Keep it up! Cheers, love & blessings..😊♥️🤗😍🌸
I just made it and it tastes really good 😋 without chocolate or vanilla or chocolate chip and it still tastes delicious and the taste of dates is not clear at all 😍 ✨ you are amazing 😊🍀 I wanna ask can I cut the amount of dates into half.... Or it won't work 🙈 I'm sorry my English is not very good
Wow, I made you Choclate Energy Bars today and they are fantastic and really easy to make! Do you hav eany suggestiong to making them more durable? I do a lot of mission work in Malawi and food is an issue so I usually buy a lot of energy bars to eat but these will really be excellent if they cna with stand the heat 😀 Martin South Africa
Even though they were prominent ingredient the dates pretty much only provide sweetness and the stickiness they need to hold together. It's not like eating a date bar or a date filled cookie. It's just a chocolate nut bar I make many of these including pumpkin and at the holidays and Apple and all sorts of kinds of what different spices and my base is always dates and nuts and most people wouldn't know another major ingredient for me is desiccated unsweetened coconut. There is so much going on that it's not like sitting down eating dates although I can do that because I lived in Morocco and we got them straight from the tree hanging on the strings they were attached to and they had milk running out of them they were so young and sweet and wonderful. :-)
Hi, Stephanie. These bars look great, and can easily be made into a vegan dessert by using coconut oil instead of butter. Any chance that you might be willing to include/add vegan-inspired desserts to your repertoire and future videos? :-)
Hi, I watch everything you do. My husband loves this loaf made from walnuts and has a layer of Raspberry jam with more chopped nuts on top. We spoke to the bakery where we used to buy it and they said it's too expensive to make. moist and delicious and can't find anywhere a recipe on how to make it. Every recipe is carrots, banana, dates with walnuts. not one shows you how to put the layer of raspberry jam or how to cook it. Are you familiar and can you make it? Thanks in advance just in case.
