Yeah, sure the speed of lightning doesn't even compare to that of light, but here's a catch. Human reflexes take about at least 100ms to process (fastest known in real life is 120ms I think). So, at close range (maybe upto a mile), the speed gap between lightning and light is pretty much irrelevant. And we don't yet know for sure whose observation haki is better.
If by any chance Enel has better reflexes than Kizaru, Enel can put up a fight (if he learns armament that is), unless Kizaru pulls so far away that the speed gap starts making a huge impact.
I hope someday kizaru looks at the moon and says “that looks cool” and goes there and meets eneru

Kaido is literally the only exception because he is stated to be incapable of being killed. Any other human is susceptible to death by electricution. And other techniques like a rail gun. Just because they have haki on doesnt mean suddenly their organs cant shut down and their nervous system is immune to tampering. Its also been shown that haki cant stop all phyical blows, it isnt a perfect impervious armor. Eneru could make a railgun powered by him capable of killing most people on the grand line. The projectile could be the size of a pin and go faster than literally any other projectile ever shown in one piece. Whether the yankos would notice it is yet to be seen as we dont have much power scaling info on them. But for sure Eneru could kill yankos. Dont act like you fuckin no everything dumbass.

EK Vipero Kizaru fights like that when he’s confident that he doesn’t need to go all out. he has great battle awareness, like when he shot white beard’s arm before white beard was about to punch akainu. Im sure kizaru isn’t some mindless admiral that has an OP devil fruit.
He has such an op devil fruit and can basically teleport. He has observation haki so if he just used it in combat then he would be a beast. If he learn buso Haki then he would have been godly. Such an op devil fruit wasted on an arrogant person

The speed of sound is actually the speed at which waves ie vibrations move through air. That means that Whitbread attacks would 100% move at the speed of sound. Interestingly enough, that speed is much faster through the water.

Lightning is plasma eneru could develop his lighting to condense to lightsaber levels of heat.
Lightning is not plasma. Plasma is a 0 charge soup of positive and negative ions.
And it's already very hot, condensing electricity doesn't make it hotter.

Tekking, you have to understand that speed of sound is not fast in the One Piece universe. Travel speed does not matter as much in a fight because what matters is reaction time. That's why Rayleigh can keep up with Kizaru because his reaction time is insane due to his future sight haki. If all that mattered in a fight was how fast a character was Kizaru would have easily brought in every pirate in the world due to how fast he is no questions asked.

I think because he was able to function at the speed of Thunder as shown by him knowing exactly when to stop and attack contrasted by how kizaru has to preplan all of his stuff means that he's equal to or slightly below lightning
Tobacco Marshall There is a huge difference in speed between thunder and lighting do even if he can move react and so on in the speed of sound it doesn't mean he could do the same thousands of times over that speed.
In any case if we going by Eneru going in the speed of thunder aka the speed of sound he became one of the slower characters in the verse considering bos Zoro Luffy and Sanji were able to react to cannon balls and guns with would put there reaction speed around the speed of sound.

Based on what I can tell. Yes, speed of sound is pretty high level even in One piece. I do indeed think that Luffy fights at... well at least dodge and attacks at speeds past the speed of sound. But I would not credit him with anything past 3000km/h. Even for their reaction speed and ability to dodge, it should not be more than 2/3 the speed of lightning. Even that I think would give them too much credit. There is a reason why Nami and her lightning attacks are still relevant and really good. Not being able to prepare for it, there is very few if any who can actually dodge or counter it.
And Kizaru seem lazy yes? He could bring in a lot of pirates if he could be bothered. But even Kisaru, even if he think he is light speed himself, is not. There is just no way that would work. Perhaps he is past lightning. That is possible. But even that would probably not be with a high multiplier. At least it should not try to touch on light speed for real. Its stupid the same way time travel to the past would be stupid.....

