enel is basically frieza, dude never trained a day in his life but if he decided to he could be a problem
We don't know that. He destroyed his own Sky Island before goimg to Skypeia. He could have trained his DF for that.

If he did train a lot, luffys base strikes at best would be easily shrugged off.
He is supposed to symbolize the Logia stereotype along with Crocodile.
Enel did train his mantra and ability, but I would remember Blackbeards words.

His only saving grace is his speed. His durability and raw power is not too good but obviously turning into lightning makes you pretty quick
His physical stats are average and it is likely he does not train himself
Now his devil fruit and haki is a diff story, which is what most people assume when they assume Enel trained. Which is probably very true. In fact, he is still in the top 5 for overall usage if you ask me but thats just me.

As far as his durability goes, I must note that Enel at that point was untouchable by everyone but luffy. Id argue that prior to that point he has never been hit or taken damage before
I think this is also true. Nobody in the Sky could go against him. Thats why he developed this god complex.
His only weak physically because nobody was able to reach him physically before luffy, after that, Enel could simply train to overcome this weakness.

Kareem Campbell might be untrue tough. It could be that it had nothing to do with the devil fruit ability, but akainu coates his magma fists in haki. Ace trying to defend by coating his body in haki as a shield, but akainu’s haki being stronger, thus winning the clash. The hotness of their fire symbolizing the fieryness of their respective power of will/haki.

Enel STILL has my favorite devil fruit. There are some dope devil fruits in the one piece world but the Goro Goro no Mi is top for me.

I hope they do a thing where two seperate arcs happen at the same time ish. Where because of a genius but mad scientist. Him and Enel end up turning Skypiea into a bustling metropolis and as they showed interactions between Enel and his right hand man. The new character takes a sample of Enel's dna (somehow) as a means of getting the same powers. Then they duke it out to see who deserves the devil fruit power more because the science 2nd in command wants to see if Enel deserves to call himself god. With the winner swapping positions. Then the science guy leaves with a humbled enel keeping an eye on things, then finds luffy's crew in a mess because such and such and joins as the scientist of the crew who helps give luffy more powers later playing a big role and doesn't use HIS powers often because OVERPOWEREDNESS! His personality would revolve around having a side where he's calm and collected but his other side takes pleasure in fighting with a passionate bloodlust for destruction amongst tyrants and scum that wouldn't be seen often but he'd balance research as he buffs up the crews weapons and stuff with training.

Enel is criminally underrated by so many people just because he appeared before Haki was officially a thing. The Goro Goro no Mi is not just another Logia. The range, speed, power and precision of those attacks are on a whole other level. I think Oda kind of overdid it with Enel, but hey he's canon :) And yes Mantra is INSANE even by current new world standards. And the combo of Mantra + Goro Goro no Mi is NUTS.

Enel only REQUIRES two things to be terrifying in the New World: 1. Learn his lesson with Luffy: people can attack him successfully. This technically means he gets rid of his overconfidence, but he can still think that he is a God, just not an untouchable one. 2.Better precognition observation haki. Katakuri proved that armament haki is useless if it doesn't actually hit you, so as long as Enel gets good at dodging attacks similar to Katakuri, it won't matter how strong his opponent is. The most important aspect of armament haki is that it allows you to bypass immunities that DF users have. Enel's DF allows him to bypass most immunities because lightning is hotter than the surface of the sun. If you don't think that tons of lightning is hot enough to surpass DF immunities in One Piece excluding Luffy, Big Mom, probably Kaido, and possibly Kizaru, than you don't understand how hot the sun is. If Enel were to land a direct hit on Katakuri with one of his stronger attacks, I would be surprised if Katakuri was still standing. If Enel lands a direct hit, almost all of the One Piece cast, they're down for the count.

The one thing Enel truly lacked was durability.. if Enel had good durability and Luffy wasn't immune, Enel would have had an easy win like he did with the rest of the Strawhats.

No, He was a better fighter than Luffy even without His DF, he was beating Luffy with his staff alone. Untill Luffy used Gomu Gomu Buu and "somehow" enel, a lightning speed couldn't hit him. The plot armor is strong.

