Haha, I thought it was me and was feeling guilty for ignoring my online buddy Bill.
My reading has taken a huge hit this year as my Bible Reading has become a concentration (working on 4th time through this year.) and my new hobby of Bible Rebinds (Walk-the-Walk Bible Rebinds on Facebook)….
I did clean house up at St Joseph’s “Books Revisited” loved that place.
    What I got:
    - 2 bibles
    - “Confessions of Nat Turner” - Styron
    - “Shiloh” - Larry Daniel
    - “Shrouds of Glory” - Winston Groom
    - “Jefferson Davis” - William C Davis
    - “Lost Vistories: The Military Genius of Stonewall Jackson” - Bevin Alexander
    - “The Battles of Spotsylvania” - Rhea
    - “Andersonville” - Kantor
    - “Lone Star” - Fehrenbach
    - Autobiography by Jason Whitlock (sports commentator)
Miss your content! Have a great
    Summer!

Hey Ben! I really glad that you found some great titles. You cleaned house. You will have to let me know which ones you liked best. Glad to hear that the Bible reading and repairing is going well. It sounds relaxing.
Have no fear, content coming for the next four days in a row! I hope you enjoy.
Thanks for watching. Have a great 4th of July! Happy Independence Day!

Great to see a video from you, Bill. I am participating in Historathon and reading some books about Shakespeare, Restoration London and still working on The Distant Mirror by Barbara Tuchman from last quarter. Your reading sounds so interesting! Hope you enjoy!

Thank you so much. I am glad to hear that you are involved in Historathon. It is a great reading event, one of my favorites. The Tuchman book takes a while but it is worth it. Glad to hear that you are reading it. Hope the reading is going well! Do you have any other books planned? Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.

Looking ahead to the next quarter I am going to read Erebus by Michael Palin about the history of one of the ships lost on the Franklin Expedition. Looking forward to it!

Nice video Bill! I have heard about that Last King of America book, I'm sure it's interesting. That Washington book has some good cover art.

Thanks Todd. The Last King is supposed to be really good. I hope I have enough time to dip into it, but I am not sure because I picked up another 3rd Quarter buddy read and the book is over 800 pages. Not enough time in the day!
Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.

The Washington’s sounds like it is a great read. I get bored really easily and start books and also put them down and start others. The Maria Theresa book is one I want to get to. I have been looking for Andrew Roberts Napoleon for awhile. The George III is something I would want to read too.

The Washington book is pretty good. I should be able to finish it this month. I need to get ahold of the Napoleon book as well. I have heard nothing but good stuff about it. It would be another one to help me in my classroom when I am teaching. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.

As a coincidence, I am taking that Andrew Roberts book on George the third on holiday next week. Have read several of his others books including ones on Churchill and Napoleon, so really looking forward to this one.

Thanks James! you will have to let me know how it is. I am looking forward to it but I am not sure if I will have time. I hope I do because it would be good to read before I cover it in my classroom. I always like having new stories and information to present to my students. LOL, and let's face it, the book is huge, so there is bound to be new stories I can take from it. Have a good holiday! Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.

Interestingly, here in the UK the book has a different title - George III, the life and reign of Britain's most misunderstood monarch. No mention of those pesky Americans!

Great looking selections, Bill. I’m really curious about that George III biography. I hope your summer is going well!

Thanks Vin! Summer is going great. I got two vacations in and both went well. Now ... school.
I am excited to read the George III. I hope I can get to it.
Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.

I'm reading Cleopatra's Daughter that you recommended last year and I purchased, very enjoyable. For June on the Range I read Gabriel Conroy by Bret Hart. I agree with Twain that his colloquial dialogue did not ring true, but a fine read. In the Distance by Hernan Diaz was a great read.

Good to know. They will all be put on my radar when I go book hunting. Glad to hear that they are all turning out to be good reads. I am working on Alaska by James Michener. It is turning into another one of his gems!! Thanks for watching. Have a great week.

America Before 1787 looks like the one I'd likely pick up if I saw them. Cool titles overall Bill

Thanks Justin. I am glad that Princeton University Press was willing to send it. I am working on the Washington book now, (because I had already started it earlier in the year) but that one will get read before the end of the 3rd Quarter. By the way, I am very jealous of the shark book that you showed on Discord. It looks to be a really good one. Sharks fascinate me. Thanks for watching. Have a great week.

@billruttenberg haha spinning historathon into allowing natural history. Hopefully I get to that one probably at the end of the month