When I was watching One Piece back then in Germany, his name was "Enel" .
TECHNICALLY, his name is officially translated as Enel, even in English, but the Funimation dub said Eneru, so that’s what most people say to this day.

tekking, it was stated by oda that enerus strongest attack is as powerful as a typical lightning bolt. this means that it is like 15000 degrees F which would (obviously) melt rubber in seconds. you have to remember this though, real life physics dont apply to one piece, and luffy isnt made of just rubber, its rubber coated in plot armor.
People are way more durable in one piece than in our world. Not just with plot armor. They die harder, they heal faster, they live longer. If Enel couldnt even kill a normal non rubber person, it doesnt feel weird Luffy was completely immune.
It would be really funny if Oda made a devil fruit that was like the luck fruit from film gold that was just the plot plot no mi which just makes a character impossible to be killed or something dumb like that.

Enel would be more effective against akainu than u may think, when ionic lattices are in a molten state, ions can actually move freely and so the magma could be quite conductive
Volcanos sometimes actually generate lightning due to the ash show into the sky. And lava is not just rock but ore as well, molten ore but still. This means it could conduct an electrical charge. I think Enel's Goro Goro could actually hurt the Magu Magu by being hotter and conducting through the Magma itself. And Oda's retconning of higher heat trumps lower heat (Remember when he was doing the Enel fight he likely was not considering that)
Really all these fights depends on how much control over electricity the Goro Goro actually has. If Enel could train himself to a point were he could say control small electrical currents such as nerve impulses well he wins every fight.

@white america's worst nightmare He could literally move at the speed of lightning. Which is a third of the speed of light, which makes him the second fastest character in One Piece.
@Lt Fuckwit Meteors don't move anywhere close to the speed of light, if a meteor were moving even a 1,000th the speed of light ot would literally obliterate anything it touches instantly. Observation Haki doesn't give you lightspeed reaction speed, it just gives you the ability to anticipate your opponent's moves. If Kizaru were to fire a beam at someone with Observation Haki, they would know the beam is coming then move before Kizaru fires it. And I doubt Luffy can move anywhere close to the speed of lightning, or even sound, unless you're talking about gear second, in which he uses shave to move at possibly the speed of sound.
@Lt Fuckwit We saw that the meteor wasn't moving that fast in the Earth's atmosphere, if it was moving at light speed before it was being pulled by Earth's gravity, it should've been moving even faster than lightspeed while in the Atmosphere, but it obviously wasn't. Marco could only intercept because he had invulnerability and because Oda said so. If Doffy had to react to it last second, then his observation was slow, because it's meant to give you as much time as possible to react. He should've been able to hear the meteor coming. And if you say Fujitora has reality bending powers, who's to say he doesn't just make meteors appear inside the atmosphere? We've never got to see the meteors falling until after he used the ability, and it seems like they pop into the atmosphere way too fast for how slow they move.
Quick point I want people to keep in mind. Remember when eneru got hit by the reject dial and his heart stopped? Now remember when eneru just shrugged that off, no problem? So unless the person fighting eneru splatters him across the pavement or pierced him, blunt force alone isn’t going to kill him permanently
To anyone who wants to know I have an excellent power for Enels awakening: the manipulation of electrons.
Electrons are what current travels through to conduct electricity, but this current can only pass through delocalised electrons in that materials compound, for example, copper has lots of delocalised electrons, rubber doesn’t. So, if Enel were able to manipulate those electrons, then he could delocalise all of them and be able to maximise his lightning damage (he can do this to those materials his lightning doesn’t affect like the ground and rubber). Basically, there would be no counters to his lightning except for something like ryou haki, so no characters in the series can evade his almost ‘infinite power’.

But he's not really lightning. He's thunder. Lightning is a consequence of needing to create thunder naturally. Because it's a logia. Eneru is wildly creative even if he's so arrogant he can't see outside his own imagination.

@@tc-channelhobby4051 would it not be possible for the user to be wrong? The fruit isn't a "Lighting Lighting Fruit" Goru is not Lighting. The fruit gives the power to generate thunder. Thunder is the consequence of lightning super heating the air. Can't super heat the air that way without lightning. Kinda like Aokiji is the concept of cold but it manifests as ice because of the huge amount of water in the environment. Can't make stuff cold below 0° without the water around it going solid. Same thing.
@@radaro.9682 he already knows his fruit, he even fused it with his haki or observation haki and made his power even more powerful that it could even rival characters that can as well see the future or foresight and he did this with predicting that only five would survive the trials with near success as Luffy and the other girl are stuck in the snakes belly.