To this day I still don't like how Oda handled Luffy v. Enel. I can understand Luffy having resistance to Enel's fruit but it shoudn't have been complete immunity. Lightning is hotter than the surface of the sun, and it's clearly shown that Enel has heat as part of his fruit via the gold. If not for his God complex, he would easily be top 5 in the series. Granted, that could be said for a lot of characters. Most characters don't live up to their potential.
But think about it in the world of one piece many have unique and strange powers. You are correct if we applied that concept of physics to rubber vs lightning. But int he world of one piece maybe Luffy’s rubber abilities are stronger than your typical rubber band lol just my thought

My understanding is that
To produce heat, lighting should transfer through, the rate of tranfer determines heat. And electricity does not transfer through rubber.

Now it doesnt ALL get concentrated to whatever it passes through because lightning is so fast. But not rock, metal or any substance ignores the heat.
This is why it was odd that Enel could melt the gold instantly, but didnt burn Luffy. Melting fucking metal is much more difficult than melting non metal even rubber.
And then theres the issue that enel isnt just passing the current, he is actively controlling and concentrating it. This is FAR deadlier and more destructive than your average lightning bolt.
I've been supporting the "Enel is STILL a god" train for around 6 or 7 years now and I'm glad someone actually took the TIME to explain it all out to people who don't understand everything about Enel. Also wanna add that I'm 100% sure Enel will return to the story as on the moon he learned ALOT of secrets of the old world, and still seeks to take over the blue seas, and that I would argue he could unlock Hao Haki if he began training basic haki.

Enel has shown one of the most creative and potent use of a logia devil fruit we have seen in the whole show.
He was just never pushed to develop a way of fighting someone who can hit him.

After Enel's beat down, I doubt that he would have the same ego as he did before. He likely learned his lesson of underestimating his opponents. Look at other villains/antagonists in the past (Bellamy, Crocodile..) Their entire character changed as a result of their beat down. I doubt Enel would be much different in terms of character development from what we've seen so far.

Unlike all of them, Enel still achieved his goal. He still got to his endless Vearth. He just didn’t manage to wipe his slate as cleanly as he had wanted before making his journey.

Great Video, Enel is definitively underrated. His powers are amazing.
I could even see Enel having Conquerer's Haki given his god complex.
Lightning as a power has a ton of potential, just look at Mikasa from the Toaru series. She can use her lightning to magnetize herself to stick to surfaces, she can collect and control iron sand from the ground, she can generate incredible amounts of heat with her lightning (she would've melted Luffy away) and of course there's her highly destructive signature move of using a coin as a Railgun projectile.
With how powers are used post-TS I could see Enel accomplishing similar feats.
Do one of these videos for Magellan, I'd love to see you analyze everything he brings to the table.

I'm guessing the part at the end where you placed Enel in around Ace's tier was his theoretical strength post timeskip after attaining basic armament. If so then I completely agree, I don't think it's that wild to say that.
Pre-timeskip Enel was really strong but his attributes were so unbalanced that I could easily see him loosing to people weaker than him in terms of overall strength because of his low tier durability. After all he wasn't just damaged by a pre timeskip Luffy, it was a pre gear luffy. For reference a pre gear Luffy struggled to harm Blueno. Anyway I'm not gonna go further into that cause you covered everything really well, thanks for the consistent uploads.
True defense wise Enel is weak then and who knows now but probably still weak. Still his destructive power is really very strong. Just thinking of how he can just spam his lightnings wherever he aims at. xD

In real life, electrons are quantum, capable of being either a wave or a particle. It would be cool if Enel learns more about electricity while on the moon and comes back even more powerful. Perhaps he could have some crazy attacks based on quantum theory like spooky action at a distance or entanglement.

Enel’s Fruit is really strong and incredibly versatile but the problem is his haki game. Observation is great, but you need strong armament in order to really fight with the heavy hitters. If his arms got good now for whatever reason, I would probably put him around second commander level.

y'all acting like armament is an end all be all powerup. Sure Armament is a significant powerup but Enel's devil fruit has more than enough destructive power to compensate for it. To touch Logia devil fruit users you only need basic armament and Enel probably got that post time skip. I mean Lightning gets hotter than the sun's surface for god's sake. So Enel could be out there one-shotting everybody and it wouldn't be an asspull but obviously, Oda won't do that.
That was 2 years ago. If he actually spent the last 2 years getting stronger then I would say he would be worth around 1.7-2 Billion now.

