I'm glad you liked Cold Crematorium, Bill. I felt the same. It was so powerful...I've never read anything quite like it. Great to see a new video from you, sir! :)

Thanks Peg! And thank you for the book. It was an absolutely awesome book. Very sobering and straight forward. It definitely added to my knowledge of the event. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.

You've got a lot done both for school and sports and for reading. Well done. I need to get motivated to read about Jamestown for my project.

Thanks Melissa! What did you choose for your Jamestown selection?? I have an awesome one on my shelves that I need to get to about the archaeological finds of recent years and how that has added to the Jamestown story. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.

Take all the time you need, remember the old joke about three good reasons to be a teacher, June, July and August.😊 Goyhood sounds a winner. Be sure to read Sillitoe's The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner. I like chatty videos, I'm enjoying Magnificent Rebel, Nancy Cunard in Jazz Age Paris by Anne de Courcy, her the Viceroy's Daughters was also a fine read (love social history between the wars).

This is my first week of break and I have already finished one of my books up and hope to finish a couple more in the next three days. Yes ... I love summer. I will look into Sillitoe's The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner. Thanks for the recommendation. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.

Congrats on the goals! Even if you don’t post - I’m glad to hear that any hiatus isn’t due to a slump. 😂 That _Fishing Techniques_ book looks great just on the face of it.
Penguin publishes Keckley’s book and I enjoyed it-a historical account sounds interesting.

Thanks David. No slumps, just busy. Hopefully I can rectify that this summer. That student did an awesome job for his first time publishing a book. I am very proud of him. I will have to check out the Penguin book. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I wasn't sure who published it. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.

I was lucky to find Dead Man's Walk and Comanche Moon in a charity shop, hard backs in perfect condition for a total of £5 (around 7 dollars). I think you recommended Lonesome Dove to me last year. I read it over xmas and like you, really loved it.

That's a great deal on those books James. I am glad you enjoyed Lonesome Dove. I working through some books right now but I hope to return to Comanche Moon in a couple of weeks. I only got a couple hundred pages left. It is really good, too. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.

Maybe I'll finally read Eight Men Out this summer! I have a couple of basketball books, a book by a skier, some weight training books, a book by a surfer, and...
Like you, I also love a chatty video...and a long one!

Oh my, that would be a good one. I don't think I own it. I may have to go and look for it. I am looking forward to seeing what you get read for it. I think we will have a VERY WIDE range of titles for the overall event. It should be a lot of fun. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.

Right now, I'm going back & forth between a couple books:
-Irresistible Revolution by Matthew Lohmeier (Marxism's Goal of Conquest & The Unmaking of the American Military).
-Nixon's Secrets: The Rise, Fall, and Untold Truth about the President, Watergate, and the Pardon, by Roger Stone.

Both books sound interesting. I hope you are liking them. I saw a book on Nixon that was written by Stone, but I didn't buy it because the reviews said it was extremely one sided. Is that the case? If not, I may go try to pick it up again. Let me know. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.

@@billruttenberg So far it's mainly from the view of his personal experiences working for Nixon, but I don't sense a bias just yet, maybe that comes later, ha. Irresistible Revolution does a good job dismantling the attempt at the woke agenda that started to creep in the Military in recent years. The author was a Lt. Colonel in the Air Force, and brought up these concerns to his superiors, and was essentially ignored or punished for doing so. Plenty of videos of him speaking in front of Congress recently on the topic, very informative. 👍

@@detsportsfan18 Thanks for the info. I will have to check those out. I will go ahead and pick up the Nixon book next time I see it.