If he knows his value and came down from skypiea to the lands of WG, he would be like the wright brothers, the pioneers of planes that we use today and would as well learn that he needs to learn more and stop having god complexes.

I think Luffy not being affected by Eneru's lightning is less about heat and more two defil fruit concepts fighting each other. The concept of electricity wouldn't effect the concept of rubber.

Tekking this is an overall very well made video, however you are seriously underestimating the speed of these characters.
Luffy and Zoro have been shown to be able to doge bullets and move faster than the normal human eye can see, the average pistol shot travels at 1,700 mph (more than mach 2) and the human eye can track small objects moving around 9,000 mph (almost mach 12)
considering how much stronger and faster higher powered characters like Yonko and Admirals are and how much Luffy and Zoro have grown since these feats you could easily put them at hyper-sonic to relativistic to light considering Luffy was able to doge the Pasifictas lazer beams.

That isn't true. If they would be this fast tjey had to break the sound barrier each time they moved. And the friction would actually kill them.
The thing with dodging bullets is this that they can sense in which direction and when the shot will be released, an then they just dont stand where the shot would have hit.
@@bernhardecker9453 You need to realize that these are characters who have shown high levels of durability beyond normal humans. Something that would kill a human easily wouldnt even phase these characters. That and the idea of just predicting when the bullet is going to hit or which direction is still relying on the idea the person is going to be slower at pushing the trigger then the person's reaction times and their speed.

Bernhard Ecke zoro swings a piece of metal and a giant wind dragon or tornado comes out of it and cuts up his enemy, I’m gonna say you can’t apply basic human logic and physics to most characters
Few points:
1. Admirals know that "outside of body" kind of Haki and can block seemingly any kind of attacks with that. I'm pretty sure that they can deflect lightning bolts to some extent like that.
2. Enel can't beat anyone with roughly equal strength. He's perfect example of large fish in a small pond and has most likely never fought anyone who comes even close to him in terms of raw power. He most likely doesn't have any plan for battle of Kuzan vs Sakazuki caliber. In fact, he rarely even has to show up to fight because he can obliterate armies from a distance. It's clear that he's still skilled in combat and has insane physical strength but unlike him admirals, warlords and other similar character have to be prepared to face someone of equal or even greater strength. For example I doubt that Kaido was captured by some random bunch of captains.
3. Lightning not only fucks with your nervous system but Enel levels of lightning should straight up stop your heart and bolt through anyone's chest should cause instant death. Of course anime science won't work like that but if try to apply science to this, that cannot be overlooked. Maybe someone with full body Haki could block attack like that puts too much strain on user to be sustainable for long.
4. I'm pretty sure that all fruits have some kind of energy consumption if you use them to their maximum capability. Just staying in incorporeal form may not make Enel sweat but I doubt that he could fire those town-busting bolts infinitely. We just never see that because we haven't witnessed any of those battles that last several days.
So basically: If Enel has patience to keep his distance and just keeps firing small and concentrated bolts, I doubt that anyone besides Yonko and Kizaru, maybe (fleet) admirals and of course Mihawk and Garp could beat him and if Enel can stop their hearts, maybe even none of them besides Blackbeard. But he won't because of his personality and there will always be a moment when any noteworthy character in the series has chance to pummel him to the dirt.
His lightnings would just go through any logia user, letting them unaffected, because he can't coat them in haki.
And even if they were to be coated in haki (which isn't really possible) they would still be unable to touch Katakuri who would just be able to react to, and dodge everything single one of these lightnings with his future sight.
So he would basically get beaten by any logia (or special paramecia) user having some basic mastery of armament and observation haki.

The problem with lightning is that it's wild and because of this the ground and other conductive elements can disperse it. However, Eneru's lightning isn't wild and is always portrayed as a straight line attack instead of the zigzagy form lightning usually takes, it's because Eneru has complete control over the lightning and where it's going. The only reason Luffy was able to beat Eneru was because of plot armor. Even Nami states that Eneru could kill Luffy a thousand different ways. A million things had to go right for Luffy to win that fight and if someone told me that luffy snorted a line of the luck luck fruit I wouldn't be surprised.