People can use Haki with their Logia DFs, lightning, Magma, and everything you can think of. and the proof comes from the story, Zoro managed to infuse armament haki in a SLASH against Monet. he cut her with a slash, this is for me enough proof that you can infuse haki with anything even if it was a magma fist or a light bullet.
zoro didnt use haki in that slash. Monet couldnt pull herself back together because she was scared shitless.

When it comes to Enels observation haki, i always thought of haki as more of a skill tree instead of a straight line of progression. Like, Luffy that sense enemies in a general direction or area and after fighting Katakuri, learned how to predict incoming attacks, but to me thats very different from someone like Usopps ability to literally see souls like he did in dressrosa. Id say they are both observation, but with different specialties and i think Enels observation haki is like Usopps but way stronger, almost like he can observe a massive area and pin-point who is where and what they are doing.

Physically speaking, he can't match up to important NW fighters. _Not_ budging on that. However, if Enel uses hit and run tactics to blast his target from miles away with El Thor, nobody would ever see him. And if someone by chance did find him, he could be on the literal other side of the island in three seconds, then repeat the process.

Luffy outsmarted Enel for sure with hitting the wall, he’s analytical in battle like Goku and came up with a good idea. There not book smart, but they’re battle geniuses and intuitive in combat.

As a huge Electricity Daddy fan, I'm really happy that you shed some light to what this character is truly capable of. Well- there are still a lot of things Enel can do that he isn't aware of, and would definitely put him on the highest of tiers, but that's besides the point. What I greatly dislike, however, is the way he got taken out. Even if we accept the wonky physics within the One Piece verse and digest the fact that Luffy is supposedly immune to electricity, the huge ball of gold he used to somehow take out his huge Raigo, is not. Therefore it doesn't make sense for Luffy to have been capable of preventing the destruction of Upper Yard, and it also doesn't fit well with me that he was also capable of sending an attack with his Gold imbued fist which is too fast for Enel to dodge. But I find the way he had handled Enel up until that point to be exceptional, so I'm not exactly complaining. Though there are sure a few, more reasonable ways with which one could have finished this Arc in a more uwu way.

Third commander level. Endurance and durability is straight trash. Got battered by a hakiless and gearless Luffy. Claiming the golden rifle was “too fast”.
Even marine fodder are learning haki due to Akainu so they have the potential to hit him. All commanders are pretty fast, have haki and hit hard - Enel would be done out here based on how he was dealt.
Now I can’t say he ain’t strong. He’s got a top 10 fruit no doubt and his observation haki is top tier.
THANK YOU!!! that is the perfect way to describe it, i always instantly think, with haki enel is getting straight WORKED. with scaling yk, luffy pre enies lobby power cliff was damaging enel so damn much its absurd he survived tbh. and that was just from a DF disadvantage, like i honestly cant see him beating ppl like lucci and kaku (pre-time skip) and i dont think enel can actually move at the speed of lightning nor react to those speeds based on his fight with luffy and wyper. similar to kizaru they only reach those speeds when using their DF not normally.

The only way enel could be on par with the supernovas or even Sanji is if he has rivaling haki to them, and he possibly could on the moon but that’s an unknown, based off what we’ve seen he’s not that powerful. We can assume he’s gotten stronger and can use haki but why assume he would grow at the same rate as someone like luffy, or zoro, especially since they’ve been through much more and been near death many more times and haki blooms more when you’re close to dying.
Commander level is a bit much. He would be the level of the rookies when they first got got into the new world.

Enel is a glass canon. Even for The New World standards, his offensive abilities are absolutely insane. Looking at his attacks, it seems he can make attacks much stronger than Ace's Dai Enkai: Entei, which is his ultimate attack. The big problem is, as you state, his durability. I do think, however, that you underplay this flaw. It takes two things to beat him; busoshoku haki to hit him and speed to land the hit. We know well over 50 characters with the haki, so all they need is speed. Most of these are WAY faster than Luffy was pre timeskip, and that Luffy was fast enough to land hits on Enel. Compare it to Ace, who took immense hits from Blackbeard and still fought, it's clear that Ace is simply on another level, putting Enel clearly way below a Whitebeard commander. Still, being below that doesn't mean you aren't strong, and Ace was among the strongest commanders. Enel could truly be a pirate of the New World, but he had to increase his durability or die rather fast.
