I love chocolate version of Krispy treats, I made these as cake pops , added some toasted pecans , turned out so good, but my picky eaters still prefer the regular kind:)
I did a taste test using your recipe and a recipe that uses cocoa krispies instead of adding chocolate. Your recipe won hands down, 4 out of 5 preferred your recipe (including me) to the cocoa krispies recipe. It had a much richer chocolate taste than the cocoa krispies recipe. Thanks for the great recipe.
We used to be able to buy those at my local grocery store here in France, but they don't stock them anymore (they were branded Rice Krispies Squares here) and my daughter loves them, so I was happy to see this receipe on here. I just made them this morning for the first time, and my girl was so happy ! She tried them for her afternoon snack and she looked at me and said "Mommy! Those are even better than the ones we buy at the store! Thank you for making these delicious ones for my snack!". So THANK YOU Stéphanie for providing me with the receipe to make these, not only are they tastier, they're also cheaper to make than the ones I used to buy! Next time I'll try to make a bit less though, because these were a few too many and I'm afraid they'll go bad before she can eat them all. I'm a diabetic, so I can't quite help her out in that task :)
Wow. This is like a nostalgia trip down memory lane. Every birthday I had growing up we had these. I think I will make some on the weekend. Oh the memories. Thanks Stephanie.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Love it! U look prettier by the day. I'm a big fan. Make ur recipes quite often! Will u please put up a recipe on how to make cream cheese at home? It's difficult to get rennet here.
Hey ! How are you ? I simply just love your tutorials. Your seriously awesome . I have learnt a lot from you . I wanted to make a request that can you please teach us chocolate and praline decorations . Hope that you'll look forward to my request . Ok then take care.
Love your channel thanks for showing us. Today we made it just chocolate and rise crispy which was hard to eat but tasty 😋 and next time we will make it your way.
I would use briquettes to melt the chocolate and marshmellows nice and evenly, thanks for sharing btw. I love cooking outdoors more than indoors and I'm about to get a new oven soon.
something else you can do is make these and roll into balls. Then refrigerate them and cover them in melted white chocolate. Or you could make these without the chocolate making them plain then again rolling into balls and putting them in the fridge. After you can dip them in milk or dark chocolate. This really balances the flavour very well and they're also great for parties.
Hi Stephanie, i have a question about the type of chocolate you put in the mix; can you put some Nutella chocolate in it ? 'cause i love nutella and i think it would be great to put some in, don't you think ??? Not that the type of chocolate that you put isn't good but, to make it a diffrent way maybe ? Anyway, i am pretty sure i will try these very soon !!! thanks for sharing !
Growing up in 50's,60's we had a pie shell made with rice krispies, melted semi-sweet chocolate and butter. When it hardened it was filled with coffee ice cream. Chocolate shavings on top.
Hy! wonderful recipes and explanations. I would not buy marshmallows, what can replace It? Can be made at home? How to adapt the recipe for vegans? Thanks!!!!
I made chocolate ones for our birthday sunday at church. They tasted good, but they weren't at all crunchy. Why? Shouldn't they have some crunch to them?
May I know how to stop the icing from leaking from the sides of my freezer bag? I always put the tip in properly. But it doesn't fix exactly. It keeps moving and when I put the pressure on the bag for the frosting to come out, it starts to leak from the sides after a few seconds :(
These looks so yummy! Chocolate makes everything better 😀
Fact
Ikr because chocolate makes everything tastes like desert
Not everything like steak bacon chicken

Yummy chocolate rice Krispy treats
So glad this recipe doesn't need baking, I always thought that after mixing it all up and putting in a baking pan it would have to go in the oven.

Hi..What is the replacement of marshmallows?
I used vegan marshmallows from Whole Foods. They didn't melt runny like hers and were kind of hard to mix in but they came out great all the same.
did you now you can use choco pops[chocolate version of rice krispies] instead of melting chocolate
Hy! wonderful recipes and explanations. I would not buy marshmallows, what can replace It? Can be made at home? How to adapt the recipe for vegans? Thanks!!!!
+Stela T I do have a recipe and video for Homemade Marshmallows. Here is the link. www.joyofbaking.com/candy/HomemadeMarshmallows.html
+Joy of Baking thanks, thanks, thanks!
Is it good
😋😍
Is it possible to heat butter in a microwave
Yes
Can i use dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate? And leave out the cocoa?
The recipe calls for dark chocolate and you could leave out the cocoa.
I made chocolate ones for our birthday sunday at church. They tasted good, but they weren't at all crunchy. Why? Shouldn't they have some crunch to them?
I made these yesterday but they didnt harden the way i wanted them to, what do you suggest?
They won’t get that firm unless you refrigerate them.
@@joyofbaking thank you!
Can you use marshmallow fluff or do you need the marshmallows?
Yes, you could use marshmallow fluff.
with the same amount?
I like it
Can they be frozen?
May I know how to stop the icing from leaking from the sides of my freezer bag? I always put the tip in properly. But it doesn't fix exactly. It keeps moving and when I put the pressure on the bag for the frosting to come out, it starts to leak from the sides after a few seconds :(
if i put them in the fridge to cool down will they get hard to break, ?
Even when they are refrigerated, they cut pretty easily.
Joy of Baking lazy, kept in first bowl, cool, fact to lazy to type.
Joy of Baking if i do it today and leave it in the frigde untill tommarow what happens
may i know how to store them? how long can we store them? thanks.
+Justine Tay I store them in an airtight container at room temperature. They will stay fresh about 3 days.
+Joy of Baking I don't think they will last that long. :D Blessings, Yvonna
+Eun Jun Wang They will all be eaten in a matter of minutes. I have 2 teen boys.
+Kenneth & Yvonna Hooper haha lol
Try it with some peanut butter on top, it's good ❤