So watching Eneru post time skip closely, his attacks, his movement speed, his combat skills and honestly, Eneru was never really a viable threat except him being a logia. In fact it was shown that Wiper, using a reject dial beat Eneru and killed him but he was revived by his fruit. Wiper is a strong warrior but nowhere near Admiral or Yonko. Hell Doflamingo, Hancock, and Mihawk would own Wiper and Eneru. Characters have been shown that speed in One Piece is broken as hell. A example being Luffy dodging the Pacifista laser beams which are made of light and move at light speed. Zoro has moved from one location to another instantly and with people watching him but unable to follow him.
Eneru has no combat skills, he relied solely on his fruit to fight and protect him and has always been top dog in his very small yard. Even if he learned haki and came down to the Blue Sea he would still be a small fish because of his extreme lack of combat skills, his lack of adaption in combat, his lack of training with his fruit. Eneru is a embodiment of Logia getting killed because of reliance. This was shown when he couldn't use lightning on Luffy he practically panicked, he showed no warrior training or skill to adapt against a opponent not effected by his power.
Now his speed, Lightning in our world is fast but we can see it. We see it every time their is a lightning storm. In the One Piece world speed is nothing as we seen with the shave technique how fast Rob Lucci and CP9 could move, how fast Luffy can move in 2nd gear would have him smashing Eneru from every possible position. Big mom took a super bolt from Nami/Zeus and it did nothing, Big Mom called Kaido "That Thing" Meaning he is even stronger than her and he one shot time skip Luffy like he was nothing. A person that beat Eneru before he even had his gears. Blackbeard can negate Devil fruits and is shown that he can pull people towards him. As for Whitebeard there were several techniques Whitebeard used that would shatter Eneru. For one being when he grabbed the air and yanked, that would send Eneru spiraling and as I said his lack of combat skills and inability to adapt to new situations would drop and Whitebeard only needs one hit.
As for Akainu, lightning means nothing to him. Volcanoes when erupting produce lightning and those bolts hit the magma doing nothing to it. Akainu is also a trained warrior with a massive range of attacks and can superheat everything around him. It once more comes down to Eneru not being able to adapt to a new situation, Akainu would have a lava fist in Eneru.
As for Shanks...there is no fight against Shanks. Hell, Shanks would probably Conqueror haki, Eneru and drop him.
Eneru was powerful enough in Skypia where his power was absolute. But on the Blue Sea where speed is not an issue, where warriors constantly battle for supremacy. No, Eneru would be a strong pirate, maybe 400 million but I don't see him anywhere near admiral or Yonko.

One thing I want to mention about Eneru’s lighting strikes is the limit: since every other devil fruit that produces something has a limit and the character is -most of the time- tired out from overproduction, Eneru doesn’t use dozens of strikes as often as he can when we’ve seen him fought.
Remember Biscuit? He mentioned having no limit in biscuit production but after an all night buffet fight against Luffy, we saw him get noticeably exhausted and that’s just basic biscuit production. He’s not increasing the size of them or doing anything fancy most of the time during the fight so his endurance was pretty measurable. Since Eneru tried increasingly larger strikes against Luffy and Eneru’s heavenly punishment wasn’t as consistent as Old Faithful, I think it’s fair to say that there’s a definite limit to his ability to produce lighting before he starts to get slower and worn out.

Electrical engineer here. Regarding to Enel vs Luffy. More than the heat factor there is something else.
There is something called breakdown voltage. To make it easy, air is normal an insulator but after a certain voltage there is a breakdown (lightning).
I found as an breakdown voltage for rubber 50000 per mm. Luffy is 1750 mm tall. From head to ground you need 87 500 000 volt for a breakdown. Enel can make 200 000 000. So basically luffy would explode. This would happen with most of the opponents. So yes enel is op as f

Eneru was however pretty lazy. He basically had no reason not to be. He never faced anyone even somewhat able to deal with him. Even if someone could kill him. His fruit automatically restarts his heart and shit. It is very possible his eyes where opened by having Luffy be such a challenge. If a random person from the ground can do that, then I need to be ready for them. Or something like that.
It is very possible he could use his fruit in many ways, doing for example something similar to luffy's gear 2. Basically, if he faces hard times, he would become really scary.

We did see Luffy being burned a ton of times, from far less. I’m sure it’s the same logic, as the crazy healing powers Luffy have, even regrowing teeth, his body is just weird like that, or the devil fruit system just made Luffy fully immune, because of how broken it is. That or his body is just like kid buu, obviously not with all of kid buu powers, but the rubber body makes him like kid buu, and it makes him more like bungee gum more than plain rubber (it has the property of both rubber and gum)

Matt your underestimating one piece character speed. Kuma litterally stated that his attacks can move at the speed of light and zorro dodge a crap ton of them and this is pre time skip zorro. To be fair zorro may have used observations haki at that point but even if thats argued thats still a way slower character than anyone you have fighting in this battle against eneru.
Another thing to note is that luffy has properties of rubber the heat and cold resitance of one peice characters are just really high. I think it was crocodile and jinbei were unflinching when they take the punishment when entering impel down and luffy survies heat and cold all of the time.
After acttually getting through this video i guess the biggest problem is that your overestimating eneru speed /underestimating everyone elses speed. He is not that fast compared to everyone else arguably he is quite a bit slower than his opponets. His attacks wouldnt acttually hit that often and arent damageing enough to kill any of them very quickly. I think the warlords are probally better opponets for him their power ranges wildly but in gereral are much closer match ups and he could probally easily be one if he was on the blue sea
Zoro likely wasn't dodging the actual shockwaves Kumar sent though, he was probably watching Kumas hands and figuring out where the shockwaves would be based on how his hands were pointed, as opposed to reacting to the lightspeed shockwaves, which would be ridiculous, also, while kizarus speed with light based attacks tends to vary greatly, have you ever actually seen someone go faster than those lasers? Because I haven't

@@MillenniumEarl014 "the leidenfrost effect" i actually think that luffy didnt melt because the electricity only heats stuff when said stuff has a resistance to the voltage that is running trough it . you can see lightning bolts because the energy in the lightning itself is ionizing the air turning it into plasma , but because luffy is made of rubber he cannot be heated by eneru's power since electricity doesnt flow trough rubber therefore he cannot be burned , if he was made of some other material lets say copper , then he would be anihilated in mere milliseconds (sry for bad english)
Hey Tekking, I'm not sure if this has already been said but vibration can not travel through a vacuum but neither can electricity. Both need a medium to travel through same with heat. Light does not need a medium since it is both a particle and a wave (photons). This is why vacuum sealed windows are so effective at insulating homes in the winter, the heat cannot escape through a vacuum only the solid material and open gaps.

Akainu vs Enel. if you follow OP logic, Enel has the potential to burn through akainu like akainu did ace.
Luffy vs enel.
yes he didnt melt. but i think its because the lightning didnt struck luffy. as in hit him. it just passes through or rather it just moves around him, as in lightning has no effect on luffy in it self. but when he melted the gold, or altered it, with heat, it did burn luffy, because the gold itself was the conducter.. Imagine a water flow. it moves without any obstacles. thats what happened with luffy, but imagine a rock or stick in that waterflow, like that, just to paint a picture.
Kizaru vs Enel.
well. if you really dwell into it, then enel has the potential to reach the up to the 3rd of kizarus speed, after all, its the lightning, not thunder that hurts you.
still is a huge gap, but, when the numbers are so high, i dont think it matters, it all comes down to who can controle it the most, if you ask me thats where the observation haki comes into play. which enel has the advantage. since his is vastly superior to any observation haki we have seen. im basing this on kizarus fight with Reyleigh, because, He has no powerups.,
IF a Human can keep up with a kizaru doing his best, then surely a human with lightning powers can aswell.

Enel vs BB, its over before it started, even if enel strikes first, BB wil scream a bit like he usually does, but will eventually get hold of enel since he can suck him in like he did with luffy and ace.
Fuji vs Enel. all observation haki works the same, the vibrations are a plus. Stated by Enel himself. said that. i think fuji is the only one that can match enel in observation, which would half enels power in a fight, so not so favorable for enel here.

I enjoyed it, maybe you cant tell from my comment, but Enel is actually one of my favorite characters. He is strong and a very capable fighter( watching him adapt to luffy's power despite him not knowing what rubber is, was awesome. as you mentioned, He has huge flaws in his personality, and come on if we had the power of lightning, surely you would want everyone to bow before you aswell. but that being said. there is one thing youre missing.
Enel is NOT a durable fighter. heck if zoro had armament back in that arch i think he could dispose of enel aswell. i used to argue that enel could potentionally beat kizaru on 1 v1, but i recently began rewatching OP and realized, that he isnt that strong of a character to begin with, as you said, The Lightning powers granted him instant powers. however. he is a "Glass cannon" why ? after a few punches from luffy, he went down, Even crocodile lasted longer. heck he actually beat luffy twice, and one time luffy even exploited his weakness.
anyways., this is my opinion that i base on things i know from the series and with a slight touch of thinking.
I love Enel but he's not beating ANY of the admirals or yonko. You overestimate Enel & downplay just about everyone he's matched up against.
Long Story short Enel lacks real experience. just one among MANY things.
Also speed feats are VERY inconsistent. Real world logic doesn't work in one piece.

The only thing Enel has going for him is his broken devil fruit, but i doubt that the admirals or the yonko wouldn’t find a way to counter it or avoid it and send him back to the moon with one punch.
@Ursa Major Tekking is really trying to make it as logical as he can in this video. Which is fine but the things Tekking is saying as if it's factual does not check out because one piece is full of super humans then all it comes down to is experience which again Enel does not have.

I think a lot of chars suffer from "early story arc nerf" here, Eneru and croc are 2 examples. Both are STRONGER than showcased in their battles with Luffy, but they had to be nerfed due to being early in story so Luffy could win.
I mean example would be how Don flamingo fought croc and did not 1 shot him, sure you could say he was toying with him, but croc was not scared.
So I think both would be more powerful than what we saw in the early arcs.
The thing about Enel's fruit though, in contrast to Zeus, is that there's no limit to how long he can hold a lightning attack.
Power is the rate at which energy is utilized. Even though there's a limit to Enel's wattage, there's no limit to the total energy he can send into Big Mom's body. She clearly felt pain when zapped by Zeus. Maybe she can tank it for 10 seconds. But 20 seconds? A minute? 5 minutes? I would think her endurance would run out eventually. For big mom to harm Enel she has to get close to him (depending on how her devil fruit will work here), and that's incredibly difficult considering his raw speed.
We know that Enel can send lightning bolts down on people from the distance of an island. From the sky even. How can big mom contend with that? Zeus and prometheus aren't doing anything to Enel.
@@shaggyzor I agree. The plot armor protected every main and big character on Skypiea (and Alabasta). I think Wyper and Pagaya could have died to give more seriousness to the story, but Oda loves to do that lol

She only got a little damage from the second Zeus discharge in her weakened state. Also, I'm sure she can cover her already tough skin with armament haki, so I can't see Enel doing so much damage on her.
If it's BM on Hunger Pangs mode, where she gets weaker and does not think clearly, probably he can defeat her, though.
Big Mom easily kept up with Bound Man Luffy which is way faster than speed based forms like gear 2nd. Let's remember that gear 4th easily speed blitzed Doflamingo which was 3rd commander tier in terms of power and speed.
Next Kaido in turn speed blitzed Luffy instantly.
Every one of the Yonko are higher in terms of dc especially Black Beard/Whitebeard. The admirals are probably not far behind either because Oda gave a really similar statement to Akainu's fruit as he did Enel's.
Both Kaido and Big Mom would not be damaged by him. End of story.
Alternate take for Whitebeard. The lightning supercharges his heart, thus screwing eneru.
As for Fujitora, if any character has an awakened ability, it will be an Admiral, and a potentially awakening for Gravity could be something like creating localized black holes. I think Eneru would be screwed even without that.
The term thunder is interchangeable with lightning you can use either one, so it's not wrong to say you heard lightning or saw thunder, so when he said you can escape the speed of thunder he was referring to the speed of lightning since they are both the same thing.
If he can turn into electricity I'm pretty sure he can move just as fast as electricity

If we are taking that in to consideration the. That means kizaru is light speed, does that mean Marco and kizaru where fighting at light speed??!? When Marco was punched by garp does that mean garp is light speed?!? Does that mean garp can travel around the world 1000s of times per second?!?? ODA does not care about speed as much as he focuses on story telling. He’s a story teller do not try to put physics on to one piece, it’s not that kind of battle manga
@@arvidpetersson2252 It could be thtat he can move at light speed but he doesn't have the ability to percieve things at light speed (basicaly he doesn't have the reaction time for it) and thus he only uses it to jump around on the battlefield (which is what he does)

Enel’s normal lighting bolts didn’t kill Ussop pre timeskip how would you think enel’s attacks would do any damage to whitebeard and also luffy was able to avoid some of enel’s attacks so of course any yonko and admiral would be able to avoid enel’s attacks
With Whitebeard, I think we also have to take into account how he is very old and was not in his prime at marineford. He could probably tank quite a few lightning bolts just from being WHITEBEARD, but at the end of the day he’s eventually going to be defeated if Eneru keeps his distance.
You also have to realize that Oda wasn't going to just straight up have Ussop get killed that early on in the story. Your logic < plot armor
Sérgio Fridschtein Enel can vary the intensity of his attacks, so the voltage obviously wasnt powerful enough to kill Ussopp.

Thunder moves faster than the speed of sound. That's why it's such a sharp CRACK when it strikes close. The rumbling later is the echoes you hear when it's slowed to the speed of sound. Thunder is created when the air that the lightning travels through is heated up to that insane temperature and expands. It's an explosion which means a mass of air expanding at supersonic speeds.
Also you actually right that white beard vibrations could bend lightning. Lightning travels like light at different speed thru different materials and vibrations cause material to have different density that would do this. Many vibrations emitting from a center could bend lightning around

An Earthquake in the Air is the same concept as breaking the sound barrier in my opinion (like thunder).
From my shoddy math an earthquakes force even at .1 on the Richter scale would be at least triple the force needed to break the sound barrier so assuming that White beard can exert the same amount of force in air as he could on the earth it would be absolutely devastating
The speed of sound is literally the speed of which vibrations spread through the air, while the force of the vibration is represented by the intensity (or, in case of sound, the volume). Therefore Whitebeards quakes would move at exactly the same speed as thunder. I also imagened the Gura Gura no Mi as enabling someone to create and control vibrations rather than just earthquakes. And we have not seen the full extnd of the power of this fruit yet.
Vibration in air don't need to move at the speed of sound.

I'm sure thoughts on this have changed. But the Enel presented in Skypiea gets no diffed by every admiral, yonko, and commander, and probably still loses to most below that like tobi ropo, oven etc.
These characters are certainly light speed plus and have haki. Enel has neither of those and probably loses for that reason alone considering how he relies on his fruit.
Keep in mind Drake was dodging Kizaru's blasts pre time skip which are inarguably light speed.

I'm not an astrophysicist but based off of everything I've studied, it would have to be an insane amount of gravity to change the course of a lightning bolt. Just think that gravity bends space and thus bends the path of light around larger objects. This is over an extremely large area and even then it doesnt redirect really, just curves the light. We would have to be talking about something along the lines of a blackhole to actually redirect the light in a different direction, and if that was the case, Fujitora's gravity fruit just becomes extremely overly powerful being able to destroy everything on the planet instantly if he wanted to.
However he _could_ use his gravity to extremely compress the air around him, making a pillar of very dense air; this air would have a higher resistance than the air around him, so Enel's lightning would just curve around it and miss... Plus you know, Fujitora wouldn't have to destroy the planet to achieve that, which is usually a plus
